Bleach Calaminator

If I were you guys, I would mute a decent chunk of the OST background music as that’s the main thing to copyright when it comes to Bleach.

Bleach Calaminator

Kubo 🤝 Pierrot Films = Bleach Cinema Greatness 🙌 This is easily my favorite episode of the part. From the animation to the execution, everything was on point. Just imagine trying to birth a child up to 6 times just for it to be alive for up to 2 years and only after the 7th try you’re able birth a healthy growing child, that definitely partially fueled & contributed to Mayuri’s madness as further reasons are currently yet unknown for now. Nemu=Dream and is literally Mayuri’s artificial child in the same way that Junta and Ururu as the 2 kids always with Kisuke, except much more capable. She’s the lucky number 7 and to him she was ‘perfect’ just for being way beyond the last and rest of them instead of just another experiment, which is why he stopped attaching a number to her name, and ironically thanks to stage 100 cancer (which was ironically allowing her to live) as ‘rapid cell division’ was the only thing allowing Nemu to grow is what also essentially Mayuri gave to Pernida in killing him. Pure scientifically poetic madness. Her last attack “Gikon Jūrinjū” (Heavy Artificial Soul Cannon) and since a small panel was left out regarding Pernida’s end, further context is Mayuri left him in a perpetual state of exploding and regenerating infinitely until there’s nothing left. Compulsively destroying the Compulsory. Bleach with the poetic justice and writing yet again. Lastly, the death album portraits continues https://images.app.goo.gl/BNp2rPoCt63pC5L99 https://images.app.goo.gl/BWZUXWkWe87GhDsG7 https://images.app.goo.gl/Nr7ugLuQGEqSeJa59

Bleach TYBW Episode 36- “Baby, Hold Your Hand [Never Ending My Dream]” Keyword Page 1: Ashisogi Jizō (“Leg-Cutting Guardian”) “The Zanpakutō of Mayuri Kurotsuchi, captain of the 12th Squad Division of the 13 Court Guard Squads. When its Shikai is activated, a baby's face appears at the base of the blade, and the base of the blade changes into three oscillating strands, with the ability to inject paralytic poison that cripples the limbs of the person it cuts. Its Shikai release command is ‘Rip’. Its Bankai is ‘Konjiki Ashisogi Jizō’ (Golden Leg-Cutting Guardian). It transforms into a giant caterpillar-like baby and spreads poisonous mist over a 200 meter radius. It is also capable of crushing its enemies with its huge body. The modified Bankai is the ‘Konjiki Ashisogi Jizō: Matai Fukuin Shōtai’ (‘Leg-Cutting Guardian: Demonic Womb Covering Seal Symptomatic Body’) It is a variant of the original Bankai that has the ability to spawn a new Ashisogi Jizō adapted to fight back against the enemy, based on information sent by Mayuri during battle.” Episode 36 Keyword Page 2: Nemuri Nanago (“Dream/Sleep No. 7”) “The name of Nemu Kurotsuchi in the ‘Nemuri Project’ (‘Dream/Sleep Project’), who serves as the Lieutenant of the 12th Squad division of the 13 Court Guard Squads. The ‘Dream/Sleep Project’ refers to a plan to create brand new souls using the best of the Gigai (‘Artificial body’) and Gikon (‘Artificial Soul’) technologies of Mayuri Kurotsuchi, the captain of the 12th Squad of the 13 Court Guard Squads. As the name suggests, Nemuri is the seventh iteration, and all the experimental bodies prior to the seventh have died due to halting of cell division, the last one lasting until reaching 2 years of age.”

I remember during your reaction last season that Suraj mentioned Szayel after the undead arrancars appeared, I just looked at the imaginary camera in my room like Jim from the office. Been waiting for this episode specifically since, Szayel is another fave of Kubo so it speaks to reason that he'd find a way to bring him back, and what a way too. Mayuri loves Nemu in his own weird, unhealthy way and that order he gave her essentially meant that he doesn't think he could live without her, and you see that fully formed later in the episode. The song you heard throughout that stomach churning scene was 'Here to Stay - you're here to stay' and once again sung by Mrs Number One herself, Hazel Fernandes. I find that the following verse particularly highlights Mayuri's closure with Nemu sacrificing herself; *And if you're falling* *I will pick you up and keep you whole* *You'll never have to worry* *In my heart you're here to stay* So yes, Nemu is dead, she's not coming back. After all, she's number 7 so it stands to reason that number 8 is next. Pernida being killed by her cell division was also hinted during her flashback, number 6 was killed because they eventually self destructed by age 2. So, Pernida dying within minutes after ingesting an adult version is consistent, the science checks out with everything Mayuri said so Kubo had certainly done his homework. It was paradoxical for Mayuri to state that perfection does not exist while he himself, subconsciously sought it out by creating Nemu, he just never realized it, and now that he does, understands that his idea of perfection is creating a soul, a daughter, that continuously evolves. Which is beautiful, in his aforementioned weird and unhealthy way.

#SundayRundown #BLEACH Is it just me, or does Akon have a weird accent in this episode? I know they replaced some of the voice actors this arc, but did they replace his VA this cour? Or did I just not notice the way he talks until now? 😛 Anyway, I LOVE that Sza lives rent-free in Kurotsuchi's head. That was almost as shocking as Nemu's death; and the dialogue between the two of them (i.e. between Kurotsuchi and his subconscious) is some of the best this whole arc! As for Kurotsuchi being helpful because he "cares", just remember the price his "care" usually comes with. 😈 Ultimately, he helps either to further his research, or because he at least cares enough about the Soul Society's existence to warrant keeping people around to protect it; since he can't do that by himself. Speaking of doing things himself, he says here that he has surpassed Urahara by creating an artificial soul that can grow and evolve...but that's because he doesn't know about Ururu and Jinta. The show has never really gone into detail about those 2 kids being artificial souls, but they are Urahara's "projects". So really, unbeknownst to our favorite evil scientist, he's just now catching up to Urahara. 😆

It’s still the same va from the first cour however I don’t know if it’s the same va from the original series as well

Meh

For some context on Nemu a detail you can look at is that we know people born in Soul Society can be centuries old and not change much in that time. That being said we also know that Mayuri didn't join the Gotei 13 until Urahara got him out of jail 100 years ago, and didn't start the Nemuri project until sometime after that. We also learned here that the 5th stage is what enabled him to be promoted to captainso there may have been actually been someone there in interim. We know that at least before Mayuri there was some seperation between standard squad members i.e. how Mayuri was the 3rd seat but never respected (understandably) Hiyori's rank. All that in mind (and since they don't make a mention of Nemu being newly appointed) I think it's safe to estimate it took 25-75 years to create Nemu as she is, but no clue how long it would take to actually duplicate the result now that it's been done.

Kubo showing again why Mayuri is his favorite character lol he's had so many great moments in the series and this one in the final arc I feel really brings his character to completion. Suraj said earlier that humanizing him too much can ruin the fun of his character, and I agree, but in this fight Kubo did a perfect job in making him feel still like Mayuri but showing how much he cares in his own twisted way for Nemu and even his comrades if you think about all the times he helped others in the past, the parallels of him being a father are strangely heartwarming and Szayel manifesting as his emotions and himself representing logic and reason to not let Nemu's death be wasted. Hands down one of the best moments in the final arc.

SUNDAY RUNDOWN Lovely! A lovely reaction this week! Now some notes: - Mayuri told Szyazelapparo (hereby referred to as That Espada) that perfection was the end of a scientist. That it is the pursuit of perfection which matters. Yet here we see Mayuri regard Nemu as the perfect creation. Hence why That Espada came up again in Mayuri's mind when she died. - Pernida personifies Mayuri's ideals about perfection and advancement. Literally being the Arm of Advancement, Pernida would keep evolving, possibly into an actual perfect being. A very fitting enemy for Mayuri to face, and even more fitting that it killed Nemu. - The name of Mayuri's sword is "Ashisogi Jizo" which means "Leg-Cutting Jizo. Jizo is the name of a Buddist deity, one who guards the spirits of dead children. I believe this, as well as the sword being a baby, highlights Mayuri's ideology - that Growth is the goal, not Perfection. - At the very end of the episode, Mayuri thinks about how he has finally surpassed Urahara by creating Nemu. I now ask you the following question: Urahara has those two kids at his shop, Jinta and Ururu. We see they are oddly powerful, and Ururu enters a "kill mode" when hollows are nearby. What do you think they are, and how do you think Mayuri would react if he learned of their existence?

Anderson Lake(The Bleach)

Mayuri didn't fuck Nemu. If your dirty mind got something lewd from it thats your own dirty mind and lack of scientific knowledge by Mayuri's words himself(more or less)

Sunday Rundown I remember when it dropped last year there was a comment that said “I like to imagine Akon was the one who performed the fatherly figure in Nemus childhood kinda like a butler with rich parents. Mayuri then would occasionally pop up to see her progress and finally took the father role from Akon when she was fully developed.”

Shockzz1234

The stuff about Mayuri being "humanised" is interesting, because i think he's both humanised here and also NOT. When Sza appears, he tries to claim that Mayuri, in his own pride, believed he'd already achieved perfection with the current Nemu that he made. He then laughs about how now that Nemu is dead, Mayuri should be happy that she's dead - because it shows that Mayuri in fact did not achieve perfection and can keep going in his Nemu experiments and make a better one. Remember of course, Mayuri's whole speech about perfection he monolouged to Sza about when they fought. IF Mayuri truly viewed Nemu as his daughter, if he were truly humanised, he would have told Sza right there and then to fuck off. That "achieving perfection or not" doesn't matter. That Nemu is his "daughter" and not just a "science experiment". Mayuri instead basically admits that Sza is correct and that he's pissed he had to hear it from him of all people. Then after this, he wins against Pernida by using Nemu as more an experiment than a daughter, he even goads Pernida into eating more of her obviously because it would defeat him, but if he were truly humanised, he would have stopped that from happening. Because who would let a monster God hand eat the remains of their daughter? Someone who doesn't really care about them at a human level, that's who. It shows that on the surface, Mayuri hasn't changed at all. He is still the insane mad scientist he always was. Maybe for a second he thought more of Nemu until Sza reminded him of who he truly is and that she was just a being who Mayuri had thought he'd achieved perfection with. But that's all it was, a fleeting moment. UNTIL - the end scene. With him and Nemu in the tank, he boldly proclaims "WE will show Urahara". Not singular I. Perhaps showing that Mayuri has indeed "grown" a bit and actually DID, in his own twisted way, care about Nemu. He wants Nemu to be a part of his surpassing of Urahara, not just as an experiment, but something more. it's a fucked up kinda love, but he does show some kind of affection for her - whether it's as much as father/daughter or simply just creator/experiment is up to you - but he does have some pride in Nemu and wants both of them show Urahara who is truly superior, it's not just all about himself. So it's like....he's both been humanised and also not? On the surface he's still the insane guy he always has been and will continue being that same guy. But deep down, he does care about Nemu to some extent. He'd still happily blow people up, massacre them, experiment on them etc without a second thought, don't get it twisted, but there are subtle differences to him now vs him before. Hell, he's even the one to suggest putting Zaraki into the healing pod to help him, rather than just letting him die lol. He's still largely a piece of shit, but it's babysteps and i highly doubt he'll ever be "good" lol. A fascinating character really. It makes sense why he's such a popular character, despite being scummy as hell. He's like a better version of Orochimaru and the mad scientist trope imo (sorry, i had to get that last bit in lmao :P).

Bin_Sprouts

Mayuri: "Finally I surpassed you Urahara! I created an artificial soul! Something even you couldn't do!" Meanwhile Urahara...has two of them with Jinta and Ururu LOL. Indeed Suraj, someone would flip his shit and it ain't Urahara. (Though this fact is never mentioned in the manga or as of yet the anime, Kubo answered this question through Klub Outside, saying that both Jinta and Ururu are artificial souls like Nemu, not modified souls like Kon.)

Agnodice

imo, next episode is the best one of the entire anime.

Roosevelt

they killed my wife i'm going to take Mayuri's life

Sashi

#Sunday rundown. Nemuri in Japanese means sleep and since you dream while you sleep, Mayuri is indirectly calling Nemu his dream which is probably the closest thing to affection youll get from him. Also it ties back into the name of the episode. Baby hold your hand 2. Never ending my dream.

Javion Hall

But nemu is older than them both...

Nero Luv

#Sunday Rundown Mayuri’s feeling of triumph will be short lived once he discovers Urahara already beat him to this discovery TWICE with Jinta & Ururu. The way Nemu snapped always reminded me of when Ururu came to Renji’s defense.

Step B.

#SundayRundown - Hopefully this gets included cause Mayuri’s not gonna be around again lol. In the last Mayuri episode you guys were pondering why Mayuri was being held in the Maggot’s Nest and while I don’t believe we know why he’s there we do know that he was apart of a group of scientists wayyyyyy way back and that group was lead by Senjumaru Shutara from Squad Zero. Senjumaru created the “Shihakusho” which are the black robes that all the Shinigami wear which is why she was promoted to Squad Zero in the first place so the theory I believe is that when she was appointed, the group of scientists she was leading all disbanded which eventually led to Mayuri without supervision getting put into the Maggots Nest. It also means that he’s verrrrrrrry very old which explains why he’s so knowledgeable on so many things

Shockzz1234

Pernida's death potrait always kills me lmaooo only Kubo could drip out a hand.

Time differs from soul society and world of the live. So yes she is older but at the same time if they were switched places, the two of them would be at the same age as Nemu.

Marius Reini

#SundayRundown #Bleach Here is where I noticed a pattern of trying to predict who the different captains fight in different arcs and villian groups. So it usually goes as follows, but there are a few exceptions. Villian with creepy digusting powers fights Mayuri Villian who claims to be the strongest of their kind fights Kenpachi Villian with psychological powers fights Byakuya and/or Rukia Villian with a gun fights Shunsui Villian with an elemental powers will most likely fight Toshiro Villian who has an intimidating appearance tends to fight Soi Fon I kind of noticed it but its seems to be Kubo's way of having the main characters ideals and beliefs challenged by a villian that can make them doubt themselves or be fearful.

SilentCilantro

i was reading your post and i would like to add that Nemu does look like she was modeled after a certain someone that Mayuri might hold in high regard... even his bankai has a bit of familiarity to one we've seen

Masked Void

[Tidbits] - The funny part about Mayuri bragging that he created an artificial soul before Urahara is that he’s dead wrong. We’ve seen a character go into that robotic-like crazed state before, all the way back when Grimmjow attacked with his fracciones. There Ururu did something similar to what Nemu does here and that’s because both Ururu and Jinta are artificial souls, which we learn from Kubo in Kluboutside QnA #135. - “Control” and “free will” are major themes here, fitting ones when dealing with “Science” and “Progress” (Even more so when talking about the Left Hand and Nemu who’ve been used, and controlled by others) Mayuri throughout this battle is leaping into the thralls of evolution, but as we see evolution is dangerous and should be approached carefully. Mayuri is clearly a character who is always in control, he prepares several times over, but as mentioned by Nemu he forgets things before coming to this battle, but how do you even prepare for combat with something that embodies evolution? I’d argue the answer is also to evolve (as shown by Nemu and Pernida) and a major point of this battle is to show the slight yet poignant character progression of Mayuri, which is why they make it a point to show that other shinigami are thankful to him. - Mayuri is weird because morally speaking he’s completely insane, his sense of ethics is completely different from ours but in his own crazy way, it’s obvious that he did in fact love Nemu in his own twisted way, so much so that since he’s made her he feels he’s living in a Dream, Nemu was perfect to him and once she died he was made to wake up from this Dream. And at the end when he reclaims her cerebrum we see him re-enter his Dream-like state, deep within the oceans of progress, where he happily sinks. (The idea the he cherished her evolution over his own life is proof of his own pseudo means of being a parent) - We learn here that Mayuri used the fetuses from his artificial soul research to reach the Bankai state, which gives clarity as to why his Bankai takes on the visage of a baby. - The after-credit scene is completely new, we’ve never seen soldiers seemingly possessed by Yhwach’s power. - Sidenote: Mayuri vs Pernida is a cool shonen take on Science vs Divinity - Sidenote 2: The Soul King is supposedly (by Yhwach's words) his "Father" so in theory, Pernida saying he's always been a Quincy may not be wrong.

Castiel_01x

If you're wondering why couldn't Pernida beat cancer his entire gimmick is evolution. You can't beat cancer with evolution as the cancer would also evolve. Pernida needed Mimihagi to keep the cancer in check as Mimihagi represents stagnation. Mimihagi also needed Pernida as the former got stuck being what he was and not evolving which caused Yhwach to eventually overtake him. They both needed each other for their survival. This further adds to question the state of the current world as it was ruled by the Soul King that didn't have any of these concepts. Goes to show why Aizen was so against the idea of being ruled by him.

Christian R Lewis-Batista

#SundayRundown #Bleach So some things that I mentioned before about the soul king, and what Pernida let us know in this episode, but the soul king isn’t some new race, he was a true Quincy, and so of course some of his body parts sided with the Yhwach. Not only that, but you guys wondered why Pernida was even with Yhwach 2 episodes ago and that’s because Ichibei sealed Ywachs eyes with Pernida, but because he did that, Pernida was stuck with Yhwach. Mayuri and you guys questioned why Pernida would use quincy techniques and that’s simply because he is a quincy at the end of the day. He always was a quincy, and it wasn’t Yhwachs influence that brought him to his side. A random thing about this episode, but for some reason this episode completely disregards the third Pernida arm. The manga panel is kinda confusing because it’s a still picture but Nemu kills one pernida arm by blowing through it to save Mayuri. There were two arms left over, but the episode continues with just one arm. In the manga both arms eat Nemus remains and attack mayuri but then eventually explode. So anime bleach has a secret hidden pernida out there that didn’t die. Also Kubo KlubOutside “spoilers” but while Mayuri was bragging about passing Urahara in development of a artificial soul, technically Urahara already made two modified souls that grew up, the two kids that stay in his shop. So mayuri is still two steps behind Urahara and he doesn’t even know it.

Alchemyst321

It won't go to the video for some reason.

Is anyone experiencing the website taking them in circles. It won't go to the actual video for some reason.

This fool basically gave that hand magic cancer?

Daedae

Yes basically 😂😂😂

Tarugga

it would be cool if they read this chapter in the manga, because I rememeber it being differently and I actaully prefer the manga version when it comes to how Mayuri reacts to Nemu's death. Though the anime version is very more in line with Mayuri's character
