#SundayRundown #BleachTYBW IMPORTANT COMMENT The intro for this episode is extremely important to understand a few things about who Yhwach is. This intro with the baby is a non commentary adaptation of the Manga Chapter 565. When Yhwach was born, he was born completely black. He could not hear, speak, see nor could he move. He had no was to survive, but despite this, even as a baby, he was never scared because he knew he would survive. The people he was born to treated him like a prized possession because they realized that when they touched him, they would feel a power grow inside of them. Severed limbs would grow back, people who were afraid would gain courage etc. Ywhach power was the ability to share part of his soul with whomever he wanted. While they gained part of his soul to heal or fix a problem with themselves, that piece of his soul would gain the entirety of their knowledge, strength and talent that person acquired through their life. He would gain all of that knowledge and talent when these people died. His soul would return to him and eventually allow him to hear, see, and speak and gain strength to actually move around. However, the people who touched him did not live long, almost like a curse fell upon them. Despite this, and them knowing it, they continued to touch him and praise him. Yhwach was not born with this name, but the people chanted to him because they believed him to be their god that they believed in before he was born. So he adopted that name for himself. That is what this intro depicts in a beautiful way. His angelic birth t what appears to be a healthy mother, but seeing that he was just a blacked out child that could not move. But then you see the hands, that are wrinkled and tired looking, reach up and bring him to divinity. And then the sinister red threads spread out and are connected to all those who touched him, his soul. Eventually you hear they harmonize and call out to their God, Yhwach, Yhwach, Yhwach. He is then seen growing up, and as a teenager he looks like Tensa Zangetsu, Zangetsu in bankai form that Ichigo fought before Aizen. An even better continued reveal that Zangetsu, even in bankai form is just Ywhach when he was a teenager. I hope you guys read this because it explains how the Sternritter have their powers too. The A-Z lettering scheme is Yhwach etching his soul into them and giving them new powers that a normal Quicny wouldn't normally have ie. Bazz B the "H" Heat shooting flames. It is also why he is the father of the quincy. Because his soul is in all the humans that touched him. He created the quincy race through the sharing of his soul. This is why he was inside Ichigo as Zangetsu because he is apart of them all, no matter how small a percentage a quincy you may be. The girl group are known as the femritters amongst the community. Also in the manga it is heavily implied that Bambietta had sex with that guy before killing him. This is when Bambietta became a fan favorite lol.

#SundayRundown #BLEACH *sigh * I was afraid you'd forget. Even though you read it OUT LOUD! 😂 Wherever you are in the second season right now, you can start watching the opening. It's safe to watch from the beginning, because it's all metaphorical; which means you'll eventually figure out what's going on...AFTER you get the context from the show itself. As for the THIRD opening...yeah, that just straight-up shows every significant plot-point there is, so when you get there, don't look until you get to episode 38. (As in, 38 is when you should start watching it.) 👍🏽 EDIT: I almost forgot this fun fact! The soul passes Kyouraku gives to Ichigo's classmates are a holdover from the pilot chapter of the entire series. The first iteration of "BLEACH", now known in the west as Chapter 0, was very different. One of the ways it differed was that, instead of performing a konsou (tapping a ghosts head with the butt of the sword), soul reapers just gave ghosts a soul ticket so they could get on the soul bus to go to soul society. 😆 So Kyouraku's passes were a fun little reference to the progenitor manga. I recommend eventually reading that. It's a fun bit of history. ...Also, Byakuya got his bankai stolen, Renji did not get his bankai stolen, and RUKIA DOESN'T HAVE A MF'n BANKAI!

Bleach #SundayRundown You guys can watch the opening, there's not really any spoilers other than ones you can infer due to confirmation bias imo. Anyway, I do like that you compared Askin to a JoJo character or Aizen, we all did the same lol. As well as your doubt over what Uryu is doing, after all, he is a quincy. If this war is about survival of quincies vs the soul reapers, he will HAVE to side with the former, and that's what makes it all the more tragic. This cour is entitled "The Separation" for a reason. Speaking of Uryu, it's funny that Chris called him Sasuke, after all, his Japanese voice actor portrays him as well. I imagined he read the script for this adaptation and thought "I already did this shit before" 😂

First Ywhach is capable of seeing into someone’s soul, from what he sees he then makes them drink his blood and carve a letter into their soul, this grants them a schrift based on their personality and who they are. These ones go from A to Z and no one has the same schrift, that is why Uryu is even more special of a case, because it is stated by Ywhach the he shares the letter A. The schrifts are a form of hacks ability, since they can be very simple or very abstract and complex, some of them are so vague that the community is not entirely sure on how they work; so don’t feel bad if you can’t figure them out before we explain them to you. I would suggest you upload episode 26 and 27 together as there's only enough content in there for one episode. Episode 26 had production issues so they had to move the remaining part to episode 27. Ryuken is a pure blooded Quincy. Auswhalen at that time (9 years ago) was targeted at mixed blooded Quincies.

We knew going into this that it was going to be an action-heavy part, easily the most back to back action-packed one of this whole arc in fact, which will be starting in full force next week for the remainder of this whole course, but I think I can speak everyone when we weren’t expecting this much lore + anime additional scenes enhancing the manga by adding context instead of being left ambiguous, even with a dialogue-heavy episode, which makes sense. Love the special effects that are seamlessly blended with the 3D art, and thanks to no censorship, they even kept in Bambi’s implied forplay scene with that poor Quincy guy who was just trying to please her before making that punani go squirt squirt 💦 splitting him in half. She’s the Queency B! Lastly Kaiser Gesang = Emperor’s Song which is about Yhwach and his return leading to the events of this TYBW.

#SundayRundown So unfortunately the anime left out some really important information. There's a missing scene where Jugo, the Sternritter that the others assumed would be the next Emperor, is talking with a subordinate and says the reason Uryu was appointed as Yhwach's successor is because it means all the other Sternritter are watching him closely so there's nothing Uryu can do to betray Yhwach. There's a few other differences but they are so minor they don't really matter. Another interesting thing that I don't believe was picked up, hell most of the Bleach fandom doesn't really read much into it, is that Uryu is described as 'the last surviving Quincy in the world' Which to me almost implies that the Wandenreich aren't actually alive, but rather are souls similar to the Soul Reapers. That also tracks since in the flashback episodes Kisuke mentions there are four types of souls, Soul Reaper, Hollow, Quincy, and Human. From that you can sort of extrapolate that Quincies do not count as humans. Now for some really interesting trivia. The Soul Tickets are from the original Bleach one-shot before the series was picked up for serialization. In it the one-shot that's how souls were sent to the Soul Society instead of the konso. Other things that were different: the hollows retain their human faces which makes killing them feel weird, Rukia, in addition to losing her powers, is shrunk to the size of a carton of cigarettes, and instead of Orihime's brother becoming a hollow its her dad and he ends up killing her, and at the end Orihime ends up stuck in the human world as a ghost because her dad tore up her Soul Ticket.

They pretty much tell who is gonna fight who, but everything else is hidden or not there at all since it's themed to be the soul reapers and quincy fighting in the real world, no powers shown really. It's actually as you watch the show that you start to see what the stuff in the opening actually mean or what are they representing from the actual show. Also it is heavely implied that Bambi actually banged that soldat, in the manga you can see her zipping up her uniform's top as he is being split open. So kinda like a praying mantis, you'll bang her but... die right after most likely.

#SundayRundown Auswahlen; a selection process conducted by Yhwach to absorb the power of any Quincy he deems expendable. Uryu is the only Quincy who was unaffected despite being selected. Ichigo, Uryu's dad, Uryu's grandfather, they didn't escape or "survive" Auswahlen. Just like all these sternritters fighting for Yhwach didn't survive Auswahlen. They simply weren't selected to begin with. Uryu was selected, and in spite of that, he was the only one who survived unscathed. As previously stated, this particular auswahlen affected impure and Gemischt quincies.

Honestly, I think all pure blooded quincys are related to Yhwach and thus distant cousins. I think Ichigo and Uryu are cousins just not second degree. This is like the Uchiha's and Hyuga's from Naruto they all share a similar ancestor.

[Tidbits] - Yhwach is blatantly lying to the Quincy Army, he says that the Shinigami attacked them, but we know that 1000 years ago Yhwach invaded the Soul Society. This aligns with what we were told about Yhwach, that he uses his subordinates as pawns, like any capable warmonger you need to give your army a justified reason to rally behind. (Sidenote: The Auschwallen onl target impure Quincy, Ryuken is pure-blooded) - Many forget how impressive Uryu is. With his Immature powers he was able to easily defeat and nearly kill a Captain, Imagine how strong he'd be using the new Volstanding Technique (Which doesn't sacrifice your power), plus he's getting a Schrift from Yhwach. - The approach to war here seems to mimic what the Germans did in WW2 called a "Blitzkrieg", meaning "Lighting War" this was an aggressive swift offensive using overwhelming force - Many theorize that Shunsui is lying about the percentage of Ichigo not being able to return. This is arguably being done to put Ichigo friends at ease. - The "Schatten Bereich" as Yhwach called it means the "Shadow Realm", that is where they are apparently. (Many viewers confuse it with Hueco Mundo due to the similar appearance) - An interesting aspect that many viewers don't consider is that Most of the 0 Squad are likely very VERY old, meaning in terms of Mentality they'd likely align more with the more Cruel aspects of Soul Society. Since we've met them there has been a sort of standoffish energy, most of the Captains didn't want to go meet them. Now we have Shunsui Questioning the motives of Ichibei/0 Squad

@Nabeshin I don't have a problem with any of that. If something's a spoiler, I'd rather they wait. I just don't think you need to worry about that for op 3. The only character reveal or plot point in the op that a first time watcher will understand is Grimmjow (which they've already been spoiled on). None of the other spoilers will make sense to them until they actually see the relevant episode. I'd argue there are more obvious spoilers for them in op 2 than op 3 tbh.

@penguin299 Not so. OP 2 has everyone doing random things in an urban environment, like in ED 23 of the first series. You only realize that it's referencing events that happen in the episodes after you get the context of those episodes. The only exception is Ishida and Ichigo facing off, which you know is going to happen because this entire arc has already set that up. By contrast, OP 3 directly shows what's going to happen in a non-metaphorical way, including all the matchups, revealing Grimmjow's face - which they haven't seen despite knowing he's coming - and showing Nanao's power, which is completely unexpected. All of which are exactly the type of things they've requested to be warned about.

By obvious spoilers in Op2, what I'm refering to is the end of the OP plainly showing Ichigo's new fit and getsuga jujisho. It's a clear spoiler, albeit not a particularly meaningful one. In op 3. Matchups in anime OPs are always 50/50 on if they actually happen or not. We know they do, but a first time viewer doesn't have that knowledge. Both Nanao's power and Mimihage are things I'd put in the camp of a spoiler but a confusing one. Unless you know what that means, it tells the viewer almost nothing. It's a teaser at most that something might happen but who knows what that actually will be. To someone who's seen the show, we know exactly what's coming and every scene to us looks like pure spoiler. To someone who has no idea what's coming, season 3 throws a lot of curveballs and it just makes the op confusing as hell. The only real spoiler that they will understand is showing Grimmjow's face which again, they know he's in the show, they've been spoiled on that already. I wouldn't call seeing his face a spoiler at that point.

@penguin299 They haven't been "spoiled" on Grimmjow, he was just half-revealed in the show, while keeping his full look hidden. What I'm saying is the reaction would be better if they get his full reveal for the first time in the show rather than in the OP. Same with who's fighting who. It's just like when they skipped the "Naruto" OPs. They didn't know which matchups would actually happen, but they were glad they skipped when they saw the ones that did. As for Nanao, I don't think it's confusing at all. She's holding a glowing sword, ergo that's her zanpakuto; which you've never seen before. Anyway, the things you're saying are part of what I basically said back when they were almost done with the first series. In the same comment that I told them to never skip the credits of TYBW (which they took to heart), I also told them that some say skip the OPs 'cause spoilers, some say don't skip 'cause you won't notice/you'll be confused, but if you DO skip, then here's what. And they decided to skip. And if they decided that for OP1, which is WAY less spoilery than OP3, then they should do the same for OP3.

Yeah whoever tells them when the intro has spoilers can get a little carried away. I think the only thing is Ichigo’s new fit, but I doubt they actually care about it. The worst part about waiting is when they finally react to intros where they held off, they’ll be focused on looking for the spoilers and not the intro itself.

what are u talking about??? No one really dies in Bleach?? Yamamoto, Unohana, Gin (to name a few cause there are others) are dead and were as important as Byakuya. Bleach is one of the few shonen where people actually die when they are confirmed dead in the anime/mangas. If you want to talk about no one really dying in anime, go watch Dragon Ball series and One piece lmao
