Cobra Kai Question (Patreon)

Hello!

As some of you may know, the new season of Cobra Kai is going on a break and we were wondering what to do during the break. We were thinking of maybe doing something horror themed for October or the 4th Karate Kid movie plus the Jaden Smith one.

Please let us know your thoughts on these possible scenarios or if you have any other idea! Thank you and we appreciate you!

Since there's a Cobra Kai break I'd suggest to watch a horror movie/show until then. I don't have a suggestion right now in my head but that's what I feel like should be done.

My thoughts, skip the 4th movie and watch the Jaden smith one and then move on to something else, I know you guys don’t watch marvel content much but Agatha all along would be some Halloween content lol or let’s decide, put up a poll for other spooky tv shows

The Jaden Smith one is so bad there isint even any karate in it. It was a marketing gimmick to try and promote people to watch a movie that would've flopped without it as souless as it is. It's a Kung Fu movie. It was also just Will Smith throwing his money and weight around to get Jaden star roles in movies not becuase Karate kid was important. Hence his credit on the movie along with his wife as producers. The fourth movie while not a good movie imo could have some more nods to it in this new season of Cobra Kai even if slight so wouldn't be a complete waste watching it. But Cobra Kai has zero connection to the 2010 as it wasn't even about karate.

Maybe watch the upcoming Salems Lot series on HBO MAX next month . I’ve seen the original movie which is a Stephen King novel , and it was scary , creepy.

if for spooky season i recommend some short shows like: The Frog (thriller kdrama), The Mask(thriller kdrama), these are just of the top and what i've seen

There is still The Next Karate Kid which was referenced in Season 6 Part 1 and Daniel will be meeting Jackie Chan canonically so I would at least try and do those eventually.

A would love some horror movies with this same group. Also, it's good from a business standpoint. Horror is a good way to bring more viewers to your platform during October/Halloween. If you do watch Horror please do some stories and tiktoks of Pat and Rana freaking out.

Fall of House of Usher, from the makers of Hill House. Evil Chucky the tv series would be perfect for October Sandman was a big show y’all missed out on. Ghost is a comedy on cbs about a girl who can see spirits in her bnb And like always I will say, separate from this, Buffy should be replaced by Supernatural.

I think you need to do The Next Karate Kid. The movie might suck, but it's Pat Morita's last turn playing Miyagi and reactions to bad movies are sometimes more fun than the good ones.

If you want an amazing but short horror show, I highly recommend Garth Marenghi's Darkplace. It's only a few episodes long, and it's so horrifying that the BBC refused to air it.

I would say watch The Next Karate Kid with Hilary Swank. I always watched this one the most growing up in the 90s and it has Mr miyagi in it, we'll see how it holds up today but it should still be a fun watch

Please do the karate kid with Jaden smith and Jackie chan. I agree with Pat, that movie is the best karate kid movie. There are so many powerful moments, the fighting choreography is way better, and with all due respect to Johnny, Chozen, and Barnes, the villian in this movie is so much cooler in my opinion. You guys have to react to it. I just know you guys are gonna like it, especially Suraj for some reason

Midnight Mass or Shogun! Midnight Mass would be a great spooky series; Shogun was just one of the best shows that aired this year, everyone needs to watch it! I was not really a fan of the Hillary Swank Karate Kid and the Jaden Smith one was even worse. I'd rather see reactions to some better shows; it is fun to watch people laugh at terrible shows/movies, but I'd rather get y'all's takes on quality shows! Just my opinion!

I would love to see Pat and Navi react to "Event Horizon" As others have said, Sandman would be a pretty good tv series to react to for October. It's horror adjacent, if that makes any sense.

I hope Supernatural replaces Buffy however The Normies should probably only react to the seasons where Eric Kripke was the main showrunner. I feel most SPN fans will be okay if they only reacted to the first five seasons of the series.

I refuse to believe you actually think OG karate kids fight choreography is better than the 2010 version. The Daniel Larusso crane kick, iconic as it is, is arguably dumbest thing to come out of these movies.

I've been watching you guys for a few years now and I can GUARANTEE you guys will like the 2010 karate kid with jaden smith. People that hate on it are just a bunch of stubborn Gen X old heads who are DESPERATELY holding on to nostalgia, trying to convince themselves that Mr. Miyagi is the greatest fictional character of all time. 🤦🏼‍♂️ Listen to Pat, he's 100% right, this is THE Karate Kid movie to watch.
