Even if someone doesn’t finish a game for review, if the reviewer is telling you, “I’m putting my professional neck on the line and with 40hrs of experience, this game is (or isn’t) worth your time,” that should be enough for you to understand what the review was and what that should mean to you as a consumer. With games that are strong enough for people to get tattoos of them, I guess it’s difficult to validate an opinion on them if you don’t name your firstborn in their honour first. Positive or negative.
