As they prepare to apprehend him, Loid triggers pre-arranged traps, detonating the park fountain to create a diversion before making his escape. During the pursuit, several agents are caught in concealed rope snares hidden beneath fallen leaves. They soon encounter an injured Yuri, who claims that Twilight fled east. After the agents depart, it is revealed that this Yuri was actually Loid in disguise. Repeating his earlier threat, Winston threatens to critically injure Loid and is surprised when Fiona angrily complies. Sensing her emotional attachment to Loid, he lectures her on how bonds make agents weak and outlines his belief that a spy should never trust anyone. Ignoring his words, Fiona launches a reckless assault. Though Winston anticipates her movements, her sudden burst of speed causes him to overthink and falter, allowing her to land a decisive blow that knocks him down. The impact breaks Fiona's right arm, but she continues to glare at Winston with unyielding fury.
