No, Charlie was definitely not speaking mandarin. It sounded like the typical hollywood white guy gibberish sounds. Jimmy yang was speaking mandarin though.

Spoilers: Man named Charlie with low IQ undergoes experimental surgery to become smarter that was also done on a mouse, Algernon. Works for both, but eventually Algernon’s intelligence decreases and he dies. Charlie’s intelligence decreases back to what it was and he decides to move away. His last request is for someone to put flowers on Algernon’s grave

Yeah, Flowers for Algernon seems to have fallen out of pop-culture. I only know it because we read it in middle school. It must have been a public-school staple for a long time, since I feel like from a certain age up, it's very well known.

I guess its my own fault for expecting someone to get the Flowers for Algernon reference just off the title but the fact you guys have a book club gave me some small hope admittedly its a short story but I really loved the original and think this speak is peak Sunny because it involves my favorite Charlie in case it was in doubt

Has nothing to do with this episode but I'm watching "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia" best of stuff and bloopers on youtube. I'm Suraj dolphin laughing at seeing Danny DeVito play Frank Reynolds in the clips. He's a god damn comedy legend in the Frank Reynolds role. Humanity is better for Danny DeVito being in this series. The man is 80 years old and still one of the sharpest comedic minds on our planet.
