One of my favourite films of the last few years. It’s such a fun film. I'll admit it took me quite a while to warm up to him, but Gosling has been knocking out of the park for a good while now. Congratulations also for watching this movie and not ending up in a brain melting conversation about Relativity, because that's always where I end up since this film does a good job of covering it. Due to the speeds involved travelling there and back, much less time passed for Grace (and Grace's probes) than it did for people on Earth, and that's why Stratt is in arctic conditions at the end (because for her it's likely been about 20+ years)

Oh wow, double drop with two movies I haven't seen yet. Thank you! Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend, Normies!

Guys pleeeease react to the 2025 Frankenstein on Netflix!!

Stephanie

I've seen so many reactions to this movie by now and not many see how messed up it is to force Grace to do the mission. What people don't seem to realise is that if Grace hadn't met Rocky, the mission would have failed. Grace would have died for nothing and since he was basically forced to die in space, it would have been murder. So what Stratt did was really f*cked up and not something you could have easily forgiven. At least in my opinion.

So soon! I just purchased the book a few days ago and was about to start on it, didn't realize the movie was already available for stream! Ok, to Rana and anyone else who has read the book: should I read the book first or watch the movie first? I'm worried reading the book would negatively impact my viewing experience...in other words, without spoilers, does the movie live up to the book (in its own way)?

Rana almost spoils the movie 15x in the reaction. Y’all need to ban her from reacting to things she’s read/seen before.. 😂

Is Suraj going to notice Miles from Lost? Oh yeah he got it right away. I should never have doubted him. But I don't think you guys noticed the Russian astronaut was the AT&T girl. You guys mentioned you were skeptical about governments successfully rationing food, but that has happened in real life. Governments rationed food during world war II. Both Axis and Allied governments did it, including America and the UK. The US government had things called "ration cards" which determined what food you could buy and when. That being said, this would be rationing on a whole new level. I think it would work, until year 30 where things would start to get real desperate. So I think it would work for a while at least.

#SundayRundown First off, I will fight Suraj as Gosling’s number one fan 😂 Project Hail Mary is the best Andy Weir book. I still like The Martian better as movie, but both are amazing adaptions. I highly recommend the audio book of Project Hail Mary. The narrator should have won awards for doing all the accents, including Rocky.

Sean Carleton

I did the Rick Dalton meme in the theatre. My fellow Lost super fan friend was with me.

Sean Carleton

Probably why she doesn’t want to sit on the couch for The Sopranos.

Frankie H

I love that meme!

ShantalHaitianPrincess

omg you guys should watch Neil deGrasse Tyson Confronts Andy Weir on the Science of Project Hail Mary its a great interview

Katra

Here's to hope you guys will react to my favorite Ryan Gosling movie "Drive" someday.

Darcey

I can't tell, did Rana read the book?

Darcey

I gave up on the reaction midway through. She was so obnoxious. IN THE BOOK THEY...yes, Rana. You read a book. Congrats.

Lily Vally

so glad someone had read the book beforehand, loved this reaction so much!

Lily Vally

tricky question, Ido 100% think the movie lives up to the book and does a great job, but I do think reading the book beforehand could make the movie slightly less enjoyable than going in blind since you’ll be spending the movie waiting for the big plot moments. But I don’t really think it matters since both the movie and book are literal 100/10s and are enjoyable no matter what.

Ok decided to watch the movie first last night and read the book after if I love the movie. I absolutely love the movie. Watched it and then went back to watch your reactions to it. By the time I was done it was already 5 am. Would've watched your uncut reactions too if my eyeballs weren't screaming from exhaust already. Like The Martian and Contact, it made me love science all over again which I always feel good sci fi should do. Even more excited to read the book now!

The Normies

She didn’t mention it hmm. Next time she should speak up more about it.

Katra

Yeah, it's something she can work on. Navi is great at keeping things to herself and only expanding if there is great confusion with a non-spoilery answer. Also, there are times when a question is asked directly to her, but they aren't necessarily looking for an answer back. I noticed Suraj do this maybe a couple times, but was like, "Don't answer." lol
