Just imagine if they made a 2 season run of a series based on Chirrut and Baze. About the force more as a religion with their order. Get to see a whole new side of the force, can have special cross overs where we could see Luthon randomly show up using these guys for special missions. This leads all the way up to Rogue One again, and then you get to watch Rogue One AGAIN for the first time with new eyes when these characters show up flushed out much further.

Also I think Saw just gave up like that because when Jen came back into his life after so many years and the first thing she says is Fuck the Rebellion that broke him, this girl was raised by him for at least a portion of her life. He was probably at the very least a father figure to her. He ends up cutting her loose for whatever reason, the Daughter of Galen Erso to go become what she is going to become and she comes back and says fuck your whole purpose. He knew he failed her but he saw the emotion on her face when she was watching the Halo of Galen and knew she would carry on until she found her father and he knew he would slow her down, a broken drug addict.

Pat would be an absolutely fantastic Glup Shitto type character running a space car wash, absolutely fleecing the Empire with unneeded upgrade packages to make sure Star Destroyers are properly cleaned.
