ALL HAIL KING AEGON AND HIS DRAGON SUNFYRE

Arctic_stark

#SundayRundown Chris, in the ASOIAF books the dragons refuse to go over the Wall, so you are right as far as Book lore is concerned. It was only in the show that a dragon flew over the wall.

Dante Sparda

Sunfyre laughing with Aegon just reinforces that they have one of the strongest bonds between a dragon and its rider. And honestly, fuck Syrax, Seasmoke, and Caraxes for jumping Sheepstealer. He was a wild and free dragon until Miss Daddy Issues came along, so fuck Rhaena too especially for abandoning him. Nettles would never. Speaking of Nettles, I hate that Ryan Condal cut such a cool and interesting character from the show, then has the gall to reference her anyway. He cut Nettles and replaced her with Rhaena so Daemon wouldn’t cheat on Rhaenyra, only for Rhaenyra to cheat on Daemon with incompetent , boring ass Mysaria. Twice.

MarcusDiggler

Limpy walk man is doing a animation role as joker so calm the hype rana he won’t be confronted by Pattinson

Dee

Just want to clarify larys is the new joker but for the animated series cape crusader on amazon prime not live action

#SundayRundown I'm sorry I did love Rhaenrya and I felt so horrible that her Crown was taken from her simply due to her being a woman, but the writing for her in these last few episodes have been atrocious and this episode solidified it for me that she shouldn't rule, like if she can allow herself to be easily manipulated by Mysaria, she shouldn't be the ruler of anything, and it's incredibly frustrating because the writers wrote her confronting Mysaria about trying to turn her against Daemon, she also recognizes and knows he didn't betray her, that he simply protected his daughter and yet she still fell for Mysaria's BS. Mysaria is an unbearable character for me honestly, the reason being that much like Alicent, she refuses to acknowledge that she is also a horrible person. Everything she accuses Daemon of, she herself is also doing. She accused him of lying but she herself is lying to Rhaenrya's face about knowing about Heleana being pregnant , she accused him of deception and trying to cover up crimes but she literally just had a maid killed last episode because the maid knew she covered up Alicent and Heleana's first escape attempt. She accuses him of trying to take Rhaenrya's power and be the true ruler but she is the one going around calling herself Rhaenrya's "Proxy" and that any issues people may have ,to bring to her first and she will judge whether or not to tell Rhaenrya and yet I didn't see her discuss this with Rhaenrya, I didn't see Rhaenrya give her any of these responsibilities, so she is taking power for herself. She also 100% did bring that other prostitute into the throne room to gloat and show off her new position so I'm glad that woman slapped her right in the face with a reality check.

Yeah and it’s Silverwing (the dragon Ulf rides now) that refuses to fly over the Wall even though Queen Alyssane tries to force her three times.

#SundayRundown Nitpick but vegetable originally meant all matter that grows and is not an animal, ie all plants. Meant at 26:10 when Chris called Ormund out on the distinction.

#SundayRundown Aegon needed to be humbled to become better. It's a running theme in GOT that the rulers rarely see the commoners issues, as they're literally living lavishly above them in their high castles. Hell, the viewers don't even really see the commoners, we just see the rulers. It's why Egg is so grounded in Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, he's literally walking the road like a normal person. Aegon needed a big dose of humble pie, similar to Jamie to remind himself that he isn't a 'dragon', he's a human.

Munte

Past season 6 game of thrones shouldn't be considered canon but filler

#SundayRundown This Aegon storyline is being executed well and I’m enjoying the balancing of the bias between blacks and greens, but don’t get carried away with all this king of the people stuff. This guy r**ed a maidservant in season 1 and was frequenting children pit fights (and had left a bastard living there).

We are now at the climax of the season where all of Rhaenyra's pragmatic decision-making and shrewd leadership skills have paved the way to her complete victory in the war and the total establishment of her reign. I mean she already did the hard part right? She took King's Landing; all she needs to do is secure it and tie up a couple of loose ends across the realm. She took Daemon's advice and destroyed the remainder of the Hightower army, right? I mean I know Daemon's a hothead and needs to be reined in, but the one thing he knows well is war and fighting, and he did see the Hightower's for what they were since the beginning and called them out multiple times over the years. And let's be real the Hightower's are the main and lead conspirators in the usurpation of her throne, so... Oh wait she didn't do that, nvm. She granted Corlys's small request to legitimize his bastards now that House Velaryon is almost on the brink of extinction. I mean Velaryon has been her strongest and one of her most loyal supporters in this, even against Corlys's better judgement. I understand she wants to put on airs for the other houses and mainly for herself that her sons weren't bastards but let's be real it's an open secret at this point. She wouldn't alienate her biggest supporter and hand over this causing him to leave the city and possibly get captured... Oh wait she did, nvm. Well certainly she listened to Daemon about keeping the city secured by paying the Gold Cloaks with the money he got from the Vale. I mean I agree with Mysaria that you should uplift the small folk but it's stupid of her to suggest doing that now when you are in the middle of propagating a war and have no money. That's something you do after you win the war, restabilize the realm, then you uplift the small folk. Mysaria clearly seems to be in some type of weird power and pissing match with Daemon, which is why she immediately shot down this suggestion. The Gold Cloaks protect, secure, and enforce law and order within the city aka your headquarters. Without them, you wouldn't have been able to take the city and throne in the first place, they should be paid so they can continue doing their job... Oh wait she didn't, sigh nvm. Well surely, she has been treating all her allies with respect. For instance, she hasn't been treating Ulf as a slave/tool, she realizes he is one of her precious dragon seeds, and that without him she would probably have already lost this war, and that he is a person, not just a weapon who needs to be placated every once in a while, (not all the time, not even most of the time) and treated with a modicum of respect and autonomy. If he or any other of the dragon seeds were to turn on her side the consequences would be dire... Wait, she didn't do that either, then nvm. Hopefully after finally finding out where Aemond is she wasn't stupid enough to only send one man and Alicent to assassinate him. If she doesn't want to send an army that's fine, she at least sent a small team of skilled warriors along with Alicent to get the job done... She didn't do that either, well then nvm. Okay last thing: she is not now going to start alienating Daemon her right-hand man and enforcer just for protecting his daughter. Yea he shouldn't have kept the situation with Rhaena a secret, but he did initially strongly advise her to come clean. She refused, and he only kept the secret out of guilt and obligation to his child. He was in no way actually betraying her. She's definitely not going to let Mysaria use this as a reason to manipulate her into driving a wedge between her and her husband, right hand man, and top enforcer, which she has clearly been trying to do all season in an attempt gain more power.... Wait, she probably will do that, then nvm. Damn, Rhaenyra, I like you, but why do you make it so hard to root for you.

Dee

Yea I dont get the notion that he's going to return as a better king. He hasn't show any sympathy for the common folk at all, I'd argue he's shown more disgust by their way of life. Once he get's that taste of power again which he did this episode he'll return to his old ways.

Nyeisha Melvina Clark

I also find it funny that last season they revealed that Hugh is apparently Daemon and Viserys's nephew. Ulf is apparently Daemon and Viserys's half brother, and also Heleana visiting Daemon in his vision in the season finale and yet NONE of these things have been brought back up. The writers have this horrible habit of just throwing things in the story that may look or sound cool to them but then just never following through or digging deeper into it.

Nyeisha Melvina Clark

LOL don't blame the dragons for jumping Sheepstealer because they were also just trying to protect their riders. The blame for all of this falls squarely on Rhaena's shoulders, and it's just so frustrating because they took Nettles story, gave it to Rhaena and instead of writing it just as good or maybe even better, they made it 1000 times worse, like Rhaena just comes off as selfish and stupid in this whole ordeal and she even abandoned Sheepstealer to get killed, something Nettles would never do.

SnakeYikes

In what universe is Aegon now a good king? He spent a decade literally raping random women and putting his bastards into fighting pits. Reminder that the reason he actually stopped... he has no cock anymore. He is not a good person... Neither is Larys. They are truly awful people but because they have had some funny lines this season they are apparently now "changed"?

Arctic_stark

I wonder what Mysaria thinks will happen once she successfully drives a wedge between Rhaenyra and Daemon. Daemon is the only one going around getting things done. Rhaenyra and Mysaria never even leave the castle. Mysaria hasnt done a single thing as Master of Whisperers, she doesnt even seem to acknowledge that there is a rebellion in the city. Team Black simply collapses without Daemon and Caraxes. If I was Daemon I would ask my daughters to fly off with me to Pentos and live a life of luxury in the Free Cities, which is what he was doing until Rhaenyra begged him to join Team Black in season 1.

SPACEZFAP

key word season 1

SPACEZFAP

ew team black propaganda

SPACEZFAP

The season 1 Aegon was basically retconned anyway by season 2 so not the same person anymore

SnakeYikes

Eh somewhat, we are reminded of Dyana though and shown the trauma he caused so it’s not like they chose to completely ignore it.

Jacob Livingston

Helaena does know most of the stuff Rhaenyra was asking about. She saw what happens to Aemond and daemon. There is just no point bc it will change nothing

Jacob Livingston

I knew sunfyre was alive!!!! Aegon is on the come up!

Jacob Livingston

The actor who plays larys is voicing the joke in the new animated Batman show

Jacob Livingston

We saw daemon gettin it on w his momma in S2 and now aemond this season. Alys is fucking with these dudes man 😭😭😭😭

Dante Sparda

Unfortunately a majority of season 5 too

Dante Sparda

Another Ryan made up storyline to make the Greens the bad guys while utterly missing the point of the Dance of The Dragons and Fire and Blood

SpeedyCat19

I'm so confused as to why Rana's cheering *so hard* for Aegon. Did we forget what a monster and horrible king/person he was in the past?? And now a few scenes of sympathy and all is forgiven?? Are we that recency-biased? I know Rana has her smut books full of stalkers and mafia bosses, but jeez

Sylvi the Prostitute is making the Tankie argument for "Entryism" while the The White worm is talking about changing the system from within by her whims and the whims of the Queen, Keep in mind guys that Dany a 150 years later is still talking about breaking the Wheel of this system so in the end Sylvi was right about the white worm Zoran types changing things for the better by joining the machine.
