It's not so complicated, all Janice is saying is she spent a lot of money on Outback Steak takeout (including $30 worth of side dishes) and it's wasted money if he's going to be depressed and not enjoy dinner.

#SundayRundown I thought a teenager making little kids do a seance was a fucked up. That could cause long-term trauma. But then Janice went and upstaged the fuckery. Is Janice worse than Livia? I'd rather have that shit blunt and to my face than hidden behind a smile and phony politeness. Come to think of it, I'll pass on both evils. Fuck Janice and Livia.

This is Janice at her most evil best! Absolute manipulation masterclass! You hate her with every fibre of your being...but you have to give it to her...she played Bobby and his kids like a fucking master! She knew his kids were his weak spot and the only thing he loved more than this wife! Evil Genius from the Livia school of manipulation.

The Exorcist is not scary if you're not a Christian who believes in demonic possession. And while I can respect the ground laid, the tropes, and the birth of mob movies and The Sopranos, The Godfather doesn't hold up as well as The Sopranos and Goodfellas.

Yeah also I've always had a sneaking suspicion that Janice knew it was the anniversary and used it as a way to farther push his wife out the picture why else spend so much on a regular day

#SundayRundown It's been a long time since I first saw The Exorcist. I was younger but not a kid at the time, I still found it scary. I'd say there's a good chance you might not find it scary Suraj. A lot of people do though, first time or otherwise. I believe it absolutely holds up & is still one of the greatest horror films of all-time. A lot of that is because of director William Friedkin. Between 1970-1977 he had a case for the best filmmaker on the planet. There's so much craft & effort poured into The Exorcist, which has helped it still feel relevant for over 50 years.

#SundayRundown, wow can we hear more about the group therapy and the anonymous jar entries😄 nothing personal has to be said, it probably was just attendance issues right?

#SundayRundown The dream sequences on The Sopranos are among the best ever in television. I'd only consider Buffy 4X22 "Restless" to be better since it perfectly captures the feeling of dreams for an entire episode. There's been a lot of analysis of both dreams. The second one is definitely the more terrifying of the two. Many people feel the house represents hell. Tony is walking behind Ralphie whose headed their himself. Tony is at the door (gateway) when he sees the figure in the shadow that could be a manifestation of Livia, the black nothing she always talked about, every toxic relationship he's had or all of the above. YMMV I find all the stuff super interesting & could be worth your time to pour over once the series wraps.

the dreams in the sopranos aren't the fanciest but they're among the most realistic. no frills, just shifts between settings with interactions that can pass as mostly normal until a thing or two feels off. even the buffy dream episode had some elements that still feels a bit heightened with some poetic dialogue and imagery. most of the sopranos dream dialogue are alarmingly normal and plain, with just some shifts in the context.

with the therapy, there are different vectors of change that can happen. the initial idea for the show (which is supposed to be a film) was tony just getting over his mother issues, and him quitting the mob or not wasn't really a factor. then as the show continues, it starts to factor in more dimensions of change. it's all moot of course, if tony himself doesn't even bother to try. one more small note on the dreams: ralphie's recent change could pointing to the way he was mostly behaving when his son was in the hospital. he showed more empathy and remorse (even if he's still in the mob) and tony cut his life short so it never gets explored. and now he quits therapy in this very episode.

FFS y'all can watch the Godfather without taking a break from the Sopranos. It's literally the only thing to watch on this channel since all y’all react to now is Horror Films/shows, WWE and Anime. How about y'all watch 1 episode of Battlestar Galactica a week instead of 2. How about satisfying the people who are more into the real, smart, interesting, raw type of TV for a change. Watch Boardwalk Empire, Mad Men, Industry, things like that. Seems like y'all are only catering to a certain niche these days. Enough of the genres you already cover extensively, get back to having more variety in your content please. Okay, just needed to get that off my chest, have a good day 😊.

damn bro

Brody Perry

As someone who’s currently watching Boardwalk Empire for the first time, I highly second that opinion. Great show

Wes

Prime Janice Soprano was putting on manipulation masterclasses in the early 2000s!

Saying the conjuring is "good" but The Exorcist doesn't hold up....wow. Worst take ever.

The Normies
