V0.93.00 Progress Report (Patreon)

Hi, how are you all today?

Because I’ve started working on my game full-time, I’ll now be giving you guys progress reports from time to time... usually around the middle of update development. This way you can see where the update is at, what it will feature, any potential delays, and so on. It will also work as a mini diary 😤

So after making the decision at the end of March (and releasing the last update), I started working full-time on my game as mentioned above. But before I could do that, I had to contact tax advisors and business advisors and spend about two days going over my plans at start of the April, the reasons for making a company, explaining what I do, etc. So aside from working on the update, I also have to work on establishing the company 😭 and all the other boring stuff.

Let’s get to the meat, shall we?

The goal after switching to full-time was to increase my work rate so each update will now be larger. As of writing this post, I’m sitting at around 250 renders, 30 animations, and 1200+ lines of dialogue... which is already bigger than the last update! And we are only halfway there !

E120H — aside from the small sex scene — isn’t particularly long, so if I push it, it should be done by Friday late evening.

Once I finish this ending, I’ll start working on another ending and some extra content. There are two particular scenes I’ve always wanted to make but something always stopped me… like progressing the main story, etc.

One of them is the Iris x General POV scene. So with V0.93.00 you should finally be able to see exactly what happened there 🙈. There is one other scene but I don't want to spoil things yet :3 You'll have to wait for a sneak peek from it.

All in all, I’m targeting around 10 events and 4–6 sex scenes in the next update, which should make it the biggest one yet 💥💥💥

Aside from that, I mentioned earlier that I’ve been working on a UI redesign for the potential 1.0 version. Thanks to the extra time, I finally sat down with the game’s text box UI and completely reworked it. It now looks much cleaner and covers a lot less of the screen. It’s still very basic without any embellishments (those will come later), but it should give a much better experience while playing... especially since 1/3 of the screen won’t be covered by an annoying dialogue box anymore. On the audio front, with the extra time I was finally able to hunt for good sounds and effects. I’ve mentioned a few times that I was working on an audio update, but I could only partially implement it before. Hopefully by the next update I’ll be able to say the sound in the game has genuinely improved.

In my (very limited) free time I’ve also started doing better proofreading and edits for the first 30 events of the game. Back then my skills were pretty meager and I didn’t have access to the tools I have now. I’m not sure yet if this will make it into V0.93.00 or V0.94.00, but either way, both new players and people replaying the game will have a much nicer experience. Renders will be changed later.

As for the release date… 🕒🕒🕒 The target is April 15th. But depending on how the next ending goes, I might push it to April 18th so you guys get the juiciest update possible... one that’s really worth your support 💘
