Thanks for reading my comment. Suraj is right about Earth having so many Green Lanterns because it's so crazy with threats and dangers all the time. Also, next time I'll post My Adventures With Superman on the "Recommend a show" on chat. Forgot about that when I posted the comment.

Suraj was right about Lost. The perfect series finale does exist.

#SundayRundown There's so many westerns to recommend. I'm just going to stick with one: The Wild Bunch (1969). Not only is it one of the best of all-time for the genre, it's on the list of great American films. The story is about a group of aging outlaws that are dealing with the harsh reality that their way of life is over with society advancing in the 1910's. It's a gritty, brutal & often nihilistic movie. These are not the romantic heroes of the old West but there is a poetry to all of it. The film was revolutionary at the time due to content & also pioneering as many filmmaking techniques originated here.

Regarding The Boys ending and "people being more critical of endings nowadays": Lost is my favorite show of all time. I love the finale, but it got way more hate than anything except the GOT finale. Stranger Things ending and The Boys haven't gotten nearly the amount of (in my opinion, super unwarranted) hate that LOST got. It became a meme to hate on LOSTs ending, even by fans that never saw it. This isn't a "these days" issue. A lot of shows not only end badly, but fall apart in later seasons (Dexter, Prison Break, Heroes etc) and fans have always gotten pissed about it.

Suraj, with your question about whether it’s us or the creators/studios that are the problem, I honestly think it’s both (though I lean more toward the creators/studios being the problem with shows like ST, The Boys, and GoT slowly falling apart over time). Audiences can definitely be overly critical sometimes (I’ve been hearing that about myself since film class in HS 😂), and there are plenty of grifters online profiting off farming outrage and fandom wars who don’t actually know what they’re talking about (like the stupid rumor of Eliot Page playing Achilles in The Odyssey). But at the same time, a lot of creators are either long-term vets who aren’t skilled enough to maintain quality over multiple seasons, or they got lucky breaking into the industry without knowing how to sustain their stories past the initial idea (which is what happened to Squid Games). You can throw all the budget money you want at something, but it’s not gonna fix weak/terrible writing. But like I said in my comments in The Boys Ep. 7/8 reactions, great endings are possible. The real issue is gradual quality decline. Once creators stop caring about writing consistency, worldbuilding, continuity, and character motivations, cracks start forming. Every weaker season widens those cracks until eventually the whole thing collapses and people look back calling it a terrible ending/series. That’s basically where I’m at with HotD right now. S2 felt like the show got hit with a sledgehammer. The production still looks amazing, but the writing is full of wasted scenes, illogical character decisions, awkward pacing, and lore contradictions that feel like sloppy fluff written just to force character interactions and spin the wheels of the plot. That’s what GRRM means by “butterfly effects” in adaptations and shit even writing in general. If writers keep throwing random illogical lore into a world without thinking through the implications, eventually the story collapses under its own contradictions. Even small throwaway lines can create massive lore problems later. That’s the difference between strong and weak writing: good writers understand every detail ripples outward and affects the larger world, while weaker writers treat lore like disposable set dressing for whatever scene they’re writing in.

People were also mad about The Sopranos (NO SPOILERS), and they're entitled to their wrong opinions. You are right about Prison Break, Heroes, and Dexter falling apart, but at least Dexter found redemption with Resurrection (so far).

Take a drink every time the Normies say they don’t know a DC character Yes, you’re Normies 😂💙

Lol

PIG

Why the hell did I think Rana was watching Sopranos earlier?! I'm losing it. :D

Michael Acuna

I'm really into obscure DC characters that most people haven't heard of, so it's normal for me, lol.

Javi From 🇪🇦

Episode 84 of Yu Yu Hakusho is my absolute favourite. I've watched it like a 100 times over the years 😂

Ren Davis

Sopranos ending goes hard. I liked it at the time, and I’m happy people realized how good the ending was.

People playing this drinking game: 😵😵😵

Nabeshin

WOW! So somehow you skip my YuYu comment while simultaneously thinking you've already read it, and because you think you've read it (which you didn't), you decide to skip my "One Piece" comment as well! 😡 Not actually mad. It's cool. 😉 And yes. The end of the Gamemaster section of YuYu shocked me as well. I didn't think they'd do it. ☠️

HalGLC

GLC is Green Lantern Corps, with Hal being reference to Hal Jordan, but....I'll take it?
