Ooh that’s an awesome looking Astarion! (Evidently I can’t start new paragraphs on mobile.) So my first character is going to be a bronze dragonborn barbarian named Morag. Back when my group did Waterdeep: Dragon Heist in 2020 I played a bronze dragonborn fighter named Balvarax; early access was a few months away, so in reference to it I offhandedly mentioned that Balvarax had family out in Baldur’s Gate. Over time that idea percolated, and I decided that my first character in BG3 would be Balvarax’s second cousin, who wound up being Morag. I’ll probably romance either Karlach or Shadowheart on my first run, depending on who I like more. (New paragraph) On a second run I’m actually going to play Balvarax in a pseudo-sequel to Dragon Heist, though I’m not going to treat it as canon to his character. It’s almost a certainty that Balvarax will romance Halsin.
