There’s been numerous times in history that Lantern suit were physical. It’s just more known currently as something the ring does. Also the last time they did it like that, was in the 2011 movie.. so yeah.

Refer to my point about Batman. But just cause the movie made it cgi doesn't mean you have to. Just make a practical suit and say it's a construct. They'll probably do that for John anyway.

What kind of logic is that? Adaption means you can pull anything. Reeves Batman doesn’t live in Wayne Manor like 90% of the comics but in an apartment like a specific time in the 70s.

I mean you can pull anything that doesn't mean you should or it'll work. I never said these changes ruined an adaptation. Well a Batman who kills does. But when adapting something not all the changes you make are gonna be good. I'm a big fan of Gunn's Superman movie but I'm not a fan of the change made to his Kryptonian parents.

I think one Manhunter survived and built some more Manhunters by either converting the townspeople like Cybermen ( so no need for medical services) or fully constructing them. Can’t imagine Macon being so anti-alien then working for an alien android unless he was getting something out it like upgraded human bodies to fight “ colonization”

#SundayRundown another banger episode 💚 I’m loving how the True Detective inspiration is merging so well with the Lanterns mythos and lore. Kyle Chandler & Aaron Pierre is absolutely killing it in their roles and had time to establish their own storylines with the mysteries I don’t know if y’all caught last week but Sheriff Kane was on the phone with someone and said “Say hi to Barb for me” now she establishes that she’s from Gotham. There’s a cool possibility that she may know Jim Gordon & thus Barbara/Batgirl and maybe related to Batwoman who’s last name is also Kane 🤔🤔🤔

#SundayRunDown Do you think Sheriff Kane could be related to Kate Kane Bruce’s cousin who is Batwoman & we did hear her on the phone mentioning someone named Barb which could be Jim Gordon’s Wife or his daughter. Bruce’s mom is also from Kate Kane’s side of the family her middle name is Kane.

#SundayRundown Maybe I'm reading a little too deep into this, but I think the leader of the known aliens is a huge character they're leaving until the end. He went by the name Antaan, but maybe he has another title? There is a famous DC character whose world got annihilated by the Manhunters, and if he's supposed to be that guy, things are so much worse than you could ever imagine. Him being on the planet would have horrifying implications, because while a Manhunter is bad news, this guy would be so much worse.

About the question with the ages, Garrett Dillahunt is 61 while Jason Ritter is 46. Ritter could easily be 43 and Dillahunt can be 63 on the show which caould easily make them father and son. Kelly Macdonald is 50 but she also could be 45 or even 40 on the show. Poornal aka Zoe Macon is 53 but she could either be playing older or is the step mom to jason ritter's character. This is just like in Peacemaker season 2 where people kept going on about Grillo being too young to be the father of rick flagg, which turn out not to be true as Grillo was old enough to be Flagg sr, its the same with DIllahunt and Ritter.

#SundayRundown Love y’all’s reactions and I’m super glad y’all are enjoying it. Now, unfortunately, the show is somehow both taking direct inspiration from the comics but also not adapting anything directly so it’s hard to find any specific fun facts for y’all. However there are a few and I have some more general fun facts for y’all about the creative staff. The phrase ‘Mogo Doesn’t Socialize’ that was used as the safe’s password is from a Green Lantern story called the same. It introduces Mogo, a Green Lantern that’s a literal planet and he doesn’t socialize because he’s so big he would disrupt gravity on Oa, the Corps homeworld. That phrase has actually become a meme both in and out of universe of DC comics, the Green Lanterns just saying “Mogo Doesn’t Socialize” as an inside joke to one another. Next is about the inspiration for the show’s tone and setting. Like I said, the show isn’t taking directly from any particular storyline, however, it seems heavily inspired by Hard Traveling Heroes. A period of time where Green Lantern(Hal Jordan) and Green Arrow just drove across America together righting social injustices. It’s also one of the first two comics to deal with drug use after the comics code authority, which banned the topic and many others, came into effect in 1954. It was literally revolutionary. Lastly is the creative staff. Suraj is obviously stocked because we got a creative from Lost, but I’m personally excited because of Tom King, one of the other lead creatives and the one who was head writer for episode one. He’s a relatively famous comic writer and is both beloved and hated in the fandom for his works. He’s written both Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, one of the best comics I’ve ever read to the point I mailed a friend my copy to get it signed by Tom King himself, but he also wrote Heroes in Crisis which is probably the worst comic I’ve ever read that wasn’t straight up offensive in some way. I’ve got hope for him though
