Navi, Rana, Spidey, Mickey, Chris Marketa and Suraj present their review and reaction to season 5 episode 2 of Stranger Things "The Vanishing of..." written, directed and created by The Duffer Brothers In Episode 2, The Wheeler family home is attacked by a demogorgon in an attempt to kidnap Holly Wheeler (Nell Fisher) despite being fought off by Karen (Cara Buono), Eleven (Millie Bobbie Brown) and Nancy (Natalie Dyer). With their parents injured Nancy and Mike (Finn Wolfhard) try to come up with a plan and remember the warnings of Holly's imaginary friend Mr. Whatsit. Meanwhile, Steve (Joe Keery) and Jonathan (Charlie Heaton) patrol the area while Robin (Maya Hawke) and Will (Noah Schnapp) come up with a plan to find Holly and Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower). #SundayRundown When it comes to character deaths. The Duffer Brothers already did an interview and said that they DIDN'T want to be like Game of Thrones. They won't kill a character off just to kill them off or for shock value. They also said they didn't want to be cruel to their characters, and have them go through all of this just to die or have someone they love die, that's why I personally believe almost all the characters are going to be safe, with maybe like one major death and that's it. Because if they were like GOT then they would have just killed Max last season, or Hopper in S3, but instead they just put her in a coma and shipped Hopper off to Russia.

ngl, there is 0 reason Karen should be alive after that. also it kinda annoyed me how they'd suggest it wasn't Vecna when we know for a fact he's the big bad, we know from last season that he is in charge of the demogorgons and all the upside down monsters and so do literally all the characters, unless El just kept that bit of info to herself, which would make 0 sense.

if you watched the stranger things: the first shadow play, then you know its not vecna who is the big bad or this mastermind thats in charge of everything like he thought he was. I don't want to spoil anyone in the comments because i'm pretty sure they will show more in volume 2, But if you want me to explain more I can.

Holly is in elementary school not in middle like the kids were in season 1. Episode 1 starts out 18 months after the finale of season 4. So Holly is technically only 7/8 yrs old. Seeing as in season 4 when Nancy and the gang go to her house in the upside down to get the guns & they aren’t there she makes a comment like “there is a 6 yr old in the house, I know where I hide my guns”. Duffer brothers said they needed to recast Hollys character to make her more prominent because her character has a bigger role. I think they nailed it with the actor they picked, the only thing that has been hard is her voice sounds older than 7/8. But she’s definitely in elementary school. but she’s always had a keen eye for the upside down since season 1 in Holly Jolly episode.
