Ormund is already a great villain and his dynamic with Daeron is something I'm looking forward to watch unfold. Daeron being raised away from Alicent is the best thing she could have done. Also love Aegon and Daeron's bonds with their dragons.

That scene with Daemon and Caraxes is another great example of while there truly is an emotional/mental bond between rider and dragon, that doesn't mean that the dragon has no agency or will of its own. Sometimes a dragon just does what it wants. It reminds me of this quote from the books where Daenerys flew Drogon for the first few times: The dragonlords of old Valyria had controlled their mounts with binding spells and sorcerous horns. Daenerys made do with a word and a whip. Mounted on the dragon's back, she oft felt as if she were learning to ride all over again. When she whipped her silver mare on her right flank the mare went left, for a horse's first instinct is to flee from danger. When she laid the whip across Drogon's right side he veered right, for a dragon's first instinct is always to attack. Sometimes it did not seem to matter where she struck him, though; sometimes he went where he would and took her with him. Neither whip nor words could turn Drogon if he did not wish to be turned. The whip annoyed him more than it hurt him, she had come to see; his scales had grown harder than horn.

#SundayRundown Keep in mind what you said about decomposition and then note the difference between the corpse of Sunfyre and the corpse of Meleys. It's interesting that Meleys is a festering torn up deeply rotted out husk while Sunfyre's body seems almost pristine with some wounds on his chest and maybe face but not much else going on. The flies are buzzing around him but where are the crows or the carrion birds? It could be that since he died later, he's just not been picked at yet. But nature is unforgiving. When a thing is really dead, the world doesn't leave stuff in tact for more than a day in the open. When it's not and it's really big and dangerous, most scavengers stay away unless they're too little to matter like bugs. Maybe those two guys are keeping the animals away, though they don't seem wise enough to maintain such a big corpse for this paid attraction they got going on. I'm just saying.

I still think sunfyre is alive. If you noticed meleys was decaying but sunfyre wasn’t. a rider and their dragon do have a strong connection so he might have actually been sensing that sunfyre is alive.

Ormund is going to end up being a top tier character. James Norton is a phenomenal actor. It really is sad bc allicent made the correct decision to send daeron away from kings landing however he has been raised by another awful person.

Rhaenyra: Hey Ulf you work for me now, so you know, your work-life balance, that's done. You are no longer permitted to have a social life. You can no longer see or spend time with the friends you used to have. Oh, and you are now confined to the company premises at all times, except when actively performing duties in the field on my orders. Understood? Ulf: Thank you, Your Grace! Working for you is everything I dreamed it would be and more. Please give me more reasons why I shouldn't betray you

The dragon also feels their riders emotions. So sheepstealer is already wild and does its own thing but is also feeling all the emotions rhaena is feeling. The wild dragon will never be able to be as trained and well behaved as the other dragons. No matter the amount of training. That’s the point daemon was trying to make that they they can’t trust sheepstealer.

Your on the money with alys rivers surj. She is def similar to Melisandre. Shes probably like 200-300 years old possibly. She said she has seen harrenhal passed from person to person. I hope we see more with her and possibly the 3 eyed raven maybe? Also very interested to see her and aemonds dynamic. She obviously seems to know everything that happens before and after. She coincidentally got ulf Hugh and Adam to leave Harrenhal right before Aemond showed up and then was able to get cole and gwayne to leave.

#SundayRundown Just to add some context, the writers erased a very prominent and fan favorite character from the book and gave her storyline to Rhaena. But in doing so they have fundamentally altered Rhaena's character and kind of committed character assassination in the process. For example Targaryens have always acquired their dragons in variation of ways, yes sometimes a Targaryen is given a Dragon egg at birth that shares their cradle with them and hatches when their babies and grows with them, but you can also acquire your'e dragon later in life. Both of Rhaena's parents, Daemon and Laena got their dragons when they were around the same age as she is now, Caraxes lived a long life and had another rider before Daemon, Princess Rhaenys's (The Queen who never was ) Father, so neither of her parents would look down on her for not having a dragon when she was a kid, the idea that she was ridiculed , ignored and pitied because of a lack of a dragon is complete and utter BS. Also none of this makes me feel bad for her because I can't get over how stupid she was for taking that dragon out to a battle after flying on it ONCE, (which also did not happen in the book) and the writers trying to make me believe that she is in so much danger from Rhaenrya's wrath that Daemon feels compelled to lie for her, would be more believable if Rhaenrya was actually showed to have smoke for her enemies, because if I see Rhaenrya have more smoke for Rhaena than Alicent I'm literally going to flip my TV.

#SundayRundown Guys you've got it wrong with Hugh and Ulf being the reason why Rhaenyra isn't legitimizing Addam and Alyn. Just to be clear on the legitimizing of Bastards in this universe, the first step is that a Noble lord must acknowledge you as their offspring. Thats why Hugh and Ulf can never be legitimized. They're both claiming some descent from dead Targaryens but there is no way to know this. For instance, they could just be the children of some sailors from Essos who have Valyrian blood in them (remember, Valyrian blood is quite common in Essos). Addam and Alyn are acknowledged by Corlys as his sons, thats why he had that dinner with Rhaenyra to make this clear. This is the first step to being legitimized. Its like how Ned acknowledged Jon as his bastard and raised him in Winterfell with his other kids. This step makes you a high-born bastard, and you get the special surname depending on your location (Snow, Sand, Rivers, Flowers etc.). Legitimizing comes after this. The reason Rhaenyra has given on the show for not legitimizing the bastards is that she is already strongly associated with bastards due to the rumors around her sons. She thinks it would be a bad PR move on her part if one of the first things she does as ruler is raise up Alyn and Addam. She thinks it would make her seem partial to bastards because her own kids are really bastards. Remember, in this world bastards are said to be treacherous and untrustworthy due to the nature of their birth, people always look upon them with suspicion. She just doesnt want to be associated with that and bring back attention to her own kids.
