There she is! Spooky taunting baddie ready to be exorcised with love. Took a bit longer to finish her to work on the Maid Indie gals and sketching adopts, but I like the results!

After working on her for many days, it's ironic that I'm drawing a complete blank regarding what to say. I had a draft on my mind yesterday but went to have dinner and completely forgot all the thoughts I had about it. Annoying!

Looking at some screenshots I took, reminded me I wanted to talk about picking her color palette. I spent a lot of time selecting very subtle color variants in between light purple and light blue, how much white to add, etc. In the end I like the results with a slight blue-ish tint, it feel ghostly and glowy and makes the pink parts pop.

I was also trying to make a stairs brush to save me some time, but ended up taking longer with testing just to realize it looks like ass, and it was better just to draw a simplified version of it mostly manually. All that for somethinh that's barely even noticeable in the background. The wood texture came out nice though.

Making a ghost character means having a bit of glow or transparency at some point, and this is a bit complex when working with only solid colors like I'm doing for this collection. I had worked around this before with some hatching lines, and it often works pretty well, but for a softer effect I decided to use a colored halftone/dot matrix layer, and I think it works pretty well. Might start using it that for some effects in the future!

Anyway, that's one more Baddie towards the 100! at this rate I'll complete the collection in a couple years, hahahahaaaaaa
