Peak is here 🙏

For All Mankind on Apple TV. It's made by the same dude that did Battlestar Galactica.

Remains to be one of my favourite pieces of television ever. Perfectly written and amazingly encapsulating what I loved about the show: dark mob violence mixed with (almost slapstick-like) incompetence and comedy. Fun fact about the scene where Tony cracks up laughing when he's waiting on Bobby: that scene was improvised! In order to get more of a reaction out of Tony, Bobby’s actor (Steve Schirripa) walked onto the scene with a dildo stuck on his head, I believe. Sparking a genuine laugh from Gandolfini. The snowfall in the forrest-like area was also not planned for and they improvised/tailored the script to incorporate some of the defining elements of the tone of the episode. Also: would love to hear some theories from you guys as to what you think happened to Valery, lol.

Adam Teague

.....his house looked like shit!

One of the main things I like about this season is the juxtaposition between Meadow's relationship with Noah at the beginning of the season and her relationship with Jackie Jr. in the second half of the season. Both of them end badly, but it's shown quite clearly which one of the boys was worse for Meadow and which relationship was better as well. Though Noah did genuinely like her throughout their relationship, towards the end he turned into a bit of a douchebag with how he broke up with her, pretty much sacrificing his relationship with Meadow for his ambition and the approval of his father. But then comes along Jackie Jr., who blows Noah completely out of the water. He is the type of guy Tony says and thinks Meadow should be with. Italian, not Black; their families are close friends; Meadow and Jackie even grew up together. Jackie from the offset is a complete douche; they make it a point to show us how stupid he is, he has no work ethic or ambition, he's a wannabe gangster to the point it's cringe, he lies and gaslights her all throughout the relationship, serially cheats on her, and is clearly more interested in using her as a status symbol and getting between her legs than actually being in a relationship with her. Tony also got to see through a different perspective, outside looking in, by watching Jackie: how horribly he himself treats Carmela. It's such good writing.

This episode was funnier than most sitcoms!

#SundayRundown I will remember the Pine Barrens in my nineties. It feels like a Coen Brothers film about The Sopranos.

Richard Kors

oz for sureeeeee , a full coach if possible most underrated show of all time

The fan theories and head cannon for what happened to the Russian were great. They just couldn’t accept that Chase intended no answer to be the answer.

Veya

We don't know for sure if the russian took the car. They made it a point to have him be shot in the head. It's not likely that random kids stumbled upon it (i mean it's by a picnic table so people go there), but it's also not likely that someone survives a headshot like that, but he did. It's subtle but there is a supernatural tinge to this episode. The footsteps inconceivably disappeared even though they were following it. There weren't any footsteps or trails of blood leading to the spot where they parked their car. Also this is subtly one of the most thematically cohesive episodes of the show. Everybody is lost in a torrent of rough relationships and circumstances. Meadow's ending scene parallels Tony's. Chris and Paulie's dynamic also went through up and downs this season.

Gwyn

Oh hell yes, the pine Barrens. Hands down one of the best episodes in the series.

Gwyn

#SundayRundown YES TO SPARTACUS! Amazing show that needs a full couch of everyone who hasn't seen it. *IMO You only need to watch the first two seasons. RIP Andy Whitfield

#SundayRundown Since nobody has pointed it out yet, google who the director of this episode was, its a name you guys will know.

Gaius Frakking Baltar

DISCLAIMER: No actual Czechoslovakians were harmed in the making of this episode.

Michael Colorado

#SundayRundown This episode The Pine Barrens this is probably the best episode of the sopranos the part where they get stuck in the truck and almost kill each other over ketchup packets so funny also Tony's side piece was Christophers side piece first she made a brief appearance coming out of the hotel

Bradley Lovehart

if someone didnt say it already, this is an episode i believe Steve Buscemi directed. which is why in ways it has faint similarities to the movie " Fargo ", which he starred in.

Bradley Lovehart

another fun fact, although off screen the reason tony actually laughed was because behind the scenes bobby was dressed the same wy but with a dildo or something attached too

JG

+1 for Deadwood! Tony Soprano, Walter White and Al Swearengen are the holy trinity of GOAT anti-hero characters. Please make it an option on the next poll...🙏

Paulieee91

You're thinking of Fatal Attraction (1987) with the cooking of the Rabbit.

JG

That's not entirely true. Terence Winter said he wrote a scene about Christopher visiting Slava’s office and sees Valery sweeping the floor. The two lock eyes and Chris is about to shit himself, then Valery turns his head and you see a chunk of his skull missing from the gunshot wound. He’s basically a walking vegetable, but you can tell that somewhere in there he still recognizes Chris. He mentioned to Chase how the fans were gonna love this callback, and that was the end of it. Chase ended up scrapping it, saying you can’t write based on what the audience wants. There were supposedly many other scenes from Winter that were scrapped that he ended up using in Boardwalk Empire. I respect Chase and all, but what a mistake he made with some of his creative choices. He even admitted in WiseGuy that if he could do it all over again, he would've listened to his writers more.

#SundayRundown This episode is not only a huge fan favorite, it is listed as a direct inspiration for other shows like Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Mr. Robot, and others. Having 2 characters be stranded in a harsh environment and work off one another seems like a simple concept, but this show inspired a wide variety of bottle episodes just off that premise. Props to Steve Buscemi, that filthy animal, for his great work.

Hank Scorpio

Lmao I've been waiting for this episode since you guys started the show. Funniest episode in the series by far. This episode was also a huge inspiration for the Breaking Bad episode where Walt and Jesse are stuck in the desert and the BCS episode where Mike and Saul are also stuck in the desert. This episode is a huge fan favorite. The "He killed 16 Czechoslovakians, guy was an interior decorator" is one of the most quoted lines from this show.

Adam Vialpando

But they didn't have flattops in Ancient Rome!

Adam Vialpando

You'd be surprised what humans can survive. What happened to the Russian is insane enough to seem impossible but crazier things have happened in real life. A guy getting shot in the head and surviving in the woods long enough to steal a car is highly improbable but realistic enough to happen.

Broc Slow-Kow-Ski

#SundayRundown Would love to see you guys react to Oz. WILD show. also, please check out Twin Peaks one day!

Veya

Yeah that's pretty much what i said. But that's also why i brought up that other people could have taken the car. The show went out of it's way to point out there's a picnic table nearby. We have no idea when the car was taken since we never got a shot of it after they got the russian out of the car. And also again, there are no footprints and no blood trails. It seems like small but crucial things like this are more easily missed during a reaction. It was absolutely meant to be ambiguous, not a definitive "well the russian took it", otherwise you get wrong ideas about where the show is going.

Alexis Cardarella

YES!!! Ya'll should absolutely watch Boardwalk Empire. It's like a Sopranos prequel in a way. Also, a painfully underrated gem: Snowfall. Explores the themes of capitalism and racism in the backdrop of the rise of the crack cocaine epidemic. Plus: Damson Idris (F1) is in it. His performance is the cherry on top of the whole beautiful show.

Prune Tracy

Would love a Spartacus reaction. Not enough reactions to it out there

phunkrsd

Deadwood and/or Boardwalk Empire would be amazing!

Hank Scorpio

Chechen rebels on the other hand.....

Elizabeth C

Boardwalk Empire would be great! I've been wanting a watch of that with a full couch almost as much as True Detective season 1.

Killagoddess

Oz is too dark can yall take it!? Great show

Ryan Bruner

If you're going to haul a carpet around for a reaction, least keep shoes sticking out one side to be obvious.
