Unstablebeast

The xmen movies id recommend watching, xmen 1, 2, and 3, first class, the wolverine and days of future past

Ray Louison

Thank God Chris is here.

Jon Mercano

It definitely won’t be important for Doomsday at all, but I really want you guys to do the Wolverine Origin movie I forgot Rana wasn’t on the 97 reactions. I was like “Girl, you know these things. Wait, oh no you don’t” 😂 So Sabretooth doesn’t come back in present time of the movies, except DP&W. He does come back in a prequel comic for X2 where him and Wolverine fight then talk about being experimented on and having amnesia. He goes to find and kill whoever did this to them (Stryker) but gets caught, they try to bond adamantium to him but his body rejects it. Stryker orders him to be put down but we don’t see it. He shows up in a bridge game for X2 and Last Stand but idk if they were thinking about the comic at all Rogue is Mystique’s adopted daughter in most iterations Not Sam Witwer, Ray Park the stunt performer for live action Maul was Toad. He even did a pose!

Sage

So basically all of them😂

Unstablebeast

No, origins, apocalypse, and dark Phoenix can all be skipped, logan should be watched eventually but its definitely the end of all these movies so it should be saved for last if it gets watched at all.

Sage

Fun fact: the reason Hugh jackman is not as buff as we know him to be is because he wasn’t the original casting of Wolverine. The original actor dropped out because of mission impossible and Russell Crow turned it down so Jakcman was last minute

KMun79

I remember when my best friend and I (long time comic book nerds) went to the theater to see this movie. When it was over, we looked at each over and couldn't stop talking about how it was a "real movie." Not camp or overly jokey, it took its subject matter seriously and had (for it's time) great costuming and special effects. It's hard to overestimate how important its success was in setting the stage for what later became the MCU.

SnapGrapplePop

You’ve already watched 1 & 2. I think you’d only need to watch First Class, Days Of Future Past and Logan. The rest are either meh or actively bad. Oh, and watch The Faculty. That isn’t X-men related. But whenever Famke Janssen appears I feel obligated to mention it 😂

Narutoanime16

Man X Men 97 makes these movies so lackluster lol but still fun. They really did hammer Wolverine soo much in these films like Cyclops is the leader of the team and they never once showed that, just Charles, Magneto and Logan took the spotlight , like Storm isn't really a character in these films at all we don't get her backstory or why she has claustrophobia

@eric.na.goo.yen

Rana I think your new superhero name should be “Ranagade” 💪

@eric.na.goo.yen

I’ll be honest, I seriously hate almost all the X-Men movies. First Class and Logan are the only ones worth watching imo.

SSJ VEGITO

Well THIS finally explains a lot! Lmao I asked a while back when Chris mentioned something about watching X2 soon that I couldn't think of an X2 besides X-Men 2 (2003), but it didn't make sense to me that you guys would watch it without having seen X1 FIRST 😆 What made you guys decide to watch the X-Men movies, is there some new IP coming out that I'm not aware of?? 👀😅🤣

Jay

Surprised none of them commented on Jubilee popping up at 14:37.

Patrick

also because having actors get ridiculously buff and dehydrate themselves so their muscles stand out wasn't as much of a thing back in 2000, from what I remember

Richard Kors

These movies have a special place in my heart before Mcu we had fox X-Men

Gambit3838

The OG trilogy, The Wolverine, First Class and DOFP are the only ones needed for Doomsday. Those other movies were a fever dream that didn't actually happen. They are a rumor, a myth, a secret whispered about in the dark. Lol

Nabeshin

This is an amazing full-circle moment for me, since I first discovered The Normies ten years ago, when you did that huge group reaction to the "Logan" trailer. (Yes, that was ten years ago. Holy...) I didn't realize this many of you hadn't seen/didn't remember the movies that started that whole thing! I didn't become a patron until 7 years later when you started watching "BLEACH" (THAT LAST EPISODE HOLY F***ING S*** HURRY UP AND PUT THE DUB OUT SO THE NORMIES CAN GET THERE FUUUUUUUUUUU-!!!!!!!!), but technically it was the X-Men that started my journey with y'all. 👍🏽 I concur that you should watch "First Class", then "The Wolverine", then "Days of Future Past". Specifically, I recommend "The Rogue Cut". The pacing is a little slow in parts, but overall, the added content in that version is well worth it for those who have watched all the other movies. Before any of that, however, DEFINITELY watch "X-MEN ORIGINS: Wolverine". I don't understand why people wouldn't want you to watch that. THIS IS A DAMN REACTION CHANNEL! That movie is content gold! 😆 You already did that Bad DC Movies series, so there's no reason not to do just one trainwreck from Fox Marvel. "Apocalypse" and "Dark Phoenix" are completely skippable because they are bad in very pedestrian ways. "ORIGINS: Wolverine" is a glorious catastrophe that y'all would have a lot of fun with; AND it's still connected to the other films in...interesting ways. 😉 EDIT: No it wasn't Sam Witwer, Chris. Wrong Darth Maul. Toad is played by Ray Park; THE Darth Maul. That's why he does a little spin with that pole after kicking Storm down the elevator shaft. That was a little Easter egg to the fans who watched him in Episode 1 a year prior to this.

Chris K.

unpopular opinion but the FOX-Men theme goes as hard as the animated series one!

Chris K.

damn its not even in the first one

J. J.

This was way ahead of its time on rewatch wow.

Ashish Patel

#SundayRundown I'm surprised no one caught the Jubilee cameo at 14:37 and Stan Lee cameo at the 22:10

Zeee

Chris is the king of being sorta right about things but then completely wrong at the same time lmao Also, guys, USE GOOGLE lmao. You have the keyboard right there. You use it to search lesser stuff 😭😭

J. J.

Or the Stan Lee cameo that everybody missed...

J. J.

Both are garbage

@eric.na.goo.yen

Is that why you came on the internet today? To be wrong?

Stan the Man

That Pat guy sure is something. Dude says some of the most hilariously ilogical & weird shit. “He has no eyes”. “He was faking”. Like…what!? There’s no way buddy legit thought Patrick Stewart’s PSYCHIC character physically transported himself to Magnetos base & then randomly pulled off a Doctor Strangelove. There’s no way. The dudes job is to watch movies and TV shows for a living & it’s like he has zero understanding of storytelling lol. When you watch Netflix shows that explain things over and over and over, it’s because of audiences members like him.

VenturaInTheBaja

Logan, good to decent, first class aged poorly and is just very poor acting in most scenes unfortunately. Nostalgia makes people defend a lot of poor movies.

Sage

Well yes and no. They definitely didn’t have the tech or regimen that we see today, but action stars have always been extremely huge. Especially in the 80’s with people like Arnold swartzenegger and Sylvester Stallone

SunnydaleClassof99

#SundayRundown Sabretooth here is played by Tyler Mane. Before acting he was a wrestler for many years. He wrestled all over the globe under a number of names. Probably his most notable period was for WCW in 1993 as Big Sky. Following X-Men his acting career became his priority. Many of the roles were small supporting parts. The most screen time for Tyler was as Michael Myers in both of Rob Zombie's Halloween films.

@eric.na.goo.yen

I defend First Class because it’s the only X-Men film that isn’t completely offensive when it comes to continuity issues, visuals, story structure, writing. It has its issues, but it’s overall so much more competent than all the others. I honestly cannot understand why anyone defends the other early X-Men films. They’re atrocities in every regard.

Sonicluis

Please watch all of them. Also when we get to days of future past. Please do the rouge cut.

Maurice Gray Jr

Don't listen to those telling you not to watch certain X-movies. Watch them all and make your own decisions about which are good and which are garbage. I love your reactions to bad movies by the way, and if you take the entire X-journey from this one to New Mutants, you'll find a few bad ones. Enjoy the journey!

Maurice Gray Jr

If your schedule demands that you can only watch Doomsday relevant X-films, it's the first trilogy, First Class and Days of Future Past that do timeline stuff. Logan is an amazing film and worth watching (and it leads into Deadpool and Wolverine in a way). The three Deadpool movies (particularly 2 and Deadpool and Wolverine) also factor into Doomsday with timeline stuff. I suspect that a second watching of D & W would be fun after this. You get more of the references and appreciate the returning characters if you've seen them in the Fox Marvel movie run.

Michael Colorado

he talks too much sometimes just got to let people watch

Unstablebeast

Logan is the last movie and honestly the most disconnected, you literally cant watch days of future past without watching first class, plus first class is easily a top 2 xmen movie with days of future past being 1

Michael Colorado

Or that jean Grey is actor also is xenia onatopp from GoldenEye
