Hope the YouTube community lived it up. They really got lucky this weekend😂🤣 So the attire that traditional collegiate wrestlers wear is called a singlet. That’s what RVD (Rob Van Dam) was wearing. He was always a fan favorite because he’d incorporate martial arts & highflying into his matches as well as being a known pothead where he would give little hints during promos & stuff. He’s 55 now & the last match he had was in April. Shawn Michaels had his last match in March ‘98, back surgery in Jan ‘99 & this was his 2nd match back. Him & HHH were best friends until he turned on Shawn his 1st day back (5 months prior), which led to this feud. A big reason why HHH stayed in this match until the end was because of the storyline that had been built previously. Despite his trachea/windpipe injury, the story of this match was to have HHH & HBK as the final 2 competitors. Rana, you hadn’t seen Chris Jericho prior, but I guess he does resemble a few people & Navi, he’s always wrestled with that name. The horn you heard at 27:12 was just random fans that would bring things in just being silly almost like a heckler at a comedy show. BeachballGate was a time. IYKYK Oh yeah… Kane (Glen Jacobs) is the Mayor of Knox County Tennessee & a huge Trump supporter🙄😒 Durng Covid he was against the mask mandate, which made the entire IWC (Internet Wrestling Community) laugh because he was the wrestler… that wore a mask. Gotta love the irony🤣😂😷

Man, we used to have custom stage entrances for PPV, live music and tons of pyro. Take me back to the early 2000's and late 90's. BTW Kane went on become mayor of Tennessee. And Booker T aka King Booker went on to be an announcer for NXT. Shawn Michaels suffered a severe back injury during a match against The Undertaker at the 1998 Royal Rumble. The injury was a herniated disc, which caused him significant pain and limited mobility.

So the Randy bit at the beginning is from his first year in WWE, he got hurt as a guy who was getting some cheers. People backstage knew he could be a real smarmy prick and had him give an update on his injury going up by .5-1 percent for months and being cringey and arrogant that people wanted an update every second about him. This would lead to his first time being a heel.

The whole early 90's to early 2000's eras were the Goats. The kane/undertaker era when they both first came out when i was a kid stone cold era etc etc when i was growing up was undoubtedly the best eras and literally fucking insane / literal fucking insanity some of the shit that happened lol

The beauty of watching wrestling for the first time. Went from watching a Rumble and not knowing Orton, to watching an Orton match and liking HBK, to watching an HBK match (kinda) to wanting more of RVD. Wrestling cascades like that where you always find new wrestlers you're interested in! Also shoutout to Hooker T. What a wrestler.

Yep HHH could have died in this match. But what's really weird, is in the video of the wrestlers checking out the ring structure the day of or before the match. Booker T actually predicted it, He said, " Somebody's gonna get hurt" and he wasn't joking. Who was he standing next to when he said that? Yep, HHH. Looking at Booker with concern on both there faces.
