Here's a bit more trivia about the Darién Gap that was shown in Pluribus, because I think it's really cool. There's been discussions about building a road there for decades but it's never happened because of the financial cost and the environmental destruction it would cause. Another reason a road was never built there was because the Darien Gap was home to a lot of criminal and drug cartel groups. Both the leftwing FARC rebels and the rightwing AUC group hid out there several decades ago. Actually the FARC might still be there. So in addition to the dangerous plants and animals there, there are also armed humans there as well. So a road there probably won't happen in the near future, if ever. The good thing about the Darien gap is that it acts as a natural environmental barrier between the Americas and prevents a lot of dangerous diseases and insects from crossing between North and South America.

John Constantine shows up for a bit in the Sandman comics. The Netflix adaptation incorporated Constantine, however, there would have been restrictions with John so they opted to basically gender flip him and go with Johanna Constantine. In this adaptation, they opted to go with the original comic book pronunciation that Alan Moore intended which confused a lot of people. ConstanTYNE is a pronunciation more popular in England. There are actually people who have that as their last name with the TYNE pronunciation. But in America, ConstanTEEN is vastly more popular so that was used instead for the Reeves, Ryan, and DC animated adaptations. Sandman also ties into Lucifer, however, it’s a take that opts to hew closer to the original version instead of the Tom Ellis version. Ellis’s Lucifer would be too hard to work in. And like Constantine, Lucifer is also gender bent. It’s Gwendoline Christie (Brienne of Tarth).
