#Sunday Rundown: It's interesting that Bug-eye is the second Devil Fruit user introduced in the story. Compared to the previous enemies, he sets up an interesting challenge to the little captain. Also, Chouchou the dog is a good example that ANIMALS ARE IMPORTANT in One Piece, plus Oda loves drawing animals.

#SundayRundown: To answer Micky’s question he had about how many years have elapsed within the show, currently from the beginning up to present day, the time that has passed in the show has been less than 3 years, however Marketa was also correct in saying that the story of One Piece spans many years because there is a large historical aspect to this show.

The manga will tell you that Buggy’s original name was going to be Boogie but Oda changed his mind after seeing a movie that already had a character named Boogie so he changed it to Buggy just for that reason. We never found out what that movie was, but many fans think it might’ve been “Nightmare Before Christmas,” which is one of Oda’s favorite movies which has the character, Oogie Boogie.

#Sunday Rundown: I don't know if you guys are aware of this but Netflix uses the Special Edition for the first 200 or so episodes of One Piece. These episodes are in "HD", even though the difference is minimal, however they also convert the 4:3 aspect ratio to a 16:9 ratio. The rest of the episodes aren't affected because One Piece officially when to 16:9 by then. This causes an awkward zoom in which crops out the original version of the anime. Crunchyroll has both the original broadcast version as well as the special editions, its up to you whether you would want to switch over. Because none of you have seen the anime, I doubt the difference will be that noticeable, but as someone who has seen it and especially in these episodes where the characters faces are sometimes the entire focus of the shot, it was weird. But again, I don't think the special edition crop out extremely important moments or anything like that so its up to you.

Watching a show from another country than your own is already what makes this experience unique. Interesting you say “be leaders, not followers”. I’m from a country where, during a war, people were forced to speak the invaders’ language and were persecuted for wanting to speak their mother tongue. I would always rather follow a leader who respects other languages than one who insists everyone speak just one.

Don't get why people are so into the dub vs sub debacle. OP's Japanese VAs are absolute legends, no matter how good the dub is. I don't see any problem in them keeping to the sub if they want to, and honestly don't understand how it seems to bother so many people.

I love the sub, dub, and manga. And i prefer dub for my reactions when I'm eating my food and relaxing so I don't have to read the subs and watch the normies facial expressions. But it's just a fact that the One Piece sub translates the manga better. Which is a masterpiece. Also, from a business perspective it makes more sense for them to go sub. They have to think about profits. Lives depend on these reactions doing well. In my opinion, they have more to lose going dub. Financially and quality-wise. Has nothing to do with them being followers. I didn't understand what you meant by that.

I love you guys reaction to the 4 kids One Piece intro, I think 4kids spent all their budget making that rap song. When the song saids "how did that happen, Yohoho he took a bite of Gum gum", I nearly lost it 🤣. Also, that was Zoro's first loss as a pirate and it was against the great captain Buggy 😁. That was a bold prediction Mikey, and only in episode 6. I be disappointed at this point if the One Piece is not an actual treasure.

The one thing 4Kids did well was intros. It is kinda' funny though, how Japanese OP's of that era were all about whimsy and adventure, leaving the kids to learn what the deal was with the story, whereas the Americanized versions all went "Listen up, brats! Here's an itemized list of EVERYTHING this series contains! Make sure to get your parents to buy any associated merch, ya' hear me?!" As for Suraj's question...that he probably forgot he asked (😆), I'd like my fruit ability to be the Hard-Hard fruit. That way, I could say "I'm a hard man! Check out my hard powers! I'M HAAAAARD!" Hard-Hard PUUUUUUUUUUUUUNCH!!! 👊🏾

At the time, he was going through a rough patch and his record company didn’t see much of a future for him. When “We Are!” was being made, he was only asked to record a temporary vocal track, but the producers ended up using that version for the final song. Kitadani has called this opportunity his “rags-to-riches story,” marking a big comeback and breakthrough in his career.

I mean if you can release adventure time with 6 episodes I feel like its do able for one piece lol. I just hope for some of the arcs you do more than 2 episodes is all I am saying. Hopefully the upload schedule is decent. At least have to do 4 episodes a week. Any less and I'll have to unsub and just return every now and then. I can't justify the money for only 2 eps a week. Really enjoying the reactions thoo

I'm so here for this wild ride!! And thank you for watching in sub❤️ I agree with Suraj, the voiceacting for Luffy is phenomenal! And I just want to say that the first 50 or so episodes you get to see the OP world through the eyes of Luffy, the world as he knows it and from then on, as his horizon broadens the world and the lore expands significantly. Im only guessing but im pretty sure the reason the bars on the cage are so spread apart is for us to be able to see luffy. The only realistic cage that could hold him would need so many bars or or bars so thick that it would obscure the character in it.
