✨Vox Machina✨ - Illustration process! (Patreon)
Content
I mean, the original poster is PERFECT and I was just EAGER about S2, so I had some fun while studying the composition, coloring and such 💙I think it is super fun and refreshing to share some more stuff about my process. But there's no magical tip! It's always the same:- I usually start with a first rough sketch to see how the piece would like in terms of general composition (I think that's super important and also very tricky), but in this case it was easier since I was following a very similar one as the original poster. - Then I just clean the whole sketch to have my lineart, and I move to colors! - Base colors first and then lighting. I know that this step feels like a huge one, but it just become easier when you get used to it. It's not necessary to have like a super complex lighting all the time, also! Working on studies helps a lot to feel more confident here. I try to work separately on light and shadows, that way is easier for me to fix anything if needed.- After this part, I started cleaning the whole piece and adding some cool effects! Then I adjust contrast and colors a little, and that's it! 💙 It's not like the best of renders, but you know I like to stay on the sketchy side often (I was just having fun, so I could stop when I felt like doing so hehe!)And that's pretty much it! Let me know if you'd like to have more process content! I could also share videos / speedpaints, or tutorials about any concrete topic 💙
