This show does a great job introducing new villains for Terry so when it does bring back some of Bruce's.. it really does feel like something truly special!!

Yeah that picture was of Barbara Gordon. She brings it up to Terry in one of the episodes you missed but she and Bruce dated at some point between BTAS and Batman Beyond.

#Sunday Rundown. There have only been 2 Robins in this universe which consist of Dick Grayson and Tim Drake in these shows. Batman Beyond ended on 2001 while Damian Wayne wasn’t introduced in the comics until 2006. That redhead on the screen was Barbara who is now the new commissioner like her father Jim used to be.

#Sunday Rundown When Bruce is looking through the old pictures of women he could’ve been with, it also showed Barbara Gordon AKA Batgirl. In her debut episode in Beyond Barbara tells Terry that at some point she and Bruce became lovers. As you can imagine, most of the fandom wasn’t too happy with that revelation especially since she was his adopted son’s (Dick) ex-girlfriend and the daughter of his good friend, Jim and the pairing just seems so inappropriate in the first place. #SundayRundown Probably one of the more disturbing episodes in the DCAU. Dad catfished as his daughter that he killed to sexually persuade her lover and guy he wanted to be his successor Again, there’s only TWO Robins in this universe. Dick/Nightwing & Tim Drake/Robin. Jason Todd was still dead in the comics at this point and they gave Tim some of Jason’s qualities. Damien Wayne didn’t exist yet until after the DCAU was over. Y’all have a keyboard right there guys 😅

I was just anticipating the moment Talia’s body said, “DETECTIVE.” Everyone felt so violated for Bruce except for Spidey who looked like he was waiting for the chaos to unfold.

The fandom not being too happy is an understatement. The Bruce and Barbara relationship is weird, especially since, in this universe, Bruce has known Barbara since she was a kid, which makes Bruce come across like a groomer. Barbara was also dating Dick while Barbara was pregnant with Bruce’s kid and her having a miscarriage and Bruce revealing his relationship with Barbara to Dick being the ultimate reason Dick and Bruce don’t have any kind of relationship in this universe just makes it too over dramatic even for a comic book story. Bruce and Barbara being a couple is Bruce Timm’s weirdest fetish and should never, ever be seen or made into any form of media again.

#SundayRundown Thanks for putting this on the list Marketa! Bruce's disgust and hatred watching the musical about Batman will never stop being funny. That alone makes this episode amazing. Also I love Bruce's line, "You don't cheat death, you whimper in fear of it." And the guitar music from the OG batman cartoon at 8:42. Rana might recognize that voice actor playing that creepy thug at 9:46 on the youtube cut. It's Michael Rosenbaum who played Lex Luthor in the Smallville tv series. He voiced a couple characters in Batman Beyond, and he had a major voice acting role in the justice league cartoon. So he was in 3 different DC shows in the 2000s.

@Dante the comic that had that storyline I think is not considered canon. Also, I've seen some others bring up that it wasn't purely Bruce Timm's idea for the paring. The whole crew contributed to it 🤔.

Well then it's a bit of a pointless question then because it becomes "would you have sex with the hot woman while having the knowledge that she's 100% the hot woman and not knowing who she really is?" and the answer is obviously yes , I would have sex with the hot woman before I know she's not actually her lol. But the real conundrum comes from knowing it's Ra's and still having to decide whether you want to have sex with "her" or not lol.

That Ra's plan, to introduce himself as their son, has to be where Grant Morrison got the inspiration for Damian when he introduced him 6 years later in the comics!
