EmuDeck WE - Login hot fix build (Patreon)

Hello everyone, we've discovered that several of our Patreons were not being recognised as active on Patreon's API so we are shipping a new build with no login until we can figure out the issues.

Please download the new attached EmuDeck.exe

I can't install to a microsd card. Does it need to be a particular format?

Shouldn’t be a problem, does EmuDeck see the SDcard when you chose the drive you want to install it to?

It does. I select it and it tells me it's not writable.

same thing happened to me. I opened the EXE with admin access and it didn't say that anymore ... however it still installed to the C: drive

Glad you have a thread open. Mine installed to C: after running as admin as well. Looking forward to getting this working. Running it on my Win Max 2 is gonna be awesome.

fixed, I've managed to installed it on an SDCard, just open EmuDeck again so it will download the update and just use the Custom Reset option to install it again on the SD Card. Installing on a SD Card is just really slow though, so give it time. There's no need to give it admin access either ;)

I run EmuDeck and it says it's installed all these emulators but when I check the relevent folders for them, there are setting files but no exe's. I've run it a bunch of times and still it does not download the actual emulators themselves.

The emulators should be on Emulation/tools/launchers/ Keep in mind the idea is that you use EmuDeck as a Non Steam Game entry, so you need to use SteamRomManager to add all the Emulators and games to Steam

now, the emulationstation.exe are broken. Impossible to launch manualy and with steam integration

I try 5 min ago, I convert my iscsi drive ntfs to exfat, and the installation take more time, but download all emulators and all executables are ok.

ok, retry encore with ntfs, it's not the partition system, but I think an bug occur with the drive selection, I can click drive selection icon, choose letter drive, error appair, reclick drive icon, reselect letter drive and after click continue.

Even if I select a different drive, it always installs under C:/

with many potential users of "Emudeck WE" likely to be dual booting surely it should be a priority to respect the selected install location, many people will run separate drives for the romset's so they can be shared between windows and steam OS

Since the emulators have different paths we will need to have two Emulation folders, but you can create a symlink on the SteamOS Emulation folder so the roms folder used is the one on the Windows partition

Try again, sometimes the drive selector fails at first try
