Now, you don't get pretty cursive from a washed up rockstar. You get purple eyeliner on the back of a stolen Save the Date card.

There are some little clues to Space Oddity in this one--special privilege of being patrons! Dess will see you all soon...and I'll be posting a real excerpt in the next few days.

And as a VERY special treat, Heath Miller, who recorded the Space Opera audiobook and who most of you know I am married to, recorded this postcard in the official voice of Dess!

Thank you so much, Heath, for reading this for us! 😍 What a fun treat.

Hurrah for Heath! I somehow imagined a higher-pitched voice. For Dess, not for Heath. Not any more.

Well I did the audiobook for Space Opera so there is a fair amount of Dess already on tape. He goes up and down a bit, but when he is putting on his 'sexy popstar direct address voice' its definitely a little deeper than my natural speaking voice. He fancies himself that he sounds a bit like Micheal Caine, but without the toxic hetrosexuality.
