The Gang Carries a Corpse Up a Mountain | It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia 15x8 | Group Reaction

Suraj, Navi, Pat, and Rana present their review for It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia | Season 15, Episode 8 (The Gang Carries a Corpse Up a Mountain) Stayed tuned after the discussion for Season 9 Bloopers!! Writer: Megan Ganz Director: Richie Keen - Spoiler Alert - This season finale picks up immediately after the Ireland storyline turns tragic: Charlie Kelly’s biological father, Shelley Kelly, dies suddenly, and Charlie insists on honoring an old Kelly family tradition by carrying Shelley’s body up a mountain and throwing him into the sea. The Gang reluctantly agrees, but the hike quickly falls apart as everyone complains, argues, and abandons the task one by one. Along the way, Charlie blames Dee Reynolds for frightening Shelley before his death, while Frank Reynolds and Dennis Reynolds accidentally reveal they were unvaccinated and likely passed along the illness that killed him. The corpse repeatedly slips, rolls downhill, and turns the whole climb into one long disaster. Mac storms off after learning the others paid his mother to lie about his heritage, Dennis quits after realizing the trip is miserable, and Frank becomes useless after Charlie discovers he filled his canteen with urine. Eventually Charlie is left alone in the rain, dragging his father’s body uphill by himself. Charlie finally breaks down beside Shelley’s body and delivers a raw monologue about abandonment, grief, and all the years his father was absent from his life. Just when he reaches his breaking point, the rest of the Gang unexpectedly returns in a truck to help him finish the burial ritual. They throw the body from the cliff. Charlie Day as Charlie Kelly Glenn Howerton as Dennis Reynolds Rob McElhenney as Mac (Ronald McDonald) Kaitlin Olson as Deandra “Dee” Reynolds Danny DeVito as Frank Reynolds Colm Meaney as Shelley Kelly Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Sunny season 15, The Gang's Still in Ireland, Charlie Kelly father reveal, Shelley Kelly, Dennis castle episode, Dee Ireland, Mac seminary, Irish comedy episode, Paddy's Pub, sitcom recap, FXX comedy, Charlie Day episode, Megan Ganz, Sunny Ireland arc #ItsAlwaysSunny #ItsAlwaysSunnyInPhiladelphia #SunnySeason15 #TheGangsStillInIreland #CharlieKelly #DennisReynolds #Mac #SweetDee #FrankReynolds #PaddysPub BECOME A MEMBER: Get 6 WEEKS AHEAD on all shows, exclusive movies and vote on what we watch: https://www.thenormies.com/ Commenter Badges/Perks: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCbv2OBLeYiYe7B6WgPDnLow/join MERCH: the-normies-shop.fourthwall.com SEND US LETTERS/GIFTS: PO Box 785 Fishers, IN 46038 FOLLOW US ON SOCIAL MEDIA: linktr.ee/the_normies

Love when the gang shows their acting chops, Charlie was great on the top of the mountain.

#SundayRundown When you guys said Sunny would never get as emotional as they did for "Mac Finds His Pride," we were resisting the urge to mention this episode. Anybody who had an absent dad was emotionally obliterated (me). You heard those improv songs, Charlie is the most talented person on screen.

Frank wasn't driving because the steering wheel would've been on the other side. Remember how Dee was hit by a car when they first arrived because she looked the wrong direction before crossing? Even though it's an American truck brand, it still would be built in accordance with the laws of the country where it's sold.
