So Christmas is fast approaching guys and we're now THREE episodes into the 12 days of Chrismas, with the next episode out later today.

In case you missed it, every other day in the run up to Christmas I'm releasing a video on Abroad in Japan or the Chris Abroad channel and so far it's been going pretty well.

I've relished the creative challenge of trying to think up a video everyday, then quickly filming it and editing it before the day is out. It's been great to put the brand new studio to use finally too.

So far this week we've had:

1) 47 Things to do in JAPAN | Ultimate Travel Guide
🍿https://youtu.be/_9aUy56n-yI

2) Why Everyone HATES Me on Amazon Prime
🐈https://youtu.be/IPGLhCq2RNk

3) The Most AWKWARD Encounters I've Had with Viewers in Real Life

ALSO we've now got the Patreon exclusive outtakes and commentary for the recent video with Ryotaro explaining WHY we've avoided shooting in Akita until now, as there were some genuine reasons.

Still, we're just getting warmed up! Plenty more amazing videos in store this December guys.

Enjoy the above videos and keep an eye out for the next one later today on the Chris Abroad channel, involving my original, first ever Abroad in Japan video (god forbid).

I'll be back later in the week with the trailer for the Journey Across Japan Christmas Special.

Ryotaro and I recently shot an episode across Akita. As usual, not everything went according to plan!

I really like this 12 days of CHRISmas. I thinks it’s a fun way to bring a lot of the podcast topics into videos and to also just make more laid back fun videos that hopefully don’t stress you out too much. While I’m sorry about your holiday plans getting messed up, I appreciate you giving all of us something to look forward to this month.

Chris you may not realise it, but you had a lucky escape as, Bojo's sleep walking us in to lock down whilst he's busy booking Maria Carry for his next "December business meeting". Your content is the only thing stopping the UK from going Mad....that might seem a bit hyperbolic but as I say we've all gone a bit bonkers

Your documentary in the British samurai could still go ahead as Tom Scott is looking for colabs ATM so he could do the bits in Britain 🤷‍♂️

Thanks for all the content! This whole pandemic is a real bummer and I really look forward to your videos to take me out of reality for a bit! <3

what i learned this time: 1. scaring kids into obedience is a-ok in akita 2. akita is home to lots of noisy fucking cars

Rein It In Matt and Rachel - Podcast

When we visited Akita City in 2019 we really enjoyed the massive amounts of late spring flowers at Senshu Park and had a pretty fun night with a VERY boisterous staff at a Yakitori restaurant. Not sure either of those are video worthy, but sharing for anyone else that eventually has an opportunity to travel in those parts eventually. We were only there 1 night, which was a Sunday, but my wife and really enjoyed the over all atmosphere of the city and would happily return.

Chris, next you should build a set of your apartment, if you ever feel like doing a "retro" Abroad video 😏

Really enjoying the 12 days of Chris-mas videos and seeing the new studio space in action. Your creativity and story-telling in films have been entertaining, educational and most of all, memorable. Looking forward to see what you do next. Wishing you and yours a happy and peaceful holiday. I hope you are able to visit your family back in the UK soon.
