#SundayRundown #OnePiece FINALLY CAUGHT UP AGAIN! 😅 I was in Chicago 2 weeks ago and Memphis Tennessee last week. Good to be back to posting!..."Ace Gregg", huh Chris? That's a new one for me. Also, I love seeing Navi and Ketty's faces during the last bit of the episode, where a bunch of characters are appearing and things are being set in motion. Their faces to each other clearly say "I don't remember this from the manga!" 😂 If you read this, Suraj, most likely you've recovered by now, and I'll say the same thing to you that I say to my bff who also gets migraines: I will never understand your pain, but I got you. 😔✊🏽 EDIT: I should give a timestamp for a Navi/Ketty confused-manga-reader-face moment -> 26:05

"Hey that's Luffy's dude" "dad?" "You think that's Shanks?" 😭 perfect.

Finally at the point where OPLA watchers are going in blind. Speaking of, hopefully Suraj is feeling better.

On the subject of saying sanctioned pirating is wild, Francis Drake was a pirate who preyed on England's enemies mainly Spain. Instead of fighting them they made deals to allow them to target other country's vessels in the name of the crown. Same deal here where the warlords are too much trouble so if they agree we'll let them just hunt other pirates.

Veritas

The historical term for raiders employed and licensed by governments to attack their rivals is "privateers."

One of the best parts of One Piece is the wrap ups of the arcs. A lot of series usually just move on from one arc to the next after they finish but not One Piece. Oda takes the time to actually make extended wrap ups for arcs and they're among some of the best parts of the series and pretty much universally loved by fans. It's usually when the juiciest lore drops occur! Also yes, Mr. 2, Bon Clay's voice is great, voiced by the great Kazuki Yao! You've already heard him voice a character before as well, he was the voice of 1! 2! 3! Jango! He'll also actually voice another character in the future as well lmao. Funny enough, the appearances of both Bon Clay and the future character he voices are both inspired by two different Jim Carrey roles. Bon Clay is based off of Lloyd from Dumb and Dumber and the other is...well, I’ll let you see for yourselves when you meet them! ;) (I also just realised that two of Yao’s voiced characters do a “1,2,3” catchphrase but with Bon Clay it’s in french lmao)

A lot of lore drops in the last episode. Keep in mind the word World Summit = Reverie that Dalton mentions, when kings are meeting to discuss world affairs. In Japanese he said Reverie, other things to keep in mind the "Will of the D" that Roger's full name is Gold D. Rogers. You guys got to see Ace for the first time, and that he was looking for Blackbeard. Also, Dragon makes a cameo appearance in a flashback during the Reverie. Someone in the couch, should keep notes of all the important information that has been revealed up to this point.
