The Gang meets The Boys | Gen V 2x8 "Trojan" | Normies Group Reaction!

The Normies react to Gen V season 2 episode 8, "Trojan." See Suraj, Rana, Pat and Micky review this episode!! The students of Godolkin University face their most perilous challenge yet. Marie Moreau (Jaz Sinclair) awakens the long-dormant founder Thomas Godolkin (Ethan Slater) after inadvertently healing him — only to discover that his scheme is far more sinister than anyone realized. Godolkin stages a gruesome “survival of the supes” seminar where young heroes are pitted against each other, Marie and her friends — including Cate Dunlap (Maddie Phillips), Sam Riordan (Asa Germann), Jordan Li (London Thor/Derek Luh) and Emma Meyer (Lizze Broadway) — must unite against a threat that manipulates both mind and body. In a climactic showdown, Polarity (Sean Patrick Thomas) disrupts Godolkin’s puppeteering just in time, enabling Marie to turn the tables — delivering a brutal win that leaves the school shaken and its future uncertain. Directed by show-runner Michele Fazekas and produced under the creators Eric Kripke, Evan Goldberg and Craig Rosenberg. Pretty awful season overall tbh

Vought controls everything at this point, that's why they didnt just call an ambulance or take him straight to any hospital. unrelated but apparently in interviews Kripke has been hinting marie WONT be the one to off homelander and if that's the case this whole season was lowkey a waste of time. Annnnnd Jordan was 1000% in the right Marie abandoned her twice with no expectation of seeing each other again, can't just keep doing that to your SO. ONE MORE, Rana is definitely right if they were all gonna fight the whole time then they could all come in the door with cate and marie

I am honestly more upset and angry that Doug died than anything else that occurred in this whole season. Somehow in the brief screen time they gave him they made him my most favorite and beloved character. He was so grateful to be freed of Godolkin’s possession, he appreciated the gangs attempts to relieve his pain even when it failed, and he made Polarity feel 1000% better about Andre and the person he was.

I think my biggest gripe was making Marie a true God-Tier Supe. I generally feel characters of that power level are best used as villains. It’s very rare Superman doesn’t fight with an arm tied behind his back, a bag of Kryptonite on his neck. The best example I remember is his first fight with Doomsday in the last stage. He finally realized that if he didn’t go all out with killing blows, he would die, followed by Lois Lane and absolutely everyone else.

Does anyone else wish that our main characters actual bled or had broken bones, and more than just a trickle from their noses? I’m not talking about ‘Invincible’ levels of violence in live action (gross) but it doesn’t seem like they’re in danger most of the time.

SergeTroy

Kinda sounds like E-corps in Mr. Robot. Wonderfully terrifying corporation out of the dystopian now.

You guys were actually entirely wrong in regards Godolkin’s assessment of Homelander. Obviously Godolkin was nuts after his two person orgy with Sage (huge surprise considering how long he’d been trapped in that pain husk) but that didn’t mean he was wrong in everything. We never saw Homelander hunting out the absolute best supes, and as you yourselves have noted, he rewarded loyalty over ability. WTF was the Deep doing in the Seven? I don’t remember anything about the Nautical Adventures leading to success. One of the earliest episodes sees him letting a dolphin fly through the windshield to get chunkified by a semi. Later he poses on a whale only to realize blubber isn’t concrete. And Black Noir? The current Black Noir (2.0) feels like a legacy placeholder, he either has different abilities or wholly superior abilities.

I wonder what will happen to the university now that the person that it’s named after killed a bunch of students and then died himself?

Love is illogical. Love blinds you. Love ultimately became her weakness when it came to Godolkin, and thus, her downfall. So that's why Sage acknowledged her error, quickly dumped his ass, and released Polarity. Lmao.

Lmao Sage really said, "That may be my man, but I ain't sticking beside him."
