Nah I feel attacked, every time I bank a series to watch and I catch up at the peak moments. I’m just here for your reactions but dude wtf I can’t be this cursed to where everyone is out of town 🤣

#SundayRundown #YuYuHakusho The arm-break is one thing from this show that is a permanent fixture in my memory banks. Every so often I just randomly think about the gentle crunch of Yusuke's radius and ulna, and cringe internally once again. Also, even though it raised the stakes, I still hate that Koenma's Mafuukan was hyped up to be the one truly bad-ass thing this character was going to do, and then just fails. The explanation later just made it worse IMO! By the way, y'all were talking about DBZ when pointing out Sensui's "ultra instinct", but you failed to realized that the Mafuukan is reminiscent of Master Roshi's Mafuba a.k.a. Evil Containment Wave. 😉

They didn't watch dragon ball

I honestly hope you guys skip the next episode's recap and title card, and go straight to the action. For spoilers reasons.

I'd honestly be fine with the Mafuukan fail if it was purely due to the nature of Sacred energy. It's more interesting than just power vs power, and there's no reason spirit world would ever prepare to contend with it. I was pleased there was even an attempt to make Koenma a player, success was never necessary. But unfortunately there is that other detail that... really is a bit silly all things considered.

I would love it if next up was Wing Gundam. I remember watching Gundam, then this on Toonami

The mind games yusuke was playing with sensui was surprisingly calculated; they both know that if Yusuke dies Sensui will lose 👀

Meh

That wall face apparition thing they're traped in is a completely seperate (arguably sentient) entity. It was tamed by Etsuki (think that's green hair's name), but is not a part of him.

So Yusuke is like the latter half of being 15 at this point. The last time they were up against a seemingly undefeatable opponent, Kuwabara "dying" was what pushed Yusuke into being able to win his battle, to put everything he was on the line. Being so young, it definitely makes sense for him to think, "Well, it worked last time so this is literally all I can think of to do at this point." It's a total 11th hour hail Mary play.

Funny you mention Toonami because this was on the old midnight run of Toonami that started back in 2000. I remember staying up and watching random episodes when I stayed with family that had cable at the time.
