Superman 4 erroneously made me believe, when I was a kid, part of Superman's powerset was magically rebuilding human made structures like the Great Wall of China with his heat vision.

#SundayRanadown Fun fact: After Superman 4/Supergirl, Superman returns is directly connected to this donner superman verse. This means thay all these reeves superman movies is all connected to the greater CW Arrowverse Multiverse through the events of Crisis on Infinite Earths Crossover Event. Further proof is the DCEU flash meeting CW flash in crisis and Dceu flash has that CGI Reeves Cameo. That means all the live action superman are connected including Smallville and other Batman movies and even Kevin Conroy's Batman and netflix Lucifer. I guess it also explain the multiverse change from Old DCEU to James Gunn DCU cus The Flash movie destroyed this universe and crisis bought it back via the spectre. Sounds confusing but a few clips on youtube will get you a better understanding of how everything is actually connected.

I mean it kinda is, modern superman doesnt not have these powers, he just mentally nerfs himself too much. And cant get past those blocks unless he gets alot of solar energy which gives him access to every power imaginable. If you look at cw superman, 1 minute in the sun allowed him to split 2 merging unvierses apart.

The fact that Jon Cryer came back to DC as Lex Luthor in the Arrowverse and did a pretty good job Just like with 3, I expected worse from the reputation. This was definitely bad, but I didn’t have a bad time watching it. Catwoman was worse to watch, and all I’ve seen of that movie is the footage from your reaction 😂

The CGI of this film never fails to crack me up. Especially the first Superman/Nuclear fight near the building where they have that one clip of Superman falling lmao. This is, imo, maybe the best "so bad it's good/funny" movie ever. It's kind of a shame because i think the movie has some decent ideas like the Kent farm stuff at the start and the idea of Superman watching Earth potentially become a second Krypton in that it'll destory itself but alas. Anyway to this day i'm convinced they wanted to use proper Superman villains for 3 and 4 but couldn't do them for whatever reason. Superman 3 was supposed to be Brainiac but they used a computer instead that turned Vera into a cyborg thing for a bit, so it's kinda Brainiac but not really. And Superman 4 was supposed to be Bizarro, but they couldn't get him so they had....uhhh...Nuclear Man who was basically Bizarro in every way except name and power source. Those are my theories anyway lmao.

This movie was shot in my home town. My dad was an elevator engineer on the movie. The scene where they steal Supermans hair....I used to work in that very building. The end scene at the UN Headquarters is my local train station, the courtyard is still there.

And then Superman stands there like a dumbass and lets him hurt people for like ten minutes before he even says anything and five more before he actually does something to get Nuclear Man to stop hurting people. Worst of the lot, hands down. And that was before Nuclear Man carried Lacey INTO SPACE and she didn't die. She did however somehow fall in freaking space. SMH.

#SundayRundown You know, for being one of the most iconic superheroes of all time, it seems like it’s hard for directors to get Supermsn right. I’d argue he only has 2 or 3 really good/great movies after 50+ years But yeah this movie was ass, I see why we didn’t get a movie for essentially 30 years after this one with Superman Returns (which I hope you guys have watched since it’s a remake of these movies after Superman 2)

Apparently my mom took me to the theater when this came out, I was barely a toddler. I apparently slept through the whole thing except at one point I woke up, said "Moon!" and then promptly fell back asleep again.
