Time travel must be real, cause there is no way they packed that much into one hour long episode. I love much this show morally compromises our favourite characters and we can add Roslin rigging the election to the list of dubious decision by our leaders. i completely understand her point of view. She knows that Gaius has been working with the cylons, but can't prove it, which makes it sound like she came up with a fake reason for her own corrupt behaviour. Whether or not I would rig an election if I knew that the winning candidate would be a terrible leader... I don't know because I could never imagine such a scenario in real life. Don't even know who that "hypothetical terrible leader who still somehow got a majority vote" would be... Biggest shock of the episode for me was that, when the Cylons took over New Caprica, somehow Helo wasn't on the planet. Good for him.

God the political parallels of this show now. Every time something in the politcal discourse comes up I feel like that awkwardly looking away/minding my own buisness meme (no idea if it has a name but I'm almost certain you're picturing it XD)
