Man i thought evil nazi justice league was gonna come through the portal and superman was going to have to help. but nah the cameos were some bands lol

Bob

I felt this season was just meandering. Episode 6 and 7 were great but the rest just felt like a waste of time reiterating something we could get in one episode. Also the whole eagly plot thing should have been the one episode where eagly takes out the task force, the primal thing was such a waste of time.

Yeah this is probably the most over used i have seen james gunn use music in his work this didnt need to be 50mins it could had been 30mins like the others but this season has been fun this final episode is a little lukewarm I like the things they seem to set up and it really shows you how much james loves comics i do hope there isnt a third season and that the next series is Checkmate which peacemaker does play a role in in the comics and it was a thing reference in Smallville TV show On a podcast that james gunn runs he said he base this off of the JLA Salvation Run so i wonder how that looks here but right now im a little burnt out on james gunn and cant wait for the other projects that arent written and directed by him like woman of tomorrow and lanterns

Jamaal Ellison

Man, I got crapped on in the youtube version for telling people Earth X was over with last episode.

Apparently James Gunn contacted Ryan Reynolds about getting Deadpool to show up as a cameo, and it would be make sense storywise because of the possible alternate worlds/dimensions. Plus showing up in another companies IP (Intellectual Property) is so Deadpool. Ryan Reynolds liked the idea but because of all the legal IP laws and contracts/lawyers it would have been a nightmare to get both the companies on board with the idea.

Jamaal Ellison

Sometimes James Gunn puts a little bit too much James Gunn into his works for my tastes. For me, this episode was an example of that. A few really stellar acting scenes, but overall, the season was pretty forgettable.

ShadowStunts

People were way too caught up on cameos. Go watch Marvel if you want that. DC is about the characters in the actual project itself.

Jamaal Ellison

Crazy thing is, he kept the last 3 episodes from reviewers. Whatever the rotten tomato score was for this season. I don't think it would have been as high if they saw the last three episodes They didn't get to see them what was he hiding nothing happened. I've seen some people blaming Marvel Studios for being overexcited for DCU cameos when james got himself teased all the cameos.

Pervy Sage

I love the character driven end to the season. Took a page from Game of Thrones and had the big fight finale on the penultimate then gave us a little epilogue and push for next storyline. My main takeaway from this episode was "Fuck my heart in the ass"

BindingofNack

People can like this finale as much as they want but there was noooo reason to do two live concert segments lmaoo

Sickleweed

Can't wait to see the dance in the YouTube cut! Also, Aww no Nikki for the finale, sad. Appreciate the four of you on the couch ofc but wish she could've made it!

Alexis

Most of this episode should've just been lumped in with the last one

I felt disappointed at 1st but watching it again and seeing that Salvation is the end game and Argus is going to use it however they want, with Lex overwatching in the background is a dangerous thing and something i really like. Everyone has ideas about Flag, like he's a clone and maybe he is but I think after getting his back broken by a meta along with finding out his somewhat girlfriend was gunned down by another Meta while he was unconscious, he started seeing the world a little different. Then finding out what happened to JR along with the events in Superman where it seems the US govt is not gonna be able to control the Justice Gang or Superman and if they want to they will dictate world policies on their own with no oversight, then i can see why Flag would have a change of heart on Metas. He always said his son was better then he ever was and that really turned out to be true. I like the formation of checkmate and they will be the antithesis of Argus. Waller founded CM in the comics to hunt down Metas but i like that Adebayo is not only a founder of CM but maybe she will help Metas from getting deported to Salvation. Maybe in Man of Tomorrow we will get a Checkmate vs Argus confrontation. I think whatever the big mystery is in the lanterns tv show, that it will tie into the Salvation world. Maybe its the new gods or final crisis or even Brainiac.

Sickleweed

THE DANCE WAS SPECTACULAR!!❤️❤️❤️

Zeee

Good episode for a great season. Laughing at the people who wanted a cameo fest.

Bob

2 fucking concerts in the finale who let that happen man

Shihi

So I was a bit confused as to why Gunn added the drama between Ads and her wife, but the ending had it click for me. Adebayo is her wife's last name, if they get divorced it would return to Waller. Thus we could see Ads becoming the new Waller going forward.

#sunday rundown Not what I expected, but a great finale nonetheless. Flag this episode- full villain. Salvation was a surprise. I thought he was looking for a doppelganger of his son. He wants an inescapable secret prison for metahumans. I read the Salvation Run miniseries back in 2007- great read! There Task Force X rounded up the most dangerous costumed criminals and did them like Titties and Mexicali did Chris. Of interest- Lex Luther was sent there in the comic series. Just putting that out there :-). Flag was the biggest arsehole for not just being indifferent to all the agents killed or maimed on his orders, but celebrating his success instead of mourning the fallen. Pony Boy/Barely Legal/KewpieDoll deserved better. RIP you "adorable little f---er."

Bob

dismissing critique is how you build a hate train against the universe like marvel has.

Zeee

They’ve had drama since last season

Zeee

The DCU already has a hate train from multiple sub groups lmao

Zeee

“The writer and director puts too much of his style in his shows” 🥴🥴🥴, this season was great.

Bob

#sundayrundown man for the all the things suraj shat on for marvel they did the exact same thing here (and worse marvel has done arguably) . rushing storylines and events just to setup another project. Feel like if you mindwiped suraj and told him this was a marvel show he would have a lot of different things to say. Its disrespectful to the viewer for shows to pull this bs never having a fucking conclusion on the story or character and if they do its rushed like this episode. Why did we need that band to have so much screentime but chris and holland have theirs cut down.

Zeee

Thank you

Bob

its hate train is not mainstream like it is marvel. Marvel nowadays is almost used to reference something bad

Bob

Gunn told us he wasnt gonna pull marvel shit with this and he did.

Jamaal Ellison

After the third needle drop and second montage with 30 left and nothing happening. I can't take you seriously. Every character ended where they started. Nothing truly changed.

Les

Wait, are you saying you didn’t like episodes 6 and 7? I disagree with people not liking episode 8 but I can at least understand it. But 6 and 7 were amazing!

Anthony Turner

I really don't get why people are crapping on the Fianle, i think it's very consistent with the season. I don't know what ppl were expecting. Action? We got that during the season. Season finale is about closure and setup. We got that. People need to remember, James is building up a Universe, this show is just part of it.

GrayStark

Yeah there are genuine valid complaints about this finale and refusing to hear them and labeling people who try to talk about it as “hateful” is the behavior of a child. Grow the hell up. You are on Reddit way too much
