#SundayRundown The actor wanted to get off the show because he was a reoccurring character and he was trying to get steady work. I liked Billy and I agree with Surj - you guys were mean to him! 😂 I think Laura does not care about Sharon nearly as much as anyone else does. If the choice was just Sharon and the people, she would give up Sharon everytime. However, it’s the principle of giving in to the terrorists’ demands that makes her say no to the exchange. In that moment seeing Billy’s dead body, she would have taken it back and given them Sharon in a heartbeat. The way Mary McDonnell played that scene was heartbreaking. The group that took people were trash. They killed people and the only people really responsible for the situation were them. The actress who played Sasha was great in this old show called China Beach set in Vietnam during the war. She got a couple of Emmys for that role.

Dee was absolutely using Billy as the safe choice because Lee wasn't interested in anything long term.

The hate for Billy this episode was pretty wild. Dude just found out that he was getting cheated on and somehow he turned into the bad guy? And in regards to whether Dee was leading him on, look at how shocked her and Lee were when they saw Billy in the bar. They were ashamed and knew that they were doing something wrong (Lee even apologised to him). Here are the crimes of Billy, summarised: He committed the shameful act of a very awkward proposal. Then he commented on how Dee let him propose even though she knew that she was going to the bar with Lee behind his back. That's it. 2 and a half seasons and that's the terrible things he did. His death wasn't a redemption, he literally had nothing to be redeemed for.
