Brooklyn Nine-Nine - 1x16 The Party - Group Reaction

Chris, Marketa, Pat, Navi, Suraj and Rana present their review of Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 1 Episode 16 "The Party," created by Michael Schur and Dan Goor. In Episode 16, the detectives at the Nine-Nine are invited to the Captain's (Andre Braugher) birthday party at his home. Peralta (Andy Samberg) uses it as an opportunity to become best friends with his husband Kevin (Marc Evan Jackson), Boyle (Joe Lo Truglio) meets a famous food blogger Vivian (Marilu Henner) and Santiago (Melissa Fumero) tries to find ways to bond with the captain. However, when the detectives cross a line, Peralta investigates the real reason the captain's house has a no cop-talk policy. #SundayRundown Another terrific episode. Show is absolutely cooking. I remember there being some speculation online about who could or should be Captain Holt's significant other. One of the choices I remember most was Kyle Secor. He played Andre Braugher's partner for six years on Homicide: Life on the Street. I think it could've been wonderful but Michael Schur show vet Marc Evan Jackson does a great job.

Every week I forget about Rana's face on that table and every week it's fantastic haha

#SundayRundown This episode was the major turning point for me. This is the moment it went from a fun show to one of my favorite comedies. Introduces Kevin, and you get to see more of everyone’s individual traits shine continually. There are so many great memorable character dynamics and interactions. And importantly, Boyle’s got a new romantic interest and just doesn't crush/obsess over Rosa. About Scully. Joel McKinnon Miller did learn Opera as a child and went to college for theater and Opera, but then shifted into acting. He wasn’t in The Wire but he sure was in plenty of things over the years. I knew him as one of the supporting cast in Big Love. You probably remembered him from Rush Hour 2. He was the Texan that was in the casino. He was also in stuff like The Truman Show and Men in Black 2.
