Bleach Calaminator

Ichigo’s mother Masaki is a Quincy who was infected by a synthetic/artificial Hollow while his father is a Soul Reaper, which makes him a unique being as ‘Quincy Vizard FullBring Hollowfied Soul Reaper, in that order, One that has never had a true Shikai or Bankai, until now. It’s basically as if your mother passing down a disease disguised as a blessing and you using it to evolve from it. Masaki and Katagiri have phenomenal VA work, despite their tragic fates at least they got to live some time with their children. Anyways R.I.P Quincy Queens. this is Kubo’s Final illustration of both their mothers https://twitter.com/tite_official/status/1607413428481654784?s=61&t=j6xoWVs-5PB8EboHl_lTKw Back when this cour was ending, there was a jump festa Bleach panel when talking to Ichigo’s VA, and Kubo said his philosophy with Bleach is “Less is more” meaning poetry in motion and even makes specific poems at the end of every volume/episode that clearly triggers people wanting everything to be in spoonfed to them, holding their hand like certain others series do, unable to understand or accept the nuance, characterization, complexities, philosophically deep themes in the way that this series presents itself on their own, staying true to itself as a Battle Shonen, people can’t stand having meaning with action, not having to look deeply into it, and prefer just take it at face value, instead, it’s just easier to call it “DBZ with swords”, “style over substance” or “YuYu Hakasho ripoff” it’s time to wake up to the truth of why this series is so compelling. Bleach is a story about the, internal struggle of light and darkness; self acceptance, both your light and dark selves making peace and unity all while being too caught up in the balance for the world, with everything else in-between.

Twiska Brand

Hopefully by the time I finish this the next episode is uploaded.

Castiel_01x

It's very interesting that Masaki said "there's someone that needs me" as she was falling down the hollow hole. It's worth something to think about.

Bleach Calaminator

Bleach TYBW Episode 12 EVERYTHING BUT THE RAIN [JUNE TRUTH] Keyword Page 1: Ishida Family "A family of pure-blooded ("Echt") Quincies, a rare breed among the surviving Quincies. In order to protect the Ishida family's pure bloodline as Quincies, Ryuken's mother, Izumi Ishida, wanted to take in and welcome Masaki, the only surviving member of the Kurosaki family who were also pure-blooded Quincies, Into their family. However, as a result of the battle with White, Masaki's reiatsu was mixed with that of a hollow’s soul, thus the engagement was cut off by Ishida Ryuken, along with their pure bloodline. Later, Ryuken married Katagiri Kanae, a mixed-blooded (“Gemisht”) Quincy who was in the service of the Ishida family as a maid, and had their child, Uryu. 9 years ago on June 17th Kanae lost consciousness during Yhwach's Auswählen ("Holy Selection") and passed 3 months later. Today, the Ishida family consists only of Ryuken and Uryu, and they’re not on the best of terms with each other." Episode 12 Keyword Page 2: Quincy (Annihilator) and Hollows "Due to their strong Reiryoku (Spiritual Power), Quincies were regularly hunted by the Hollows, who fed mainly on reishi (spirit particles).  In order to confront the Hollows, Quincy honed their own powers and developed into a clan specialized in fighting them. Because of their belief in ‘avenging their comrades’, they were concerned with completely destroying and annihilating the Hollows that harmed and fed on their friends and family, rather than purifying and leading them to the Soul Society like the Soul Reapers did. This action ultimately resulted in upsetting the balance creating an imbalance in the amount of Reiatsu between the World of the Living and the Soul Society. The Soul Reapers advised Quincies to leave the eradication of Hollows to them, but they refused to comply. As the actions of Quincies threatened the balance of the worlds, the Soul Reapers were forced to take action and were responsible for their extinction."

Brian

DAMN rana so quick to call someone a bitch

Kail Andrews

#SundayRundown Bleach There’s an important detail you should remember and it’s that since Uryu’s mom was mixblood, that also makes him an impure Quincy, so why was he not affected by the Aushwallen. And to make things even more tragic, early in the manga, after the grand fisher fight, Ichigo confirms that his mother’s soul was devoured, so she was erased from existence and they will never see her again. Another thing, there was a recent comment by Kubo regarding Quincy afterlife, but take it with a grain of salt. He said that Quincy’s do not go to soul society after death, this has sprouted many theories but the comment itself doesn’t make much sense since Uryu’s grandad ended up there, but more information may come in the future to clarify things.

Trevor

Not as a criticism, but you spelled 'exorcised' as exercised.'

Kelven_140

Can we get ep 13 right now pls? :D

Dhais

Auswählen means choose

I

Isshin talking about how Misaki is like the Sun is up their with some of my favourite quotes in Bleach. So beautiful. It still makes me cry lol. Love Chris but, to be honest, I'm fine with not waiting for him. I'm impatient lol, I'd much rather just watch the reactions with whoever is on the couch for that video.

Ahan Shankwalkar

ep 12 and 13 is a two part episode that released together,

Torrin

#sundayrundown So Kubo recently randomly said on his website Klub Outside that Dead Quincies don't go to the Soul Society when they die and he didn't elaborate 😭 But to elaborate on Ryuken's Mother, she was injured by a hollow but unlike Masaki, she was immediately treated but she's considered an "unpure" Quincy now and that's why Ishida's dad Ryuken is an only child.

Patrick

#SundayRundown Just to note, in case anyone is wondering why no captains realized the connection between Ichigo and Isshin during the Soul Society arc, given that both of them have a technique with the same name (Getsuga Tensho), there are a few reasons for this. First, Isshin's version of GT is a close-range slashing attack that uses both fire and reiatsu, whereas Ichigo's is a longer ranged one that only uses reiatsu. Second, captains don't actually have much opportunity to learn each other's named techniques, apart from fighting or training alongside them. And the only captain (During the Soul Society Arc) who knows that Ichigo's technique is called Getsuga Tensho is Byakuya, who would have no reason to know about Isshin's technique.

Brian

AWWWW what a love story. Only a thousand year old man with a high school girl

fuzzy93

As usual awesome reaction, was kinda hoping to get ep 13 as well as it was released lol

Yhwach

hahahaha

MackXi

You guys need to make a poll if you are thinking about waiting for Chris. Love Chris, would love to have him here, but you guys already dropped the eps to 1 a week. Whats next? Once every two weeks?

Trevor

Didn't they say when Orihime's brother was consumed that being eaten will cause you to become a hollow?

Alex M

I won’t lie, im very disappointed that you guys didn’t drop ep 13 at the same time as this episodes. Back when they first released they came out as a two parter at the same time 😕

ispeckz--

Please drop episode 13 unedited on the website for premium members 🙏

Smash Bran'Discootch

LMFAO Yeah because bleach fans have been soooooooo patient and reasonable when it comes to waiting for the drop, right? 😂😂😂

Kail Andrews

only if you are human, it´s explained here that quincys do not turn hollow

Smash Bran'Discootch

Why? Why are you disappointed? They've been consistently dropping a single episode a week. Why would you expect that to change? When did they ever indicate they'd be doing anything different? If you are disappointed, it's because you disappointed yourself.

Brian

sheesh bro calm down with the dick riding. They have dropped reactions when episodes came out as two before with other series, and other reactors have done so as well. You dont get brownie points for kissing ass. You still get charged the same 10 dollars

Alex M

Because they were let known in advance months ago that these episodes should be reacted to at the same time for the same video. I had no issues with them going from reacting to multiple episodes to only one episode a week for TYBW, but a lot of us patreons wanted them to at least drop 12 and 13 together. I feel like i watched half of an episode

ispeckz--

I would say the outrage is because every other reactor released episodes 12-13 together.

Pandrix

I'm not picky about them doing 1 per week I had no complaints for the new format, I even wanted episodes like 6 and 7 to be together which I didn't expect but I was hoping 12 and 13 would at least be together even if it was a small chance. Since it was released as a 2 part finale and other reactors did both together. I think would've worked so well as a 2 part finale is essentially one long episode. So it is still disappointing as we are left on a cliffhanger and not getting the definitive conclusion for cour 1

SilentCilantro

the last lines of the episode are very chilling. Richard Epcar is the GOAT

Jay Mack

It isn’t that deep you guys lol. They can’t please everyone. One of my favorite reactor was supposed to start reacting to bleach after they finished another anime and they still went and reacted to a whole different anime instead lol. I’m not losing my head over it.

A Random Dumbass

Figured it would only be episode 12 this week but still feels weird to take what was essentially a hour long episode and cut it in half.

Alex M

You’re right, it isn’t that deep. Im not saying im going to cancel my membership over this. However, as someone that is paying them a monthly subscription, i have every right to complain when something doesn’t sit right with me.

Potatex

Because the episodes in the anime are also dropped weekly, as expected and then DIDNT?

PacoTaco

Wouldn't have minded waiting on Chris for next week as long as yall did a double drop for the szn finale

Temperistic

I would say make a poll and let people vote in regards to waiting for a member to come back. Personally if it's only 1 person missing I'd rather not wait.

Rickey66

That poem from Old Man Zangetsu was fire. I didn't realize how foreshadowing it was on my first watch.

Christian R Lewis-Batista

Honestly episode 13 should have released with 12, along with every “hour” finale episodes for each cour. Are we forgetting that every last episode of the cour is like half an episode with funny extras at the end. We gonna get a half episode next week for no reason

Brian

the intro literally transitions from ywach to putting a mustache on him lol

Emrys

because they said they would drop weekly because thats how it aired recently, but the finale dropped the last 2parts at once so its logical for them to react to them both as people who watched it live did and the same for dropping reactions here. Use your head

Akimitzu

no double upload today?! episodes 12-13 were an hour special to wrap up this cour i was hoping you guys would release both at the same time as well, both episodes go together as well.....Please upload 13? next week we are going to get half an episode pretty much :( no fair

Rickey66

😅 does it?...I really don't remember this I intro. Still a dope poem tho.

Akimitzu

bro take a chill pill, and the reason we are asking for 13 is because originally episodes 12-13 came out together as "an hour special" both episodes go together...us Premium members should atleast get the uncut on the site.

Masked Void

[Tidbits] - That last bit about Yhwach being responsible for Masaki's death is also important because Ichigo still carries that trauma, he still blamed himself for his mother's death, He couldn't accept himself because he was the cause of his greatest failure, and now he has a true target to point his blade towards. - The special Gigai Urahara used with Isshin was the same kind Urahara used in an attempt to secretly turn Rukia Human.

william palmer

I'll wait till next week and watch 12 and 13

Kenpacho

Yes I will wait

Nabeshin

#SundayRundown #BLEACH Here we have a weird minor bit of censorship. Weird because they play everything like normal but just change the dialogue. Misaki blushes saying she remembers Isshin. In the manga, she's blushing 'cause she was naked in the mind-space they were just in, and goes "Hehehe, you saw my boobies." which makes Isshin embarrassed. So unlike Rukia's "peach", this time they kept in the nudity, but omitted the characters referencing it afterwards. Strange. 😛 Speaking of Rukia, notice the way Isshin holds Misaki at 8:24. I chuckled when I saw that in the manga, as it's clearly a wink and a nod to all the Ichiruki shippers. Remember how Ichigo held Rukia after saving her at the execution ground? I obviously didn't mention this before, but when people say "Rukia is WAY too old for Ichigo! It would never work." I'm like "Hey, his own family set the precedent!" 😆

YungZeus

Should probably watch the OP after watching the next episode and not before.

Kayso

In response to Suraj at the start of the reaction, you probably already realized it but I'll explain just in case. So the title of the episode "June Truth" - Ichigo's birthday is in July (July 15th), not June. "June Truth" has something to do with the anniversary of Masaki's death which is June 17th.

TexasSnyper

I too am in the camp of "wait a week" over missing a couch member. Definitely have an announcement though to avoid the pitchforks and torches, obviously.

Yhwach

Agree with you but episode 13 is not half. That is only episode 40 and maybe season 2 finale

Yhwach

They said no double drops ever

Yhwach

Richard Epcar?

Yhwach

Drop Name. Who? Studio Gek

Meh

#SundayRundown The backstory for Isshin/Misaki may have been my favorite piece of writing in this whole series. One thing that always nagged me and I wish they'd address (anime still might but don't remember it in the manga) is that Toshiro and Rangiku have both been in Ichigo's house and it's at least a reasonable inference that Isshin knows and very deliberately avoided all Soul Reapers. My head cannon is that he was affraid of retroactive punishment from Yamamoto and/or the Shiba clan. Plus who even knows what horrific decisions would be made regarding all of his kids now.

packers989

it would be cool waiting a week for chris if you did a double the next week

Solebat

No, not for this last episode

Herber

This was literally 15 second long the episodes too good I love to see everyone geek out too 😂

Shockzz1234

And this is why all of you shouldn't have said "Noooo, Yhwach doesn't mean he's Ichigo dad literally, he's just the father of all the Quincies!!" after ep 7. Just wait for them to discover it themselves lol.

Shockzz1234

I think Kubo confirmed that Rangiku and Toshiro both know Isshin is Ichigo's dad and knew it when they went to their house. They just didn't go down and see him because...i can't remember if a reason was given, actually lmao, maybe because it'd be awkward and they didn't wanna create drama.

Shockzz1234

Hahaha i was wondering in the leadup to this release if they'd recognise Zangetsu and Yhwach having the same voice when the poem was read. Thankfully they didn't!

Yhwach

Bro delete this. They dont know about Zangestu real identity. Spoiler. Wtf is this

Shockzz1234

That Quincy answer he gave about where they go when they die made me SUPER curious. It could just be he meant nothing by it, but it also seems like he could have plans to elaborate on where they go when they die in the future as well lol.

Shockzz1234

Also, regarding the double drop vs not double drop debacle - i personally don't care, i'm fine with waiting (as long as you actually WATCH the finales together, which idk why you wouldn't, but you never know lol) but i will say, in a few Bleach vids and Sunday Rundowns, you guys (The Normies) DID keep saying stuff like "it MIGHT happen". Obviously this does not mean it WILL happen, but once you open that door, you set expectations (however unlikely they may be) and you also open yourself to "outrage" when the double drop doesn't happen. Again, i am fine with it myself, but maybe in the future it's best to not say anything on if the double drops will happen or not, or just shut the door completely and say "no! It's not happening!" lol.

SilentCilantro

Um... you do know they have already finished watching this cour of tybw right? It's not like they haven't seen the next episodes... they're like 3-4 episodes ahead. Calm your tits.

LJ

Chris regains his pulse after 900 years, his mind after 90 years, his strength after 9 years. And I waited the whole time with no regrets. #SundayRundown #BLEACH The title "Thousand Year Blood War" is in reference to how long the Quincy King was sealed. If the Auswählen began 9 years ago when Ichigo's and Uryu's moms died, then we are currently in the 999th year of this bloody war.

LJ

Also, Ichigo is a sorta love child between Aizen and Kisuke, too. Aizen provided the Hollow while Kisuke provided the Human soul in the custom Gigai. Aside from the Hōgyoku, Ichigo is technically their last and most powerful collaborative project.

Yhwach

Normies. I gpt up today at 11 am because of ur late upload, i decided to stay until 3pm. Ughhhh. Please dont ever post late again as it disturbs our schedules.

Devonte Rodriguez

#Bleach Sunday Rundown Possible solution if Normies decide to skip one week to watch the finale episodes together for the next cores ;React to the Bleach movie s for said skipped week to keep tempers down and subscriber’s happy ! The First Movie is kind of important to the lore and is the only canon one , the others are just for power scaling but way more entertaining than Naruto movies.

Brian

sheesh bro calm down with the dick riding. They have dropped reactions when episodes came out as two before with other series, and other reactors have done so as well. You dont get brownie points for kissing ass. You still get charged the same 10 dollars

Brian

boot licking for clout is crazy

Smash Bran'Discootch

Thank you for proving my point 🤣🤣🤣 Also, liking your own comments is just ADORABLE.

Ken Lang

Hey the good thing is, ep 13 will be here next week! It's still available on Hulu, and isn't going anywhere. That's right. One week away! They're actually watching all of tybw up to cour 3 before cour 4 comes out! Isn't that exciting?

Ken Lang

It was actually released in 2022. They're a few years late. What's one more week? Hey the good thing is, it will be here next week! And even better, they're actually watching all of tybw! That's right, they will be caught up before cour 4 releases! Awesome!

Ken Lang

Bleach #SundayRundown Ya'll done woke up the giant. Now I gotta come back and step in to defend the Normies with these bars. For all the weird boys out there commenting saying "Ep 12 and 13 were released at the same time and you should've double-dropped". SIT DOWN jack! 12/13 came out in 2022. They're 3 years late, what's one more week to wait? You're gonna wait 7 short days. Ya'll need to stop the hate. They're still watching more. They'll finish ALL of thousand year blood war before cour 4. So why complain for? Ya'll getting all hot just because it's not a double drop but whether it is or not, they're not gonna stop. They got the rest of the year and it won't make a damn bit of difference. Have some patience or good riddance. But I say lets just enjoy the ride young ones.! I aint gon tell you again.....#100

Ken Lang

Because we're spoiled.

Ken Lang

Don't stay, just go

Ken Lang

Does it matter? Does it somehow change the reaction? Did you also wait to binge-read the manga chapters because FYI Kubo never did multiple drops for the content in 12 and 13.

Ken Lang

They released together, the content in itself does not go together. Idk where this came from.

Ken Lang

There was a reason. They provided context on their schedule months ago. Good news is, they are continuing tybw every week and they will be caught up before cour 4 releases! That's right! Btw they're actually 3 years late, what's one more week to wait? 7 days more too long? It won't make a damn bit of difference.

Ken Lang

It's not an hour long.

Ken Lang

Released together. Content of each episode doesn't go together. We're done with Isshin and Masaki backstory. The double release was a treat. It didn't need to be.

Ken Lang

That's a criticism.

Ken Lang

I am not reading that.

Trevor

I meant it as an objective, "Hey, here is a typo that I thought you might want to fix," not as a commentary on any trait of the Normies. The built in spell check wouldn't have caught it, and the Normies are very busy.

Akimitzu

Spoiled? We're spending real money.

sky

i swear there is this one dick rider in the comments just stop bro 😭

Yhwach

WHo are u? I am talking to normies. U go

Ken Lang

You paid in full knowledge of the schedule they disclosed ahead of time. You don’t pay to help direct it. Boo hoo

Ken Lang

Then stop riding it!

Shockzz1234

There's no spoiler here bro, they literally said at the end of this reaction they were going straight into the next ep, they've already watched it, relax lol.

Brian

that same dick rider blocked me for calling him out lmfaooo ive never heard of reactor simps until now. like how low can you go

Soulrebel0902

Someone on that haterade, who cares what people like. You’re probably fun to be around at parties hater.

Yhwach

its genetics too. Ichigo has more of his mother's powers

Ken Lang

Wait a minute Brian? You mean to say someone forced you to pay $10 a month not knowing what you signed up for which is the schedule they disclosed ahead of time, as well as the fact that you don't get to help them decide their schedule? I'm sorry you're forced to be a member. The good news is, ep 13 arrives next week! And they're only 2 years late! Wow, and here I thought there would've been a chance they could've never started watching Bleach at all to begin with. What a treat! #MicDrop

Ken Lang

"unable to understand or accept the nuance, characterization, complexities, philosophically deep themes in the way.... Ommggggggg bro! What is this a science literature breakdown of philosphy or poetry class? Text book Andy, I told you I aint reading all this!

Ken Lang

Dudes in here being Karens commenting like it's a customer service desk

Ken Lang

Hey man it's all fun. This comment section has never been this annoying but ya'll are so wild with this complaining lately and these long ass overkill explanations that go nowhere. You're not an expert because you say a lot of big words, write an essay and get philosophical lol I'm just having fun with it. It's really not that deep guys. Bro you don't even know what I know about Bleach because I don't feel the need to write long essays on every little thing each week but if you think you're a Bleach expert cool. You can have that title, I don't give a monkey's nutsack. I'm having fun you guys need to chill. I didn't mean to annoy you damn, just messing with you...mf

Nina

Holy duck stop cock sucking

Nina

Corniest mf on earth holy shit

Phil

Nah have you Nabeshin? That dude is way cornyier

XXI

College. Hahaha lawyer talk but ok. Oh 18? Thats still young, nope 19, oh ok then

XXI

Bleach is goated. Kubo always smoking that good shit

Brian

EXACTLY!!! LMAOO like one year makes ALL the difference? hello?? They still met while she was in high school.

Brian

EXACTLY!!! LMAOO like one year makes ALL the difference? hello?? They still met while she was in high school.

SkyesRain

wow you guys should have waited to do the last 2 episodes with Chris when these last 2 episodes are the big finale of the first season of TYBW honestly really sucks not having Chris for them

L.C.

Lmao he felt that hollow in her uterus indeed

Finnick Radian

Does the dub include the part of Urahara's explanation where he says Quincy don't have any antibody against Hollows, unlike Soul Reapers. So the process he used to help the Visoreds wouldn't work here. Yeahhh I gotta go check.
