It’s kind of funny watching how diplomatic they’re being about certain aspects of the writing and having recently rewatched some of the old office episodes, it really solidied how much better the writing was before. I know some still didn’t like the early ‘will they won’t they’ story but even that wasn’t as labored as this athlead stuff and the comedy really was overall a lot more subdued and unique. Now it really feels like generic sitcom writing that just happens to feature the same office characters. The kevin stuff in this episode is a perfect example. And yeah I’m surprised we were still following andy at this point. Good news is that the finale is really good. Shame these last few were still split into parts. We would have gotten to the finale by now.

The Paper is worth watching. It's not incredible, but it's better than the last two seasons of this show.

It has a better first season than a lot of first seasons of comedies, like say Parks and Rec. It’s a solid show. Not peak Office, but The Office wasn’t at it’s peak in the first season as well.

Yeah, I like it just fine. Bojack season 1 was meh as well, and that quickly became the best show ever.

The Paper starts out incredibly slow but by the 3rd episode i was hooked. Eps 3-10 had some great peak office like moments that had me laughing. Its only 10 eps, so its a quick watch.

Sigh. Disappointed that y'all chose to drag this out. These two-part episodes should've been released together. We'd already have the finale by now.

I don’t know about best show but it is a good example of first season lows. I think the paper benefits from being a spinoff with the original showrunner so they’re already very seasoned with the concept of the show. Most comedies are basically starting from scratch.

If that's not Zangetsu in Dwight's office it's a hell of similar looking sword that was obviously inspired by Zangetsu lol

The paper is worth reacting to especially since it’s only 10 episodes. This show took like three years to get through so I think you can fit in the paper before the next show takes up years again.
