#SundayRundown Great reaction!! Loved the moment between Supes and.J'onn at the end. This three parter is fun but the best is yet to come. Spidey is right! The Batman Beyond stuff is relevant in Justice League Unlimited and really.. it's a continuation of Justice League even though it's listed as a different show!

Reynaldo Urena

Since you brought up Super friends, highly recommended watching AveVane’s Super Friends Ultimate Compilation, hilarious parody and he’s also done a compilation for the DCAU Justice League that you could watch after seeing Justice League and Justice League Unlimited.

TrixieTurner

Yeah Chris knows what’s up, he knows Batman got the best taste. This is the start of some true gourmet shit, some of the best relationships in dc are from Justice League and wonderbats is one of em. At the time the dynamics in the show were something fresh, a hot new take to really sell the crew as not just heroes but a real group of coworkers and friends. This show is just so iconic even if you don’t think it’s the best thing DCs dropped you still gotta bring it up every debate about the GOAT.

GKDreamerTV

Hey there! Wait a minute, aren’t those the same X-men shirts I donated to you two years ago? Kinda feels like a blast from the past 🤩

Zeee

#SundayRundown, as a kid I never actually realized it but binging the show along with you guys made’e realize that Batman was always kind of a part time member of the team. I don’t thing he ever officially joins Also, you guys have seen Snapper Carr before. He was a recurring character in Young Justice lol. In lore is that he was just basically a teenage mascot, honorary member of the Justice League to tap into youth culture in the 60s

Jon Mercano

Oh my god! I had a similar experience to Chris with the school thing! Someone in class asked or I said that they had arachnophobia and they were like “what?” Fear of spiders. “How do you know that?” Batman TAS 😂 It would be great if you guys reacted to Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law. It makes the Hanna Barbera superhero Birdman a lawyer who defends Barbera characters. Like scooby and shaggy are arrested for suspected possession. The episodes are short too, like 11-12 minutes

Step B.

I think there was a bit of a misunderstanding with Superman’s powers near the end there. He doesn’t literally need the sun to use his powers, it’s more like he’s a battery and the sun is a generator. Remember the aliens had blotted out the sun for however long by this episode and Superman has more or less been fighting them the whole time. It’s probably more accurate to assume that he didn’t have the energy to use heat vision until the sun gave him a little more. Imagine someone made you do a long marathon and then told you to do a full tilt sprint right afterward

2026-09-26 15:00 This version of Superman is favourite portrayal of him. He embodies everything about the character and he's only person who can get Bruce Wayne to fund a multi billion dollar idea and trust him with it.

Funny enough, "Justice League" is the group's secondary name in Super Friends. And I started watching Super Friends and this show at the same time, lol.

Dale Cooper

Why is he talking about rebel's cum?

Gaen RDN

Justice league 3x1 and on youtube its superman 3x1. Absolute cinema

Dale Cooper

A Super Best Friends reference? Deep cut.

#SundayRundown- Loved this! Great end to the three parter/beginning of the Justice League journey. Great moment at the end where the last son of Krypton bonded with the last living Martian- contrast that with Batman putting up a multibillion dollar orbiting HQ and then not joining the team full time and you get the League's dynamic in a nutshell :-).

SunnydaleClassof99

#SundayRundown Imperium is an entirely new villain created for the show. It makes sense to devise an entirely original threat to give them something to triumph over completely. The look of all their different forms is great & they definitely have a Jack Kirby influenced design.

Shockzz1234

Shoutout to Boomerang! Was legit my favourite cartoon channel growing up, even more than Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network lol. Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry, Pink Panther, Scooby-Doo, Wile E. Coyote and the Roadrunner, Wacky Races, The Flintstones, Captain Caveman, the list goes on and on and on lol. Also yeah, Imperium putting its tentacles into J'onn freaked me the fuck out as a kid lol.

2026-09-10 02:00 #SundayRundown Always loved this opening 3 parter. Just wanted to let you know about some connected DC movies in case other comments haven't told you. Justice League: God's and Monsters is a movie that's an elseworlds story of the show's universe. It has the same artstyle, creators, and writers as the show and is very good. Also stars Micheal C Hall and Benjamin Bratt as their universe's Batman and Superman if that helps convince you. I personally love those movie. It's one of my favorite alternative takes on the characters. The second movie is Justice League vs The Fatal Five. This one is straight up a movie length episode of Justice League Unlimited made almost 20 years after. Like the other movie it also shares the show's artstyle, writers, and creators, plus almost the entire cast reprise their roles from the show.

Most older fans including myself consider Justice League and Unlimited to be one show. Ergo, JL is a five season with the last three being called Unlimited. That's how it aired on CN back in the day and I'm convinced that they are only seen as separate shows because of the way dvds and streaming have split them 🤔.

SunnydaleClassof99

@CJ Dennis definitely consider them one show even though there are some differences between the two. The DCAU probably doesn't get talked about enough for how dense the storytelling is & the sheer scope of it.

SunnydaleClassof99

Yeah the OG Snapper was a lot. Got his nickname from snapping his fingers all the time. He was a total beatnik 😆

SunnydaleClassof99

Reactions to Harvey Birdman would be amazing. The Hanna Barbera deep cuts wouldn't connect with them but the jokes come so fast it hardly matters. At the very least they should watch "The Dabba Don" after The Sopranos. Harvey defends Fred Flintstone & it's basically Fred as Tony.

SunnydaleClassof99

That must've been jarring going from one show to the other. especially if it was Wonder Twins era.

Jon Mercano

Daba Don is one of my favorites!

Michael Acuna

My parents introduced me to Challenge of the Superfriends on DVD, then I caught the rest on TV.

Ludwig's Fishbowl

@CJ Dennis Agreed! That's probably what contributed to it!
