So hyped! Started the Normies back when the Sozin's Comet reaction released on YouTube - always hyped for the ATLA content!

I’m so hyped to see this later on today

Def was the strongest episode!! They covered 2x3 Return To Omashu, 2x12 Serpents Pass, 3x3 The Painted Lady - and then last szn they covered 2x2 and 2x4. They cut out 2x5 (Avatar Day) and have alluded to 2x1 (The Avatar State) but there may be more as we go.

Maaaan, i don't know how to feel about Iroh just being an overtly sad old man. The actors are doing their scenes well, its just they took the fun away.

"I thought Shyamalan did nothing wrong" I uh no I'm sorry Chris are you trolling I did recently rewatch it and it did so so many things wrong I can't even list them without exceeding word count. NO seriously 100% no everything went wrong.

These mid making mother truckers had him LEARN HOW TO WATERBEND in between seasons…. Only a true normies could say this is good lol

The Cook

this show makes the movie look like cinema. EDIT: cinema is too far lmao but this show is awful

"earthbenders your element is all around you" lmfao no its atrocious this show for all its faults isn't what ever the hell that thing was

I don't see it. Iroh specifically says he chooses to be happy. And he's only sad when thinking about his son. They're just fleshing it out and suggesting he gives advice despite going through stuff and working on himself too. It's not so bad. And Sokka's "water tribe" moment says otherwise in regards to fun being taken away. The action has been pretty good too.

Axxidous

Wow. That is definitely not the case. Show has more human, feels more natural, is more faithful, has emotional moments, better bending/fight scene choreo... Whoops.

100%? The sets were great. The music was good. The costume design was different but it was pretty good for whatever they were going for, the effects kinda fluctuate but they were pretty good at times. And story-wise, it did a decent job retelling season 1. It just wasn't paced or delivered well. The casting choices were funky and the name pronunciations were unnecessary. Noah Ringer did at least kinda look like Aang and he acted like him too (behind the scenes) but the movie did mess up that part. The Earthbending scene was meant to make it seem like the Earthbenders were mental prisoners who lost home despite Earth all around. Not the best choice but I understand it. And the 6 Earthbenders with the pebble is a scene I actually speculate is an unintentional misdirect caused by technical issues. I saw Katara bending water in a sceenshot that, in the final movie, was just her practicing the moves. I can totally see these benders meant to do something else that was removed so all you see is the small rock that, if you really pay attention, was actually only being controlled by the one person in the foreground shortly after.

"just fleshing it out" that is a whole different character
