Dying laughing at Marketa comparing Don Callis to a fucking Diglett, it's so true lmaoo. Anyway, Takeshita and Fletcher were pretty much best friends. Even within the Don Callis Family, they were a duo, often referred to by fans as "ProtoShita" lol. So this betrayal hit, as you can imagine. Takeshita has since allied himself with another group called the Conglomeration (ft. Orange Cassidy, the guy who fights with his hands in his pockets and in jeans) to fight against the Don Callis Family, since he has now been kicked out of it. Fun fact about Takeshita, the first time I ever saw him wasn't even a match. It was a fucking Youtube video. A Youtuber named CDawgVA, who lives in Japan, did a video a few years ago where he trained to be a pro wrestler and the guy who trained him was none other than a pre AEW Takeshita. Very fun vid, you get to see Takeshita's real self and he's funny as fuck. When I saw him in AEW I did the DiCaprio pointing meme lmao. Here's the vid if anyone wants to watch in their own time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OvjZd4ZuwRI

#SundayRundown The tension between Okada-Takeshita has been going on for a long-time. Some fans watching week in & week out feel like it's been too long. I understand that perspective. Wrestling like other mediums can sometimes prolong a story past the point of effectiveness. I don't think they did that here though. Sooner rather than later Takeshita will be AEW World Champ & this was an important building block to that.
