Chris, one thing to remember is that Homelander is the first Supe to have standard V put in place when he was still a fetus, and now has V1 injected as well. There is no reason to believe the old rules apply to him; he may be immune to Soldier Boy’s blast. He was already the strongest Supe in the world, and based on that final scene, V1 just made him even more powerful.

Predictably, the world’s smartest supe, who has done nothing but create dumb plans, has created a plan that ended up with Homelander becoming immortal. Cue the Fry “I’m shocked!
