Note: We will be stopping DC animated movies after Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths Part 3 because the crew would like a change of pace. In place of it we will be watching live action "bad DC movies." We have not finalized that list yet, but we will let you know when we do! After doing this, we will probably come back to DC animated content, not necessarily movies though. And of course, the is all subject to change.

Blue Beetle, Peacemaker, The Question are from Charleston Comics. A comic book publisher that DC comics brought out in 1986. Captain Atom and Nightshade also comes from that publisher as well. Fun fact those characters were used as the inspiration for the characters in the Watchmen. Peacemaker = The Comedian, Blue Beetle = Nite Owl Captain Atom = Doctor Manhattan Nightshade = Silk Spectre The Question = Rorschach

So in the comics Huntress was originally Helena Wayne the daughter of Catwoman and Batman on Earth 2(a parallel Earth to the main timeline) and she was killed off during the original Crisis on Infinite Earths. Huntress was then rebooted (into the main comic timeline) as Helena Bertinelli an orphan daughter of a Mob boss who fights crime in Gotham.

I mean listen with love I think both DC animated movie universes in the last decade ish have been just awful front to back. Happy some fans enjoyed it but I don’t get it That said if you want bad live action stuff there’s the old Birds of Prey TV/Movie things, there was a Justice League live action show pilot that is awful (good luck finding it though), the Supergirl movie, Jonah Hex, Superman 3&4, there’s some real trash if you dig in

Ignoring the piss poor writing, on just a technical animation level the DCAMU has yet to make a single well animated movie. I don’t put that fully on them you can see the budget shrink every year, and I even admire the asset reuse that’s just smart thinking, but when there’s contemporary movies like Batman vs TMNT that uses moving visuals to enhance its themes it just makes the DCAMU look even more hollow and pathetic than it already is

This will actually be my first time watching this movie, awesome. Crisis On Infinite Earths is one of those famous books I never got to read, but it holds a big influence in DC comics.

#SundayRundown There kind of is a fusion of Batman and Superman who’s a villain. Composite Superman, like if Two Face was one side Supes and one side Bats. The original version actually got a bunch of the same powers as Legion of Super Heroes members, including Superman. His origin is a bit weird.

#SUNDAY RUNDOWN i think Part 1 is my favorite of the three movies it differently shows that flash is really the heart of this universe and really DC like how the X-men or spider-man is the heart of marvel. also that line from the the specter saying that "death is more attractive" if you don't know is The Sandman series is canon to the DC universe and Death is a hot goth chick and they do crossover from time to time mainly with Constantine

How does it feel to meet Helena Wayne Normies!! She was named after the original Huntress (Helena Bertilleni) and in the current Dc All-In comics she traveled from the erased golden-age timeline to save the current JSA and now resides in the main DC universe. I’m still hoping she meets the current Selena Kyle someday.

I'm an old school comics fan who enjoyed the majority of those movies, particularly the New 52 inspired Flashpoint to Apokolips War run. I didn't like the New 52 in the comics, but the movie run based on it was pretty good. The comic book Crisis 12 parter was a classic- good to see an attempt at an animated adaptation. The story is much better than the animation though :-). Tomorrowverse animation across the board wasn't great

Just like in the comic book Crisis Flash is central to everything. Interesting that they used Supergirl as Harbinger instead of adding another new character. I suppose Homeless Guy is standing in for Pariah. In the comics Crisis, Pariah was cursed to travel from doomed world to doomed world warning them about the antimatter wave like a sad Paul Revere. Here he directed Barry's slingshotting back and forth through time and dimensions. This to me was a good way to give us the formation of the Justice League and to tie it back to that end scene from Long Halloween Part 2 :-). Tomorrowverse didn't have the time for world building that we just got in the previous universe- anything they didn't get to by that time had to be crammed into the Crisis three-parter

So when Suraj mentions he wonders what would happen if Batman and Superman fused, there may be a comic of that not sure. But I do know there is one where Batman and Flash fuse. The story is pretty nuts, basically all the batfamily dies except him. He kind of goes nuts killing supers and tries to go back in time by literally chaining Barry to the front of the Batmobile to get to a speed where he can go back in time (literally like Back To the Future style) and because of speed force fuckery they end up fusing. Where both are in there but Batman mainly has control of the body. The suit is super cool highly recommend taking a look.
