Hey all, since it's been about a week since I've posted anything I thought we could do something different for a change! Progress Report #3 will be posted in a couple of days... in the meantime I wanted to ask a more open-ended question for once. No polls, nothing crazy, just digging for some feedback. So...

What are your favorite games besides Radiant?

This here's a shame-free zone, so I'll delete any comments/replies knocking or criticizing others for their preferences. People are allowed to like what they like! Please keep that in mind. By the way... it doesn't just have to be adult games: you are also welcome to tell me about other non-adult games you enjoy if it fits or you think it's relevant.

AVN wise I'd say (of course Radiant) Eternum/Once in a Lifetime - Caribdis Ripples - Jestur Stray Incubus - Flynn974 Evermore - Prometheus The Rose Garden Trilogy - Lockheart Love of Magic (steam) - Droid Productions There's others, but I've headed towards harem route games instead of the normal play 600 route games lately. Normal games are split between single and crew. Single Lies of P Outer Wilds (beaten 2 times, haven't finished dlc) Hardspace Shipbreaker Crew Warhammer 40k Darktide Lethal Company (very recent) Northgard (recently) Deep Rock Galactic (repetitive but very fun) Otherwise I spend my off time watching anime, great new season imo, or vtubers/YouTubers.

Responding to everyone above this: I've played some of MNF. Great game! Haven't tried MNM yet. I'm a big fan of Eternum and Once in a Lifetime. Caribdis is a great dev and he's a fan of Radiant! We shoot the shit sometimes over on Discord. Haven't played any of the others you guys listed (Ravager, Wicked Rogue, Ripples, etc.) but I'll put 'em on my list.

My AVN journey started with Summertime Saga. I love that game. Then there is Sunshine Love, Young Again, Photo Hunt, and My New Memories. If I were to rank then in order of favorites: 1- Summertime Saga 2- Radiant (sorry) 3- Sunshine Love 4- Photo Hunt 5- Young Again 6- My New Memories

I've played way too many... I'll rate a few that I felt impressed by (maybe not by today's standard): 1. Love Off Magic (amazing writing) 2. Artemis (intriguing world) 3. Eternum (amazing world building) 4. Tales From The Unending Void (amazing world building) 5. The Deluca Family (interesting story) 6. The Headmaster (game I like despite of it's ordinary graphics) 7. Harem Hotel (one of my earlier favorite) 8. Jack o Nine Tails (different vibe, hugely customizable) ...... There are also quite a few Steam ones, but can't remember on the top of my head...

Being a DIK may have been my first foray into non JP games, but I'm kinda over the 6-7+ replays of the same content each new update. Last update, I played Others branch (for Lily <3) and called it there. Still amazing graphically though, and I do enjoy the story and chars for sure.

I love it! Some good story building has been going on. The updates feel substantial. I appreciate that the Dev gives time for majority of the main characters.

I own and tried to play MW5 Merc, as I was a big fan of 2 growing up. I've only played the first mission, but I felt the visuals were lackluster and the mission/controls were wonky as heck. Did you mod it or am I just terrabad at 5? Wondering if I should give it a second chance.

There are 6 main girls and a few sides so far, you start off hypnotising them as a joke to change their bodies ( bigger boobs/butt, etc.) But have the option of altering attitudes later on (for more submission or openness for example). It wasn't very release heavy last year but hopefully it picks up this year

I tend to think of the games as being in a "legitimately amazing games that happen to have porn", then "porn games that are also solid games", and then "good games for a fap". These 3 are hands down the best out there that I have seen. They are amazing games in a special class. I too was a mw2 fan back in the day. While I agree with the lacklustre visuals, I found the controls fine after playing for a while. Mayhaps I just grew used to them. As for the story it’s not all that good, just play it as a sandbox a blow up mechs!

I really enjoy games that involve pregnancy or are leading up to pregnancy - so Radiant DEFINITELY falls into that category. ;) That being said, I prefer games that also have tentacles, transformation, and/or futa. So, one of my all-time favorite games is The Agnietta ~Healer and the Cursed Dungeon. The J-game Contamination is also excellent. Also high on the list are: Companion of Darkness (for the amazing storytelling) Depths Revival (harem game) Futagenesis Unveiled (futa of course, plus some fantastic storytelling) Hero Party Must Fall (corruption, transformation, and some great storytelling, although it also has netori so fair warning) Hypnosis (another harem game, this one with breast and ass expansion - plus hypnosis of course) Love of Magic (harem game, amazing storytelling) Midlife Crisis (yet another harem game) My Bully is My Lover (yet another harem game with some brilliant storytelling) My Employee's Family (harem game with netori) Rise of Corruption (corruption plus harem, funny story) The Inn (another harem game with funny story) I won't mention my own game that I'm still working on, albeit VERY slowly since IRL is kicking my ass atm. It is not the reason I stared playing AVNs, but it's why I play them now: to experience intense emotions, good and bad ones. Essentially, I measure AVNs by the emotional turmoil* they cause in me. With that in mind, this is my top 3 that hasn't changed in a long time: 1. *Leap of Faith* by Drifty Games, a wonderful heartbreaking story about healing broken people 2. *Summer Scent* by The Naughty Captain, an intense emotional roller-coaster experience that touched me deeply; I love it's ever-present gloomy, melancholic atmosphere 3. *Summer's Gone* by Ocean, slipping into the role of a mentally ill protagonist has been one the the most fascinating and touching experience I had with AVNs Of course, there are a number of others that are more than worth mentioning here — and Radiant is amongst them — but it's so very difficult to rank them so I'd rather not even try. * In this context, reading Gracie's letter after a very short build-up is to this day one of the most intense moments I've experienced with AVNs. It was the first time I was touched to a crying fit after a build-up that I would have thought was far too short to be capable of that. Something similar with an also very short build-up has only happened to me once afterwards with Yesterday's Crossroads by CHAQUINN0. It usually takes a much longer build-up before a story is able to move me to tears.

Sad, cuz it hit like a Mac Truck the first time I played it. But just like BaDIK, I think the branches, story, chars, and increasing elaborate visuals and animations must be draining to all hell. Hopefully he finishes it, but it's still one of the greats that originally got me into this...heh...hobby.

My list is just the tip of the iceberg. I just wrote down what was at the top of my head at that moment. I tried Amnesia, but I really, really dislike sandbox format. I see AVNs as a digital trashy erotic/romance novel. I'm here for the story, I have no desire to waste time grinding. If I want to grind, I'll go and play Warframe or something.

Same with After the Inferno although a little rushed at the end. And possibly Lost at Birth, when it gets more content. The key things for me to start is good visual art followed by a story that is interesting and not 2 blocks of wood staring at each other. Audio is a bonus

Hands down, light of my life (naughty road), it might not be like most AVN, but the story's build up, the characters design and payoff is what makes it worth it. If i had one negative opinion about it, it would be that the time it takes to get a new chapter is a real trial but the creator has his work cut out for him and i understand that i need to be patient. This AVN is still my favorite out of the other ones I've played.

Eternum, Everything Eva Kiss made(Good Girl Gone Bad and Our Red String), Leap of Faith, Acting Lessons, Once in A Lifetime, City of Broken Dreamers, Naughty Lyanna (this is just my Kink) liked Milfy City alot until recently when the "supposed end" got pushed out with almost no content. There is more infront of Milfy City but that game somewhat made me fell in love with 3D Adult VNs. (sadly turned to bad) Also just to give a little bit of Push here maybe, Radiant would slot between Once in A LIfetime and City of Broken Dreamers so I like it alot.

I realize I'm a bit late to the conversation, but there's some really good ones out there with decent story telling. Radiant is obviously one of my favorites, but I am quite enjoying a few others. Such a Sharp Pain is a good one... Desert Stalker is great, A Couples Duet of Love and Lust is fun, Sunshine Love is slightly slower than I typically like but it's a good little story... Project Myriam is entertaining... plus there are some recommendations here in this list I will be checking out.

Late to the convo, but I've been on a long hiatus the past few years and am just now getting back into VNs. Pretty sure all my current faves have been mentioned already, but I am a sucker for actual plot. Leap of Faith by Drifty still has me tearing up and his new one u4ia started strong. Chasing Sunsets has a strong narrative as well. Evermore by Prometheus got the harem fantasy/myth vibe on lock. Ripples by jestur has time travel which is refreshing. Zaniths 'A House in the rift' for small harem and magic/fantasy. (Rae is best girl btw... narrowly beat Skyler from ripples. Skyler sus now). For pure comedy I'd say check out Realm Invader by Invader Gary. It's short but hilarious. Honorable mention with comedy is ProjektPassion. Also short but maaaan I was laughing. If you're a slap n tickle fan? Deviant Anomalies can scratch that for ya.. Ummm...That's all I can think off the top of my head.
