#SundayRundown!! This finale was iconic as I'm sure this reaction will be (can't see it right this second) but wow!!! What a journey!! From one chapter to another!! Glad we still have The Main Man episodes to look forward too!! Hoping one day you'll see Bizarro or Mr. Mxy!! Until then the DCAU journey continues!!

Denickart

You didn't get to see much of him in the selected episodes but, besides Lois and Dan, Professor Hamilton was Superman's closest ally in this series up to this point.

SUUIIIIIIIIII

Daniel Gonzalez

For real he was the homie which is why it was disappointing he wouldn't help Supergirl till Superman threatened him

Daniel Gonzalez

I have a love/hate relationship with this finale its amazing in the aspect of this is the end if Superman TAS a character who means hope and inspiration to so many to have his legacy tainted and that's how the show ends he didn't even get to get revenge on Darkseid because those people are twisted a couple insights I have though this was actually supposed to lead into another season where Superman worked hard to regain the Earth's trust but we never got it because this team I believe ended up doing Batman Beyond after this also they find have Lois kiss because they thought itd make the kiss at the end have less impact which I think is dumb she doesn't know is he's coming back they definitely should've kissed there anyway thanks for the reaction and ha Surajs dumbass thought you'd wait for him but also even if there's not a reaction you guys should watch the New Kids episode on your own it won't disappoint

I would like to petition adding some more Beyond episodes. I know it’s essential viewing for Justice League but having just watched the whole show myself, that list feels too small. Looking at Max for the number order. Some are admittedly favorites, some for recurring villains, and some just cool. I’ll asterisk the ones I would have to choose for a smaller amount •1x3 Blackout •1x5 Meltdown* •1x9 The Winning Edge •1x10 Spellbound •1x11 Disappearing Inque (maybe) •1x13 Ascension* •2x1 Splicers (maybe) •2x5 Hidden Agenda* •2x6 Bloodsport (maybe) •2x7 Once Burned* (follow up to Dead Man’s Hand on the list, actually kinda surprised this wasn’t included) •2x14 Eyewitness •3x5 Out of the Past*

Always interesting seeing this finale after all these years. Which is more painful; seeing the people who lost their trust in Superman or Darkseid being so close to death but still alive?

MyDude SnakePlisskin

Is...is Granny Goodness a "Hear me out..."? Also, why didn't they just go on TV with one of those superman robots. slap a LexCorp logo on it and say, "Hey I was actually off planet saving an alien race from doom and Lex Luthor built a robot who looked like me in order to ruin the public's faith in me." Problem solved.

#SundayRundown You didn't get too hung up on it but the reason Lois was able to get on the base so easily is her father General Sam Lane. He's a character that originated in the comics & often has an adversarial relationship with Superman. He's been adapted a few times including Smallville where he was played by the voice of Darkseid here Michael Ironside. Superman & Lois also had him at the forefront as a main character in the series.

#SundayRundown Fantastic & bittersweet finale. The Man of Steel triumphs but not without some major loss. The world at large no longer trusts him. He finds out Professor Hamilton is not ride or die. Worst of all after defeating Darkseid he isn't able to liberate Apokolips as the people have no concept of freedom & Darkseid gets in snarky last word as he's carried off like a hero.

#SundayRundown For such a fun optimistic show this has got to be one of the saddest finales. Really? That's how the show ends, with Superman being hated and feared? I hated this finale as a kid. I didn't have cable so I didn't know about the Justice League cartoon and that the story continued until many years later. That General (General Hardcastle) was a problem in an earlier Superman episode which you guys didn't see. Dr. Hamilton was superman's close friend in many episodes, so Superman freaking him out is a big deal. Dr. Hamilton was in the last few seasons of Smallville played by Felix Gaeta from Battlestar. Dr. Hamilton was also in Man of Steel played by an older actor Richard Schiff. The animated movie Navi was thinking of was "Superman/Batman: Apocalypse (2010)", which you guys should totally watch. Also Superman/Batman: Public Enemies (2009). Those movies rock.

Shockzz1234

Yeah I didn't realise how little he and STAR Labs appear in the series from the eps watched on the list, which are most of the important eps lol.

Steve Harvey Dent

They had plans for season 4 but kids wb wanted to move on withe batman beyond.

Daniel Gonzalez

Oh so now that we've gotten here I forgot to mention the spoiler that you guys saw earlier when looking stuff up was that one speculating that Superman might have had a kid with Lashina of the Furies right? I didn't even think about it too much when this originally came out but the way she was just watching him sleep in his room implied a certain relationship she even called him lover and boy toy so I don't care the director says that wasn't their intent BS

Steve Harvey Dent

Yep navi. Granny goodness is voice by a man. Ed Asner (ed wansler from the boondocks and Johnny step dad in cobra kai). Speaking of witch both granny and darksied (Micheal ironside who is Colonel Paul Dugan) are both in the karate kid universe.

Stan the Man

Ok. I know you guys are watching to prep to Justice League but there are S Tier episodes you are bailing on that, oh man, soooo good. “The Late Mr Kent” is *chefs kiss*. It does not tie into Justice League true, but it is one of the best stories told in the DCAU with an ending that leaves you slack jawed. For a kids cartoon? Crazy. Just crazy. Please check that episode out.

christopher

One day you guys will watch a show called Justice League and learn what could happen if superman just kills

CJ Dennis

Especially given where his story goes in unlimited 🤔.

AvatarConner

#SundayRundown you guys do know it’s wrong for heroes to kill right? Just asking.
