My goats finally reacting to it🔥🔥

SunnydaleClassof99

#SundayRundown One of the greatest TV themes of all-time for any genre. I understand people have been waiting months for this. I've absolutely loved the tasting menu of the DCAU though. If it was up to me you'd watch every episode even the one where Lois Lane's pet monkey from her childhood returns from outer space & grows to the size of King Kong.

Kickinthescience

The definitive version of Justice League has arrived

christopher

OMG i thought i would never see the day

Kickinthescience

As great as this show is, Justice League Unlimited is even better and its a continuation of the story

SunnydaleClassof99

I don't know. The 1997 version on CBS where the guy that voiced The Cryptkeeper plays The Atom is pretty peak.

PurportedGrey

Yall, we all gotta come to terms that Super Friends was the definitive version of the Justice League!🤣

Stan the Man

Wait. Are they doing one episode at a time? The show is nothing but two parters with the odd exception. Doing one episode at a time is…yikes. I think people would rather get both parts a once even if it means skipping a week. Right? Maybe I’m wrong but doing it like this won’t be as enjoyable for you or the audience. It’s too much stop and go.

Stan the Man

Justice League Unlimited is WAY, WAY better. It’s not even close. Season 1 of JL is really hit or miss. I just think of Unlimited as season 3 & 4 of JL.

Acesoldia

#sundayrundown the change in Superman's face was a attempt to make him look more mature among other things, they change it back later.

Stan the Man

Beyond the all time GOAT opening credits, two things about this show are Major downgrades from prior DCAU. The background score is weak sauce. It sounds like temp midi music. They didn’t have the budget for full orchestra like BTAS/STAS. The other is animation. The show was produced with digital ink & paint and it just doesn’t look as good. The cgi stuff looks bad, especially the sprite fire FX. Cel animation with actual ink and paint will always look better to me. But season 1 looks legit bad at times. Superman’s awful re-design(that face? Yikes. Thank goodness they fix it in season 2). I also prefer Tim Daly as Superman. George Newbern doesn’t have that warmth and gentleness that Tim has. I really wish Tim had stayed on as Superman but whatever. George isn’t bad. He’s fine. But it’s a lesser version of the character, especially in season 1.

Roosevelt

#SundayRundown Fun Fact about this version of superman is that he is not voice by Tim Daly the superman from the animated series he is voice by George Newbern here. George has been the go to superman voice every since though Tim would reprise the role a few times with the last time being in the 2012 animated movie Justice League: Doom He was recast cause of scheduling conflicts Bruce Timm said that even towards the end of superman the animated series it was becoming increasingly hard to schedule Tim for voice over. Tim Daly's son Sam Daly has also voiced superman in the Flashpoint movie But anyway this cast are the definitive voices for these characters and would voice them in almost all DC related projects

Ludwig's Fishbowl

#SundayRundown So glad we're here!! Also so glad for all the DCAU you watched before this!! Excited for the journey and for your reactions!! Most of the first two seasons are two parters and on occasion three parters. I actually had the secret origins three parter on VHS. They edited them together to be a Justice League movie.

Adan Guzman

They would most likely put it like that on YouTube but I get what you mean.

Kickinthescience

Justice League still has some classic moments and villain performances

Kickinthescience

They’re watching more than one episode at a time. The uploads are one at a time though

Matt

I distinctly remember having a JL dvd where they all first meet to fight mars invaders

TrixieTurner

Thank god hallelujah and peanut butter we have finally reached peak! To this day I say justice league and justice league unlimited is the best dc has put out, live action or animated. It has the best moments and really lets the characters shine.

Zeee

Way better

Zeee

#SundayRundown even though i'm disappointed that you guys skipped so much from the other series, I'm happy that we're finally starting JL!

Brandon Cho

Finalllyyyyyyyyyy. Come get me when you guys get to unlimited

Shockzz1234

Both you and Blind Wave are doing Justice League at the same time, peak.

Shockzz1234

Well this opener is a 3 parter, so I'm hoping they upload one here and then do a double next week to finish it off.

TrixieTurner

After months of being blue balled and taunted I am a starving person feasting, omg that was sooo good when I heard the outro playing I got mad I couldn’t go to the Patreon to watch the next episode now. The designs the voices the introductions god the memories of my time as a homunculus are flooding back to me and I gotta say, this still hits just as hard now as it did back then. It’s just so iconic so hype so magnanimous, this is the primo grade a-1 hot sauce dc experience.

Grimbane42

Haven't watched it yet, that's for after work but I gotta beg here, can we get more than 1 episode a week? It's not like there are a shortage of episodes to make it last a while on the channel and again its not like a shortage of shows you can replace it with after. I get the weekly format although I wish more channels would treat it less like a how long can we drag this out and more like here's 3 episodes which is the equivalent of one normal episode of a regular length Game of Thrones episode. Just seems like unnecessary padding for a show that has it's meat in small arcs.

Maurice Gray Jr

#SundayRundown FINALLY! This is the best Justice League origin for me, comics and TV combined, and yes Suraj, that theme is a definite earworm. PLEASE do the multi-parters together instead of one at a time or we'll all be as old as Superman's face looks in this by the time we reach Unlimited :-).

dero45

Nice such a great series some of these two and three parters could be it’s own JL movie y’all in for a treat

Emmanuel Roberson

I own all of Justice League on DVD. I watched it every since it first premiered and it would show on cartoon network for an hour because it was treated as a drama by the network, WB, & creators. So you have to watch both parts at the same time like every other drama. It'll flow better.

Michael Acuna

Lol, totally dynamically cool that Snapper Carr, the original JL sidekick from the classic comics, was a reporter in this universe.

Shockzz1234

#SundayRundown - We're FINALLY here, LET'S GOOOO!! Me personally, I much prefer STAS Superman's look and I slightly prefer his voice. They changed the voice to represent Superman getting older (and because Tim Daly had scheduling conflicts lol) and they also changed his appearance as well. I really don't like the cheeks either. Luckily, the creator's listen to this and fix his cheekbones later on. Same with Wonder Woman. Speaking of Wonder Woman, even though she didn't appear in STAS or BTAS, she does get mentioned in a STAS episode (one you didn't watch) by name (which is odd because she only becomes WW in this JL opener, but we'll ignore that lmao). But that's all we got with her. There were actually copyright issues surrounding her and they had to fight to get her to appear in this show, and that's also probably why she didn't show up before this.

Frankie H

#SundayRundown Oh always forget about the cheek lines they gave superman in this show. I hate it. I guess it's supposed to show some time has passed since Superman: TAS. I still hate it. It's kind of strange that none of the characters mentioned that Darkseid brainwashed Superman into being his personal soldier and used Superman to attack Earth. I feel like the General guy should have mentioned that when everyone wanted to entrust Superman alone with protecting the earth. Although it seems everyone has forgiven Superman for that so that's nice. I guess he has earned back peoples trust, which is good because that Superman finale was such a downer.

CJ Dennis

@Stan the Man I and older fans agree. To us JL and JLU are the same show with 5 seasons and the last 3 season are called Unlimited. I think it's only because streaming and DVDS separate them that Unlimited is seen as a sequel series 🤔.

CJ Dennis

@Shockzz1234 Same and they said they would, and they were doing that with the other stuff 🤔.

Ren Davis

To quote Young Justice: Today’s the day 😁

J. J.

#sundayrundown They originally wanted a "matured" Superman so they drew him older looking but fans criticized it and they retconned it in season 2 onwards. He'll look normal again soon.

Velton

WW vs Vixen/BC/Huntress is still cold. That show had my favorite versions of Supergirl, green arrow and the Question.

Brandon Cho

Literally the episode that had me like okk they are boxing. That one and the green arrow black canary v huntress and question. Turned me from Marvel to DC in that cage match.

Velton

It was a different era man. Every episode featured a different lineup of characters JLU was probably one of the few properties they had that got kids looking for the comics to see more of who these characters were. I know I did, my comic book phase ended over a decade ago, but it happened because of JLU lol

MyDude SnakePlisskin

Incidentally, Batman created an entire personality inside his own mind which is set to take over if Bruce ever becomes a danger to the mission. That personality, unbeknownst to Bruce, built a super robot with built in contingencies for every member of The Justice League who is set to activate in the event that Batman ever kills anyone.

Burnzy

#SundayRundown Before you guys hit the point where the show switches from Justice League to Justice League Unlimited, I’d strongly recommend watching the 2010 animated movie Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths first. That movie was originally written as the official bridge between the two, but it got shelved at the time. The writer later turned that exact script into the movie instead. Even though the titles are different, Justice League and Justice League Unlimited are really the same continuous series in the same continuity — same universe, same core team, same creative vision. The name change was mostly a network rebrand with some format adjustments. Crisis on Two Earths was designed to connect them smoothly, and it still works great for that. It’s underrated and a perfect watch right before you start Unlimited.

Tyler

This is a series that just keeps getting better the longer it goes. Enjoy the ride

J. J.

Honestly once you get to Hereafter in Season 2, the show completely takes off to another level.

L D

YES FINALLY!!! Took far too many business days to get here 😂
