Episode was great, You can imagine almost every non biased watcher loved it. Only people who didnt are Hal jordan stans who are on twitter throwing shade at John stewart (the best green lantern fight me)

What a great fucking premiere. Wow. True Detective meets Green Lantern/DC Universe! Suraj got Damion from Lost, DC & 2 actors from The Walking Dead universe (Chris Coy & Garret Dillhunt) in one episode lol banger 🔥 In one episode Kyle Chandler is a way better Hal than Ryan Reynolds. I wanna never hear a GL joke in a Deadpool movie again! lol. Aaron Pierre just screams John Stewart and it’s so dope how y’all noticed him wearing a similar fit to what he wore in the JL show. Weekly TV at its finest. I’m ready for Sunday!

I don’t know anything about the Green Lanterns other than the basics, but this was interesting. Can’t wait for more. Also love seeing Kelly Macdonald in stuff. She is great Boardwalk Empire and Trainspotting, and is an official Disney princess

Strong 1st ep and believe me it just gets better. The timelines can get confusing. In 2026 Guy is the green lantern and hes been the green lantern for a few years. The 2026 timeline takes place after Superman, Creature Commandos and Peacemaker. In the 2016 timeline, Superman isnt around, he's still in Smallville going to high school but aliens do exist and Meta humans have been around for 300 years. There's gonna be good stuff coming and the 2 timelines is a great way to tell a mystery. About the question with the ages, Garrett Dillahunt is 61 while Jason Ritter is 46. Ritter could easily be 43 and Dillahunt can be 63 on the show which caould easily make them father and son. Kelly Macdonald is 50 but she also could be 45 or even 40 on the show. Poornal aka Zoe Macon is 53 but she could either be playing older or is the step mom to jason ritter's character.

#SundayRundown There's something almost like Derry from IT happening in this small town. The show made it a point to draw attention to decades. From the show taking place in 2016 and 2026, to Hal's hologram being a decade old. I wouldn't even be surprised if John was 10 when his dad shot that apple off his head. There's meaning here, and I can't wait to rewatch this once we have the full picture. I'm really invested in whatever's going down as when we're in the past we can have a a cool action packed scenario with green lantern powers, and in the present we can have a dark murder mystery trying to solve 'who killed Hal and where's the ring?' Can't wait for next week!

You should definitely still also do the animated movies First Flight and Emerald Knights and the Green Lantern Animated series which had a connection in Young Justice! Sherrif Kane might be from THE Kane family, as in Kate Kane, Batwoman. She was talking on the phone with someone about a Barbara, maybe Gordon

I think the fallout of whatever happens in Rushville in 2016 is why Guy Gardener gets a ring. Hal keeps his and John is probably kicked out of the trainee program

#SundayRundown - I saw this theory somewhere, but someone pointed out that Guy Gardner’s ring in the Superman movie is completely and fully green; on the other hand Hal’s ring in the show is rimmed with Yellow. Yellow Lanterns are powered by fear and get their power from the entity Parallax the living embodiment of fear who has very famously possessed Hal Jordan in the comics among other things so I’m interested in if that design detail actually means anything. P.S. yes very powerful abilities absolutely need a weakness or drawback in order for the story to work smoothly and have stakes. It’s why Gojo is still imprisoned like the bum he is rn 🤣

#SUNDAYRUNDOWN Lol Suraj keeps trying to bring Guy into the equation 😂 the ring Guy uses in Superman 2025 is not Hal’s ring. Hal just died in 2026 in world, Guy was active simultaneously to him. It’s a different ring. He is in this show though

I think Peacemaker season 2 takes place in 2025, 1 month after Superman cause he appears on a talk show talking about Superman in the movie. By the end of season 2 he's stuck in Salvation. I think this is the timeline....... 1986: Hal becomes Green Lantern 1996: Krypton is destroyed/Hal announces to the world he is the Green Lantern 2021: The Suicide Squad 2022: Superman public debut 2023: Peacemaker season 1/Clayface 2024: Creature Commandos 2025: Superman and Peacemaker season 2 2026: Supergirl/Lanterns 2027: Creature Commandos season 2/Man of Tomorrow

Wow this is True Detective with superheroes. This is such an amazing idea, they even have the time jumps like True Detective. Jason Ritter was also the voice of Dipper in Gravity Falls.

I don’t know if they will pull this from the comics, but historically, there was only One Lantern for each sector. Then after the events of Emerald Dawn (aka Hal goes crazy) each sector had more ring weilders, catagorizing some as honorguard or something to that effect. By then I think there were 4 Lanterns for earth not counting Guy ( who was going undercover in the Red Lanterns) i really hope we get to see the other Lanterns in the spectrum
