That was the very first sentence that Diego ever said to Diana Koray. Omg... I swear to you guys he was so stunned since she stepped into the tavern.Diana joined us to work as a waitress in our tavern (El TiburΓ³n de Agua Dulce) this day as well, so this was the first time they met. So, when she arrived, she introduced herself to all of us, one by one, and Diego was the last one.

β€œ...and who's the young lad” Diana said, approaching to Diego and raising her hand.

β€œUh... β€œ he paused for two seconds β€œDiego…” and then he managed to raise his hand too, slowly, shaking hers.

β€œ ...pretty horns, Diego” she said, with a light smile, still with their hands connected.

β€œI didn't know the Sea had turned into a person” Diego said this abruptly, almost interrupting her, with a lower voice than he was expecting. Just like the words came out without having time to think about what he just said.

β€œOh” Diana paused, eyes wide open, and then a huge smile appeared on her face β€œNo one had ever told me such a beautiful thing before... thank you” she turned away slowly, still with a huge smile on her face, to keep talking once again with her new coworkers.

Now that Diana was a little away from them, Aldain, still surprised, stepped close to Diego who was still looking at her from the distance with a mix of confusion and worship.

β€œWhat a compliment you just said to her, boy” Aldain said, with his usual warm voice, and kind of enjoying whatever was happening there.

Diego stopped for a moment trying to understand what Aldain wanted to say.

β€œI– I just- I didn't–,” Diego now started to realize that he really did compliment her. He turned to face Aldain now β€œI mean, that was not my intention?! It's not what you're thinking, it's just–,” Diego looked back at Diana once again β€œhave you looked at her? She's like... water.”

As he said that, and just like she was listening to their conversation, Diana turned around to catch Diego staring at her. Their eyes met for a couple seconds, and Diana gave him the sweetest smile from the distance.

β€œ...Oh.” Diego felt how his water tattoos were jumping around his body like he had no longer control over them, until they reached his head to crush like it was a cliff. He was blushing very hard. Aldain laughed at them, still with a curious glance.

So bad he had a job to do tonight.
