Solo leveling is so...basic. It's mindless with no actual story. But the bright colors and flashing lights will hold a lot of people's attention. There was already a mass calling for solo when it first came out and it lost in two separate polls so a lot of fans want them to catch up. Since Vinland is finished they can get to that at any time and there should definitely be be another show opening by that time and they can fill that slot with Vinland

Begging yall to vote for Solo Leveling. It times up perfectly with the release of season 2, and people who call it mid can't appreciate the fantastic animation and music that went into it. The story isn't amazing, but it is improved a lot over the manwha, and the voice acting is phenomenal.

There was a public poll on YouTube with 4 options, the top 2 in that poll would then be put in a patreon only poll for members to vote on. Solo Leveling and Vinland Saga got the most votes, so they’re what got put on the Patreon poll. The two options that lost the YouTube poll were Dr. Stone and Spy x Family, arguably better choices, but also much longer at 49 and 38+1 movie respectively. Compared to 12 episodes of Solo Leveling or all 48 episodes of Vinland Saga with a different group since the original group only reacted to S1 It’s unfortunate, but expected as they’re currently doing reactions to FMAB again with a different group

That’s not why it’s on this poll. There was a YouTube poll with 4 shows, the top 2 of which would then be placed on a Patreon only poll for members to vote on the final winner. Vinland Saga and Solo Leveling got more votes than Dr. Stone and Spy x Family on the YouTube poll so they got put on the Patreon poll

The Solo Leveling anime hasn’t even got to the actual story part yet and they’re already making changes to the story. There’s no telling what the story is actually going to look like in the end. However it’s a lot shorter and won’t take a year to get through at 1 episode a week

I'm surprised from some of the comments regarding the first crew that was reacting to Vinland a few years back. I thought everyone besides Pat liked it for the most part, especially Mickey from what I remember. Honestly surprised Pat is reacting to Vinland again and not Mickey. Man after Frieren today I was hoping to see Spy Family😅 But tbh knowing how some of them are, I dont think they're gonna enjoy Vinland Saga. Personally loved the show but there are alot of parts where stuff is going down but important info is being given. So knowing that some of the crew mentioned prefer dub, it might be better to pick Solo. Im here for either or though so it's a win-win😄 Also side note: 86 would be an amazing addition to future list. ESPECIALLY in today's climate.

Take solace that its only 12 episodes, and season 2 next year is 13 episodes. You can go back to the archives and watched the original crew with Nahid react to Vinland Saga season 1.

I preferred sub, but its better for the Normies to react to Dub since they tend to talk to each other and missed the small font on the screen. The thing with Solo Leveling there is a lot of stuff on the screen, like item descriptions for example. Imagine the Normies trying to read what the characters are saying and read items description, and the names of enemies on the screen. It would be a nightmare without trying to pause every few minutes.

I preferred the sub the voice actor for Sun Jin Woo has a really deep menacing voice. But, its better for the Normies to react to the dub especially this anime. The action is fast pace with a lot of textboxes on the screen if you read the manwha and seen the anime you know why.

Honestly, they would have probably had a better time watching the DanDaDan episodes fully dubbed. The "Goodbye" scene completely went over them because as English speakers, they didn't get the nuance of the variations of Goodbye just via subtitles. In the dub, it is conveyed perfectly in the tone of the voice. Normies crew: Watch whatever language you prefer, it's not that big of a deal!

I haven't watched "Solo Leveling" and can't comment on the artwork in that series. However, I've seen "Vinland Saga" and really like the art style in that series. The artists do a good job of putting real detail of the armor, fashion, etc. of the time period it's portraying. Either live action or animation, Vinland Saga is one of the best visual portrayals of Norse society I've seen. The art in the character designs are also really good.

We're not in the 1980's. Anime dubs have been consistently good for decades; regardless if the dubs are in English, Spanish, German, etc.

Both are done by great studios so the animation isn't lacking. Solo Leveling is flashier because its a lot more fight, fight, fight but I prefer Vinlands animation. I just loved their use of animation to for a lot of symbolism and thematic moments.

its beautiful to see the goat Solo Leveling winning by such a wide margin. As someone who read the manwha multiple times this adaption unlike a lot of manwha adaptions is 10/10. I love this story and really enjoy the majority of these characters. With the next season coming up which cranks things to 11 I cannot wait to see absolute peak be animated faithfully and beautifully
