Hello! Some people have been asking what DCAU movies we are watching and what the release order will be. So, here's a list of the movies we will be watching in the order we will be watching them, as of right now. It is subject to change, of course. We will also be posting these movies every other week.

Please leave a comment if you have any other DCAU movie suggestions! :)

1. Justice League: Flashpoint Paradox
2. Justice League: War
3. Son of Batman
4. Justice League: Throne of Atlantis
5. Batman vs. Robin
6. Batman: Bad Blood
7. Justice League vs. Teen Titans
8. Justice League Dark
9. Teen Titans: The Judas Contract
10. Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay
11. The Death of Superman
12. Constantine: City of Demons
13. Reign of the Supermen
14. Batman: Hush
15. Wonder Woman: Bloodlines
16. Justice League Dark: Apokolips War
17. Constantine: House of Mystery
18. Superman: Man of Tomorrow
19. Justice Society: World War II
20. Batman: The Long Halloween
21. Green Lantern: Beware My Power
22. Legion of Super-Heroes
23. Justice League: Warworld
24. Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths

Comments

Matthew Cronin

Perfect, but I would watch Constantine before Justice League Dark. It makes more sense in that order.

Matthew Cronin

You should also watch Justice League Crisis on Two Earths and Justice League Doom. They take place before The Flashpoint Paradox.

Rodney Donahue Davis

Ok... JL:Flashpoint will be the dividing point between Crisis DCU and the New 52. JL: War will be the beginning of New 52, so you guys are starting off good. I just wish you guys could squeeze Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns part 1 & 2... maybe as a standalone Saturday showing? Anyway... great start off!

Katie

IM SO EXCITED!

Katie

YOUR IN FOR A RIDE!

Dominic

This gonna be such a fun ride 😌😌😌

TrixieTurner

Gods and monster should be watched as well, it’s one of the best if not best dc animated movie.

Hobbes

Ugh don’t watch any of those they range from mediocre to terrible Might as well just watch jingling keys for 2 hours repeat 20 times and you’ve watched the DCAMU

Denickart

Got my hopes up when you said DCAU. DCAMU's cool too I guess

Jaden DeLorge

Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders and Batman vs Two Face, both are also good suggestions for DCAU Movies.

Jakari24

Superman: Red Son I’m happy that you guys are doing the DCAU, but you’re missing out BIG TIME by only watching One Superman movie (Admittedly, as a Supes fan, I’m kinda salty lol). The WonderWoman movies are great as well. And please don’t forget the Green Lantern animated series since you were so interested in Kilowog and Razor lol

_ FlusterCluck

I’d recommend green lantern first flight or emerald knights, they don’t have anything to do with the things covered in the dcau but they will give you a much better interpretation of Green lantern than anything in the dcau. Even the most recent Green lantern movie with John Stewart misses the mark.

SpeedyCat19

Blind Wave started these movies almost 4 goddamn years ago and the Normies will catch up to them in like a couple months lmao

Bud Walker

Please watch Superman Red Son. It’s a good movie and not a lot of people talk about it.

GadgetBoy197

This is a good list, but I recommend throwing in some one-off movies that don't connect to the larger stories of the others. 1. Superman vs The Elite 2. Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Parts 1 and 2 3. Justice League: Crisis on two Earths 4. Batman Year One These are just a few of my personal choices, but many are standalone films that are very good and worth your time.

Blake

You guys need to watch crisis on two earths as well it’s the best dc animated movie

Jon Mercano

Green Lantern First Flight and Green Lantern Emerald Knights early on. They’re both their own independent movies. And while they have the same art style, they aren’t connected to each other Maybe Batman Beyond Return of the Joker, though the first couple eps of the show might be a good precursor Perhaps Superman Doomsday And I know there’s so much Batman already, but you can’t go wrong with Year One and The Dark Knight Returns (2 parter)

Narutoanime16

This is a good list and while its not a movie if ya'll want to see more of the Justice League after Young Justice is done the Justice League and Justice League Unlimited shows are great shows the first 7 members of the league then expands. Jon Stewart Green lantern baby!!!

Gysai Durgans

First and foremost, I would love to say congratulations on starting the DCAU movie marathon and for watching these movies in the right chronological order. Please do watch the following movies on your own time frame as well.1. Superman vs The Elite 2. Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Parts 1 and 2 3. Justice League: Crisis on two Earths 4. Batman Year One

@eric.na.goo.yen

1. Watch “Under The Red Hood” again just because. 2. Please add “Green Lantern: Emerald Knights”. It’s easily the best GL animated movie. 3. Please add these two movies as well: “Justice League: Doom” “Justice League: Crisis On Two Earths” Imo the 2 best JL animated movies. Edit* I’d also like to add “Superman/Batman: Apocalypse”

Jay

You definitely have to do The Dark Knight Returns. Gods and Monsters is underrated too.

WhateverIFeelLike

Important note these are DCAMU movies not DCAU movies, big difference. These movies have nothing to do with the DCAU which is a series of interconnected shows and movies. The DCAMU is an entirely separate series of interconnected movies with some occasionally wonky canon

Frankie H

"Justice League: Doom" and "Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths" are must watches, and they came out years before most of the ones on the list, and they take place before Justice League: Flashpoint Paradox.

RF

Most of these are the bad shoe string budget movies that were made around when the New 52 was a thing, which kind of sucks (the animated Wonder Woman movie specially feels like a rejected beta version of the live action one).I would really recommend Superman/Batman: Apocalypse, All Star Superman, Justice League vs the Fetal Five, and Superman vs The Elites.

Husk

Dark Knight Returns and Long Halloween are great standalone adaptations you could watch before these.

CJ Dennis

How come no one ever wants to react to earlier DC Animated films with the exception of under the red hood 😅 😅.

Matthew Poth

Justice league crisis on 2 earths and the animated green lantern movies

Gambit3838

Oh my damn. My favorite reaction channel for life. Lol

kinky28

in no particular order. Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths (the best one), Batman: Gotham Knight, Green Lantern: Emerald Knights, superman red son. JL doom, Superman/Batman: Apocalypse ,All-Star Superman, Batman: Year One, Superman vs. The Elite, Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 1/2, Batman: Assault on Arkham

Matthew Poth

green lantern first flight and emerald knights

Zee
>>156010181

It’s fucking hilarious 😂. Blind Wave are just now reacting to the Pain arc lmao

WhateverIFeelLike
>>156010830

You don’t start the DCAU half way through you have to at least watch Batman and Superman first. That be like watching the Avengers without watching Iron Man

Zee

This is a great list. I would strongly recommend the Dark Knight Returns animated movies, part 1 and 2

Angel A Castro Castillo

These are some of the ones I can think of right now: Adam Strange Showcase, Justice League Crisis on Two Earths, Batman Year One, Green Lantern First Flight, Justice League Doom.

RAV3RXTZ

Excited to see these reactions!

SSJ VEGITO

I hope Spidey is in a lot of these reactions 😂 *Riley voice* Lol I don't like to dick ride, but he really is super funny to me 😅🤣

RAV3RXTZ

Maybe watch the older Green Lantern animated movies before the live action Green Lantern show to really get into the lore. First Flight and Emerald Knights.

Zee
>>156017397

Me too plus he has a bit more DC knowledge to add into what they've learned form YJ

WhateverIFeelLike
>>156013410

Because you basically had the DCAU which was 10 years of interconnected shows and movies, then 7 years of stand alone movies and sequels with no real overall continuity, followed by 12 years of the DCAMU So when people recommend DC Animated content they recommend either the DCAU or the DCAMU because of the bigger overall continuity. However there are channels that have done the earlier stand alone movies and sequels

RAV3RXTZ

I would also love to see Crisis on Two Earths, Gods & Monster, and JL vs Fatal Five (which has Emerald Empress (for you Young Justice crew) and Green Lantern Jessica Cruz!)

Sonicluis

As of right now this list is great. We can add more later but I love this release order. You won’t hear any comments from me

Jul_Belton

Watch the Superman/Batman movies, like Public Enemies and Apocalypse. They predate Flashpoint Paradox and they're excellent. Also, Super Sons, with Jon and Damian.

bob

Stop after Justice League War World 2....and add Justice League Doom, Superman/Batman: Apocalypse, Batman Ninja, & Assault on Arkham

CodePhoenix13

Need to add Batman Superman apocalypse and Batman Superman Public Enemies

Bob
>>156020116

why stop? theres still movies coming out with that continuity

Mzuka

Justice League New Frontier would be a good addition - GREAT adaptation and Gunn said he took some inspo from this comic for the DCU. I have a feeling the Centre will be the first Justice League villain in his DCU.

Mzuka

Superman vs The Elite!

D Smith

Superman Vs. The Elite is based on a comic where Superman took on a team that were essentially fill ins for "The Authority" which they didnt own at the time but were a popular set of heroes. Its very good and one of the better movies at explaining why Superman is who he is. The Authority is the 2nd movie in the new DCU after Superman and coming out in 2026

G0d_Ginrai
>>156012452

Actually ‘The Long Halloween’ isn’t standalone, hence why it’s included in their list of planned reactions. You’re right about The Dark Knight Returns though.

Sou saetern
>>156011536

Right? That's what I was thinking. They're starting with Flashpoint then straight into War? That's a big leap. Crisis on two earth's should definitely be in between them.

G0d_Ginrai

For an Unofficial ‘Trilogy’ of sorts: -Superman/Batman: Public Enemies -Superman/Batman: Apocalypse -Superman: Unbound Although they are standalone as Movies, the comics they are based on had the events of ‘Public Enemies’ lead into the events of ‘Apocalypse’ whilst the backstory of a character introduced during these storylines is covered in the storyline ‘Unbound’ is based on.

JERELL LEWIS

-Batman: The Dark Knight Returns part 1 and 2 -Green Lantern: First Flight -Justice League: Crisis on two earths -Justice League: Doom

Frankie H
>>156011536

Yeah, I'm glad they're doing this but they're missing some real awesome ones.

Logien Franklin

FYI these movies get worse and worse as you go through them, especially the green lantern movie. Y’all should check out the green lantern movies from prior to the DCAMU. The 2000s has some peak DC

Patrick Boyda

Simple one -- Batman & Superman: World's Finest, it's a 3-parter from the Superman animated series that works as its own movie. Also, just the Justice League and JLA animated series, if you wanna see the DNA of where stuff like Young Justice was built from.

Norrin Radd

Just watch Justice League and Justice League Unlimited. That’s the best DC animated content in existence. 👌

Narutoanime16
>>156010830

True true tho they don’t have to watch BTAS like it’s more so Superman TAS that connects to JL since it kinda just ends on that sad ass ending & Superman has more of the connections introducing other JL characters and more crossovers with Batman

Marckelijah L.

I just want to see your reactions to apocalypse war 😭😭

Saifu

Really not sure if y'all should bother with the Tomorrowverse...

dardo

I’m so excited I literally just finished watching them myself!

xemo
>>156022358

Those plans looked to have changed. In recent interviews, Gunn has stated that Supergirl will be the next DCU movie going in to production (with tv shows Peacemaker S2 and possibly Lanterns in between) Vs. The Elite is a pretty dope movie though!

xemo

Also, perhaps before Suicide Squad: Hell to Play, probably watch Batman: Assault on Arkham, which is IMO the superior Suicide Squad animated feature

dannydarko27
>>156023675

If I remember correctly the trade for S/B Apocalypse had a section in the back that taught you how to read Kryptonian

Anthony Montero

You guys should add some non-DCAU movies as well: Batman Gotham Knight Green Lantern First Flight Justice League Crisis on Two Earth's Justice League Doom Batman The Dark Knight Returns Batman Year One Batman Assault on Arkham Superman vs the Elite Superman/Shazam Superman Batman Public Enemies Superman Unbound All Star Superman Green Lantern Emerald Knights Superman Red Sun Justice League God's and Monsters Justice League vs the Fatal Five (Eventually, check out the Green Lantern animated series)

Matthew Edwards

Add the Justice League and Green Lantern series to the schedule. You're gonna need something to replace Harley Quinn/Young Justice soon.

Adam Vialpando
>>156011326

For a second I thought they were going back to continue BTAS and then go through the whole shared universe. I was so disappointed.

Graviton

Superman/Batman: Apocalypse is actually a really good animated film. You should definitely watch that. Not a lot of people react to it.

Macs

No Dark Knight Returns? its not in any continuity but its definitely worth a watch

Rey

Thats soo many movies and such a commitment though

Fede GG

I think it’s a good selection of DC Movies. There is enough variety in terms of animation style and themes. While the Tomorrowverse movies don’t have as much acceptance, I really enjoy the classic animation style they attempt in the aesthetics. The only ones I would add are: 'All Star Superman,' the comic is glorious and the animated adaptation is close enough. 'Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths,' I love stories with the Crime Syndicate of America. 'Superman: Red Son,' another adaptation of an incredible comic.

CJ Dennis
>>156013410

Some channels yes, but the popular reaction channels just decide to go with the DCAMU because that's what people keep recommending, but to me the earlier ones like Wonder Women 2009, Justice League Doom, Superman vs the Elite, and Batman Assault on Arkham are way better. Also, with them being stand alone you would think that would make them even better to react to because you don't have to follow any particular order 😅 😅.

BradBoimler

You need to add Wonder Woman 2009 Superman/Batman: Apocalypse & Superman Man of Tomorrow all must watches

Pedro Hernández

I can't believe they're not on the list Dark Knight Returns 1 and 2😢

Graviton

Another reason to watch superman/batman apocalypse is that’s where the superman cape pull meme comes from😂

jsterj99

Justice League vs Fatal Five, has the same animation style as the Justice League cartoon, also Batman Soul of the Dragon it’s a Bruce Lee movie with Batman,

The Answer

Batman: Superman: Public Enemies

The Normies
>>156052021

These movies are Young Justice replacement and we are replacing Harley Quinn with The Legend of Vox Machina :)

Michael Doyle

Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker is iconic

Tim Chaos

Definitely gotta add The Dark Knight Returns Parts 1 & 2 to the list!!

Matthew Poth

Green lantern Animated Movies and Justice League Crisis on two earths

Daniel Falade

Justice League Doom and All Star Superman
